00:00So Myra, why are you running for this election and why should people vote for you?
00:06I'm running for this election because I am so passionate and committed to my community.
00:13Community is at the heart or should be at the heart of everything that we do
00:17and people should vote for me because I will be your biggest advocate. I want to
00:26hear from the community. I'm building my whole campaign around what the community are asking
00:32for. You guys are the experts, you know what your towns need and I want to be the person that can
00:41advocate on your behalf. Excellent and what are your priorities?
00:45My priorities, I've heard from a few people in the community already and a few of the recurring
00:52themes are access to services, particularly daycare and kindergarten services that
00:59there aren't enough and communication has been a really big one. People want assistance with
01:07or they want knowledge of what services are available, how they access them, help with
01:13community assistant funds, all of those sort of things that I think I would really be able to
01:19assist, point people in the right direction and I really want to re-engage our community.
01:24I really want to re-engage. I want people to be excited about council things. There are some
01:30really interesting things that come out of council and I want the community to play a
01:34really big part in getting re-engaged.
