00:00I'm Susan Taylor and I'm running for Moines Shire Council.
00:05What prompted me to run for council was values, so I'm running a values-based campaign.
00:12I believe in the Australian way of life and that the prosperity that we have here in this country is very precious and needs to be upheld.
00:21And that means that it has to be upheld in all institutions and all levels of government.
00:29I believe in the classical liberal tradition of freedom of thought and speech and self-determination and also lesser government.
00:43I'm concerned about the state government pushing policies into local governments, so that's one thing that I'll be looking out for in council.
00:52I'm also aware of the traditional issues that are confronting ratepayers in Moines Shire, such as the condition of the roads, and that's an ongoing one.
01:04So I would like to be contributing to trying to solve those problems as well.
