Transcript
00:00We're running the ticket, we're looking to review everything, put some policies in place
00:09and outcomes.
00:10Yeah, perfect.
00:11And that'll probably sum it up.
00:13Good luck voters.
00:14What the community are asking for, you guys are the experts, you know what your towns
00:20need, and I want to be the person that can advocate on your behalf.
00:25I really want to give back to the community that welcomed me eight or so years ago.
00:30I really want to be a voice for young families in the whole shire, as well as seniors across
00:36the shire as well.
00:37What prompted me to run for council was values, so I'm running a values-based campaign.
00:44I believe in the Australian way of life and that the prosperity and leadership that we
00:48have here in this country is very precious and needs to be upheld.
00:51Apart from the people telling me they'd like me to run again, I think that the rural shire
00:58needs a stabling influence, and being on there a few years, I think I'm one of the stable
01:04ones there.
01:05I'll be running for council to be a voice for mother nature.
01:08Mother nature is not something you're into, but what you are a part of.
01:12If I was running for council, being elected for council, I could really make a difference
01:17to the whole shire, building on what I've achieved already.
01:21The elephant in the room also is we don't have a lot of diversity on our council.
01:25I've been the only woman this term, and before me it was 12 years of one woman, so I think
01:31I've got a bit of an obligation to stand and to represent 51% of our population.
01:37We've got some massive priorities.
01:38I think the roads are an absolute disgrace at the moment.
01:41I wasn't one to strongly advocate for roads previously in the past, but I've never seen
01:47them worse, so absolutely, fixing the roads is a must at the moment.
