00:15Nahmuduhu wa nusalli ila Rasoolihil Kareem.
00:19Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
00:23Ladies and Gentlemen,
00:26Today's topic is extremely important and fundamental,
00:31Tauheed.
00:33Tauheed is such a topic
00:38that without which a person cannot remain a Muslim.
00:44The Quran has said nothing about Tauheed.
00:53The people of the time of the Prophet,
01:01the Quraish of Mecca,
01:04they also believed in Allah,
01:06because the name of the father of the Prophet was Abdullah.
01:10But they did not believe in one Allah.
01:15That is why when the Prophet of the universe
01:19said, La ilaha illallah Muhammad Rasool Allah,
01:24the Quraish of Mecca asked,
01:27What is the definition of your Allah?
01:31At that time, Surah Ikhlas was revealed.
01:35This is the only Surah of the Quran
01:38in which the Prophet's name Ikhlas is not mentioned.
01:44All other Surahs in the Quran
01:48have their names mentioned in Surah Ikhlas.
01:52But the name Ikhlas of Surah Ikhlas
01:57is not mentioned in this Surah.
02:00Because this is Ikhlas.
02:04Now what is said in this Surah?
02:07The Prophet was told,
02:09Qul huwallahu ahad
02:12That you tell them that Allah is One.
02:16Or you command mankind that Allah is One.
02:21Allahu Samad
02:23And Allah is self-sufficient.
02:26Samad has another meaning in Arabic.
02:32And that is strong.
02:35It is such a city
02:38in which nothing can enter or leave.
02:43Samad means self-sufficient and strong.
02:48Samad is explained in the following verses.
02:51Lam ilid wa lam yulad
02:54That he has not come out of anyone,
02:57nor has anyone come out of him.
03:00He is neither a father nor a son.
03:03And then,
03:04wa lam yukullahu kufwan ahad
03:06This is the introduction of Allah.
03:08This is Tauheed.
03:09He has no equal.
03:11He is One.
03:14He is One.
03:17But He is One to explain to us.
03:21Because Allah was One at the time
03:24when the word One had not yet been created.
03:28He is One.
03:30There is no one like Him.
03:32There is no one like Him in His attributes,
03:35in His powers,
03:36in His wonders.
03:38He is Allah.
03:40And no one is in need of anyone.
03:42And the whole universe is in need of Him.
03:45So, this Surah Ikhlas,
03:47the Prophet presented it to the Quraish of Mecca.
03:50That this is the introduction of my Allah.
03:53You believe in Allah,
03:55but there are also 360 of them.
03:59So, my Allah,
04:01there is no partner,
04:02no companion,
04:03no one.
04:04And He is One in His attributes.
04:08Therefore,
04:10without Tauheed,
04:12a person cannot be a Muslim.
04:15And la ilaha illallah means
04:18that no one should be worshipped except Allah.
04:21And Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah,
04:23that the Prophet of Allah is the last Prophet of Allah.
04:30Now, look at this.
04:32It is said in Surah Al-Hashr,
04:43that Allah is the One
04:46who knows the hidden things
04:49as well as the outward things.
04:51He knows the outward things as well.
04:54So, we know the outward things as well.
04:57Allah also knows.
04:59But why is this being said?
05:01It is being said because
05:03we see a desert,
05:06but we do not know
05:08how many particles there are in that desert.
05:11But Allah is aware of every particle of the desert.
05:15It is His creation.
05:17Similarly, we see rain.
05:19We cannot count the drops of rain.
05:21But Allah knows how many drops there are,
05:25how much rain there will be,
05:27and which drop is a drop of mercy,
05:31and which drop can turn into a storm.
05:34This is why it is said,
05:36that you cannot see and understand
05:38the outward things as well.
05:41So, we are the knowers of the unseen.
05:43We also know the hidden things
05:45that are hidden from you.
05:47There is nothing hidden from Allah.
05:49Allah also knows the things
05:51that are hidden from us
05:53as we see the outward things.
05:55So, this is Tauheed.
05:57The purpose of Tauheed is that
05:59Allah is not a part of anything.
06:01He is neither small nor big.
06:03Because the Christians said
06:05that Jesus Christ is Allah's son.
06:07So, he became a part of it.
06:09So, even the smallest drop of milk,
06:12if we take it to a lab,
06:14will remain milk.
06:16And even the smallest drop of water
06:18will remain water.
06:20Neither water can become milk,
06:22nor milk can become water.
06:24So, even the smallest drop of Allah
06:26will remain Allah.
06:28This is why Allah cannot be a part of anything.
06:31Because there cannot be two Allahs.
06:33The Christians made Jesus Christ.
06:36So, we should understand
06:38that in Tauheed,
06:40we should keep in mind
06:42that the creator of the universe
06:44is only one being,
06:46and that is Allah.
06:48He created everyone.
06:50Everything is His creation.
06:52And everything is in need of Him.
06:54And He is not in need of anyone.
06:57After that,
06:59Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah.
07:04And I want to explain this in Tauheed
07:07because he taught us Tauheed.
07:11Allah said to him,
07:13you introduce me.
07:15Say, I am Allah.
07:17You tell them.
07:19Why?
07:21Because no one knows me
07:23as much as you know me.
07:25That is why you tell them
07:27that I am one.
07:29Because you have seen the reality
07:31in the mirage.
07:33That is why no one knows better than you.
07:35That is why you introduce me.
07:37So, this is the status of the Prophet.
07:40It is also the status of the Prophet
07:43that Allah is introducing him
07:45through the Prophet.
07:48That is why we should think
07:50that Tauheed is a very important thing
07:54from which we have come a long way.
07:57We have left one Allah
07:59and created many other places.
08:02Whereas, Allah is the one
08:04who listens to everyone.
08:06Allah is the one who is in need of everyone.
08:08And the Prophet also said
08:11to ask Allah for a pair of shoes.
08:15What is the status of a pair of shoes?
08:17But it is said that
08:19no one can give a pair of shoes
08:21other than Allah.
08:23And the Prophet said
08:25that when you ask,
08:27send blessings upon me.
08:29That is, ask for my charity.
08:31Ask from Allah and ask for my charity.
08:33There are two other great saints
08:35who have passed away.
08:37One is Hazrat Syed Ali Hajweri,
08:39a.k.a. Tata Ganj Baksh.
08:41And the other is
08:43Piran-e-Pir Mabub-e-Subhani
08:45a.k.a. Syed Abdul Qadir Jilani.
08:49His book is Kashf-ul-Majub.
08:51He also has eight or nine books.
08:54Read them and see
08:56how he has described Tauheed.
08:58What all has Piran-e-Pir said
09:00and what all has he written
09:02about Tauheed.
09:04So, when I talk about Tauheed,
09:06I mean to say that
09:08it is so important
09:10that the meaning of the Quran
09:12and Hadith is that
09:14the last breath of a person
09:16who has no god but Allah
09:18will go to heaven.
09:20There is only one proof of heaven
09:22and that is Tauheed.
09:24That is why we should think about it.
09:26May Allah enable me and you
09:28to act on the meaning of these words.
