00:00The National Fund for the next year was passed in the third and final reading of the Camera yesterday before the adjournment.
00:08The new member of the Camera from the ACT-Bayan Party List, Mel Alesmora, was also on the plenary.
00:18Session is adjourned until November 4, 2024, Monday at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
00:26The Camera formally adjourned last night.
00:30But before that, they were able to pass in the third and final reading the House Bill No. 10800
00:37or the estimated 6.352 trillion Pesos of the National Fund for the next year,
00:44along with the approved General Appropriations Bill of the Camera,
00:48the 733 million Pesos budget for the Office of the Vice President.
00:54285 congressmen voted in favor of the approval of the 2025 GAAB,
01:00while three abstained.
01:04On his behalf, House Speaker Martin Romaldes thanked congressmen and low-income families for their efforts.
01:13We adjourn the session in high spirits.
01:16We have demonstrated once again our legislative efficiency with a succession of significant laws.
01:25The House of the People, composed of dedicated public servants,
01:30has demonstrated their tireless efforts to strengthen the Philippine economy,
01:37broaden the range of public service, and reinforce the nation's trust in our governance.

01:52Like the previous budgets, a small committee was formed to accept and amend individual amendments.
01:59Among its members were the Appropriations Chair Elizaldico, Senior Vice Chair Stella Quimbo,
02:06Majority Leader Manix Dalipe, and Minority Leader Marcelino Ribanan.
02:11In the middle of the approval of the budget proposal,
02:14Speaker Romaldes met with the new member of the Camarada,
02:18ACT-Bayan Partylist Representative Percival Sendana.
02:22Despite the recess of the Congress,
02:25Speaker Romaldes continued to listen and monitor the important discussions,
02:31especially when it comes to our economy.
02:34We are on our way as one of Asia's best performing major emerging economies.
02:41Among East Asia's economies that have disclosed their second quarter 2024 GDP,
02:47we rank just below Vietnam at 6.9% while leading Malaysia at 5.8%, Indonesia at 5.1%, and China at 4.7%.
02:58ACT-Congressmen will monitor not only the approval of the budget proposal,
03:04but also its implementation.
