00:00Senators laid out their important goals for the 2025 General Appropriations Bill.

00:17The 2025 National Budget was included in the Senate's plenary.
00:22Some senators stood up to sponsor the 2025 General Appropriations Bill.
00:28Some important goals were laid out for the National Fund.
00:32Additional funds will be allocated to the health, education, and livelihood sectors.
00:36Our major hospitals like the Philippine Children's Medical Center, Lung, and Heart Center
00:43will also receive additional funding to cater to indigent patients.
00:48Additional funds were allocated for the first 1,000 days program of DOH and National Nutrition Council
00:56where nutritious food will be provided to the 19,900 nutritionally at-risk children.
01:06The program for aid will not be neglected, especially for those in need.
01:11In the field of education, senators waited for the budget for the teaching materials of teachers.
01:17Students will not be neglected either.
01:20We have additional funds for the DepEd 8-week Literacy and Numeracy Program
01:27to help close the divide in learning proficiency.
01:30We also infused massive funding to DepEd's budget on textbooks and instructional materials.
01:38The program is also included for senior citizens,
01:41housing for the Filipino family,
01:43assistance for OSWs, and even for PUV drivers.
01:48Mitigation to Calamity will also be included in the funding.
01:52We have additional funds for the Integrated Disaster Shelter Assistance Program
01:58that will be used for emergency shelter support.
02:01Aside from this, we have additional funds for the Quick Response Fund
02:05for rehabilitation and assistance to victims and incidents.
02:10For defense or defense, some senators assured additional funds
02:15for agriculture, infrastructure, labor, and transportation.
