00:00On the kickoff of the deliberations for the 2025 national budget,
00:04the amount of close to 159 billion pesos in unprogrammed funds
00:09was brought up along with the issue of how to pay the huge national debt,
00:14the bulk of which was amassed in the previous administration.
00:18Our Daniel Manalastas dwells on them, plus the poverty threshold
00:22and the controversial PhilHealth amount of tens of billions
00:26reverted to the Treasury in this report.
00:30As the Senate is poised to hold its budget deliberations in the plenary,
00:34a couple of issues that surfaced include the unprogrammed funds and poverty threshold.
00:40In May 2025, a new data will come out.
00:44A food nutritionist will come up with a nutritious meal plan
00:49based on what's available and then that meal plan will be submitted to the PSA.
00:57The controversial issue on PhilHealth returning to the Treasury of savings of unspent funds

01:24Senator Risa Hontiveros, meanwhile, raised the issue of late registration of birth.
