00:00The Philippines government budget deficit narrows in August this year.
00:05Data released by the Bureau of the Treasury or BTR shows that it went down from P133 billion in the same month last year to P54.2 billion this year.
00:17The budget deficit from January to August of this year declined by 4.86% compared to last year.
00:25This shortage was due to growth in the government revenues alongside the shrinking in the expenditures.
