00:00When did you start falling in love with Michigan and why?
00:07I started, uh, I was a Bo Schembechler guy as a kid.
00:12I became a Michigan fan in like 1977 and you know, I grew up watching, you know, all sports,
00:19but I was watching a Rose Bowl, Scott, and I saw this coach like freaking out on the
00:25sidelines and throwing things and he threw his headset like basically at the ref.
00:29You remember what he was like?
00:30He's like, you son of a bitch.
00:31He threw his headset.
00:32Yeah.
00:33He got all tangled up and he's like, and I was like, man, and then I saw the play and
00:37I was like, he's right.
00:38They're getting screwed.
00:39Right.
00:40I was like, man, he's got it.
00:41He's got a right to it.
00:42And I think it was Charles White actually went over the top of the end zone.
00:46He wasn't really in and, and, and, and also listen, growing up on the East coast, I got
00:52Michigan games every Saturday on ABC, right?
00:55So I sort of grew up with that Brian greasy, uh, Bob greasy, uh, as the analyst and Keith
01:00Jackson, uh, doing the game.
01:02So I got into Michigan as like a seven year old Scott and there was no turning back.
01:08And then a couple of years later, when I was like 13, 14 or something, my, my, one of my
01:14uncles moved to Ann Arbor just by chance.
01:18He moved to Ann Arbor and he has a son and stuff.
01:21One of my cousins, a good hockey player.
01:23He played for Eastern Michigan to play for the Michigan Wolverines, but they moved there
01:27so we could play a college hockey and he played, uh, he played for Eastern Michigan.
01:32So that it was just sort of, you know, locked in, right?
01:35Like as a kid, I was getting Michigan, Michigan for Christmas.
01:38And so I was already indoctrinated by the time I was like, you know, I was watching
01:43I was seven by the time I was 12, like I didn't like, and I never liked another team.
01:49There's never been in my life.
01:50I said, Oh yeah.
01:51I was also a fat.
01:52No, never.
01:53I'm not going to lie.
01:55I did like Herschel Walker.
01:58I think your boy Bo was like Woody Hayes.
02:01They were very similar because, uh, he, you know, they were actually friends, but they
02:06were rivals and they both had hot tempers, which I love because they got nice.
