00:00Cowboys, Ravens, I cannot wait for this football game.
00:06I think this is super exciting.
00:08I know for a lot of people, they'd be like, ah, this would be better if they were 2-0.
00:12Totally disagree.
00:13If they were 2-0, I couldn't care.
00:15I would argue.
00:16More drama.
00:17Yes.
00:18More drama.
00:19Yes.
00:20Hunger games.
00:21Hunger games.
00:22Now, the caveat is, I actually sneaky think either team could survive a loss due to what's
00:27surrounding them within their divisions.
00:29It's not about your season being over.
00:33It's about what a loss would suggest for one of these teams.
00:36It's about a Baltimore team who thought to themselves, ah, we shouldn't be Kansas City.
00:41We'll be fine.
00:42Love of water.
00:43Up 10 late.
00:44Vegas.
00:45Oh, my God.
00:46We just lost at home for the second straight year to Gardner Minshew.
00:48It's about a Dallas team that punched Cleveland in the mouth and sat on the football the whole
00:53second half, thought they'd show up, roll New Orleans, and got absolutely obliterated
01:00in their own building.
01:02And now, in an attempt to get off of the mat, bring in Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens,
01:07who in their own right are trying to get off of the mat.
01:12Ravens a road favorite, albeit slight, but again, it is noteworthy that under Mike McCarthy,
01:18Dallas has been largely unbeatable in this building.
01:23Just to put it into perspective, when he took the job since that time, this team at home
01:29has the, ah, is 25 and 9 straight up, but they weren't very good in his first year.
01:34They are 21 and 5 at home.
01:37Definitely the best record in the league since 2021 here, Joe.
01:40Cowboys, Ravens, how do you start the breakdown?
01:42Well, I like Dallas here in this matchup because, in fact, they are at home.
01:46I think they need to run the football a little bit more consistently than what they did last
01:50week.
01:51It's a tough task going up against the front seven in Baltimore that held Las Vegas to
01:55a 1.6 yards per carry, but they couldn't use the rushing attack last week because they
02:00fell behind by double digits.
02:02They became completely one-dimensional.
02:05I look for more offensive balance here, and that front seven for Dallas needs to get much
02:09better in back-to-back games.
02:11I know they were dominant against Cleveland in regards to that matchup, forcing turnovers,
02:16but in-run support, they're going to be challenged today by Derrick Henry and Lamar, especially
02:20on the perimeter.
02:21They gave up four touchdowns to Alvin Kamara and over 115 yards.
02:25I do feel that they start running the football, working off of play action.
02:29The fact that they're at home, that's the biggest thing for me.
02:32I'm willing to take Dallas as a slight underdog.
02:35This is what we talk about week one to week two and say, OK, trust your eyes, take a look
02:38at the game plan, but we'll know a little bit more in week number three.
02:41I looked at that game week number one and said, boy, that Dallas Cowboys defense, guys,
02:44was really good.
02:45I'm excited to watch them play, and honestly, in week number two, if New Orleans didn't
02:48pull the plug, they might have been able to hang 70 points on that Dallas defense.
02:52So you had Michael Parsons week number one.
02:53Love these guys.
02:54What a great locker room.
02:55Tremendous, too.
02:56Week number two said, we got to look inside and see if we have any heart left for game
02:59number three.
03:00Now, the interesting point is going to be where we didn't expect the Ravens to be in
03:03this spot.
03:04You might have thought they might lose opening night to the world champions, and they did,
03:06and it was a close game.
03:07Easy win was supposed to be in week number two.
03:09They didn't get that.
03:10Now, you look at week number three.
03:11If you enter in this game and lose and end 0-3, the statistics used to be on a 16-game
03:16schedule.
03:170-2 was the death nail.
03:18Now, a 17-game schedule, 0-3, that should be it.
03:20Now, granted, they're talented.
03:22There's an extra wild card spot.
03:23Seven teams make the playoffs.
03:24They could do that.
03:25But if I'm going to watch this game and see Dallas pull ahead and beat it, I have serious
03:28question marks on that entire philosophy from what they have.
03:31Did they not run it today?
03:32Did they not throw it enough today?
03:33Is Lamar Jackson supposed to be that MVP?
03:35That's what we're going to find out.
