00:02This is a story about a social game in which only bad things happen to those who play it.
00:06And today we are making a resume of a 1995 movie called Jumanji.
00:11Before we start, most of you who watch our movies are not subscribed to our channel,

00:21The year is 1869 in Brantford and two boys go far into the woods to bury a wooden box.
00:28While they are burying it, they wish mercy to the soul that finds it.
00:31A hundred years later, the forest is now cut down due to construction.
00:34Alan Parrish is the son of a local successful businessman and he goes to the construction site where the box is now located.
00:40He digs the ground and finds the box and opens it and sees the social game Jumanji in it, and takes it home.
00:46Alan is a good friend of Carl Bentley, that is, an employee at the shoe factory owned by Alan's father,
00:51and Carl shows him a new design of shoes for which he thinks will become popular.
00:55Alan puts the shoe in the wrong place and the reason is not a broken track.
00:59Carl blames himself and because of that incident, he is fired.
01:03That evening, the parents tell Alan that he will soon move to a private school,
01:07partly to continue the family tradition, and partly to run away from the rapists who beat him every day.
01:13He opposes this decision and comes up with a plan how to escape until his parents are not there.
01:19Sarah, that is, the girl he fights for, is from his current school and comes to him that night.
01:25She gives him back the bicycle that the rapists stole from him.
01:29He shows her the game Jumanji in which he writes for those who are looking for a way to leave their world.
01:34Sarah recklessly throws a dice, which causes the game to start,
01:37and the figures begin to move on their own even though no one has touched them.
01:42Alan is drawn into the game, which emphasizes that he is waiting in the jungle until a player gets a five or eight.
01:47Frightened, Sarah is thrown out of the Periš's villa by the bats.
01:52Twenty-six years later, a new family settles in the now abandoned villa.
01:56Judy and Peter Sheffer settle in it with their aunt Nora,
02:00who is their guardian since their parents died in an accident while skiing in Canada.
02:04While exploring the basement, Peter is terrified by the bats.
02:07They call a deratizer who does not find the bats,
02:10but tells them a strange story that happened in the villa years ago.
02:14The children discover the game Jumanji and start playing it,
02:17and the game then includes monkeys and huge mosquitoes that run towards the city.
02:21The children then read a warning that tells the players not to play the game if they do not plan to finish it to the end,
02:26and they continue because of that.
02:28Because of the constant throwing of dice, a lion appears and chases the children around the villa.
02:32The children are cornered, but the man for whom they pretend to be Alan, who was captured in the game, saves them.
02:37Angry, Alan runs around the villa looking for his parents,
02:40but the children tell him what the current situation is.
02:44Alan starts panicking and runs to the street where he is hit by a police car.
02:48The name of the policeman is Carl Bentley, and that is the name that Alan recognizes,
02:51but he can't remember exactly where from.
02:54When the policeman gets out of the car to see Alan's strange appearance a little better,
02:58the monkeys that ran away from the villa get into the car and drive away.
03:01Alan goes to the place where the factory of his father's shoes used to be, but sees that it is now abandoned.
03:07The homeless man who is in the building tells Alan that his father Sam Persh closed the factory
03:12to try to find his lost son, and he asked Alan for everything until his death in 1991.
03:19The closure of the factory had a very negative impact on the economy of the entire city, which has not been able to recover since then.
03:24Huge mosquitoes cause chaos in the city.
03:27Alan, Judy and Peter take the abandoned car and go back to the villa where they are trying to finish the game.
03:33Alan says that he owns the house and does not want to continue with the game.
03:36He tells the children that they are lions, monkeys and mosquitoes,
03:38only at the beginning and that much worse things are waiting for them.
03:42Peter wakes up and Alan feels guilty and persuades him to continue the game, and in the end he gives up.
03:47They try to continue the game, but the game no longer registers their throwing dice.
03:51Alan realizes that the serach he started the game with must participate in it.
03:55They find the house where he lives alone and take him to the villa.
03:59She was traumatized by what happened 26 years ago and had to seek help from a psychiatrist.
04:05Alan is convinced that she must also join the game,
04:08so she throws dice and her throwing causes plants to appear around them, but they manage to defend themselves from them.
04:14The next throw brings a colonial hunter to the elephants named Van Pelt,
04:18who caught Alan while he was trapped in the game.
04:21He chases Alan and forces him to leave the house.
04:24Karl, who returned his car, comes to the place where the shooting continues.
04:28Alan runs away and returns back to the villa to continue the game.
04:31Now it's Judy's turn to throw dice and she frees a bunch of wild animals that make a mess all the way to the city.
04:37The pelican steals the game from him and leaves with it.
04:39In the meantime, Van Pelt comes to the workshop where weapons are sold.
04:43He uses his money, which is very rare, to buy a gun.
04:47The pelican drops the game into the river and the players manage to catch it before it falls off the cliff.
04:52On their way to the city, Karl stops them.
04:54The policeman is convinced that all the problems the city is currently facing are caused by Alan and immediately arrests him.
04:59On their way to the police station, Alan discovers his real identity, Karl.
05:04The chaos in the city continues and Van Pelt finds Sarah, Judy and Peter and steals the game from them.
05:09They follow him to the market where they catch him and return the game to his possession.
05:13Karl let Alan go and he joins the rest of the group and they return back to the villa, but now it's completely covered in plants.
05:20Nura's aunt, who experienced a fight because of the monkey that was in her car, finds Karl and returns back to the villa with him.
05:27Back in the villa, Sarah throws dice and a monsoon occurs that causes a flood.
05:31The group climbs to a higher level and Karl and Nura open the door of the villa, causing all the water to go towards the street.
05:37After Alan's next throw, the floor turns into a living sand, Judy quickly throws dice to make up for her move and tries to save Alan.
05:46Alan is saved, but is stuck in the floor.
05:48Peter's move frees the spider army with which the group is fighting.
05:52Sarah throws dice and causes a big earthquake that opens the failure and Alan is now free.
05:57Judy, meanwhile, is poisoned by one of the plants and she falls unconscious.
06:01Now it's Alan's move, but a pelt appears outside that immediately throws a gun at him and tells him to throw dice.
06:07Alan throws dice and gets a winning number and the game ends and he returns the story of 1969.
06:14Alan quickly hugs his father and tells him that he's to blame for the tape in the factory stopping working.
06:19His father is very proud of him and tells him that he won't have to go to a private school if he doesn't want to.
06:25Years later, in 1995, Alan and Sarah are married and are expecting a baby.
06:30Alan runs a business instead of his parents who are still alive.
06:33They organize a Christmas party where they meet Judy, Peter and their parents.
06:38They insist that they should cancel their plans for skiing in Canada because they know that this trip will cause their death.
06:45Some time later, two girls are walking on the beach and find a box covered in sand and the name Jumanji is written on it.
