00:00It is expected that 200 to 300 aspirants to become congressmen will receive the Certificate of Candidacy in the Comelic NCR in San Juan City.

00:16The situation in receiving the Comelic NCR in San Juan City is already very tense.

00:31This is where the dream of becoming a congressman in Metro Manila will receive the Certificate of Candidacy.

00:38Since the first day of the COC filing, the number of congressional aspirants has been increasing.

00:44Some of the first to file the COC for re-election were voted by Sloan District Rep. Toby Chanco,

00:50Caloocan City 2nd District Rep. Mitch Kahayon-Uy, Quezon City 1st District Rep. Arjo Atayde, and Quezon City 5th District Rep. P.M. Vargas.

01:00Chanco, who is also the campaign manager of the Alliance for the New Philippines of the Administration,

01:06also told President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. about the candidates for the nomination.

01:12I think the basic line is the line for the candidates for the Alliance for the New Philippines of the Administration

01:22is to remain upright and ensure the love for the country.

01:27Those are the two criteria.

01:29Of course, for Senatoria Balls and our congressmen, it is the support for the legislative agenda.

01:36As for the other aspirants, they were forced to submit their proposed legislative amendments if they will be re-elected.

01:44We just signed in the IRR yesterday of the Eddie Garcia bill.

02:06I am supporting that we will amend the Family Code, especially when it comes to the legitimacy of the child.

02:22Here in Comelec NCR, 200 to 300 aspirants are expected to receive COCs within an 8-day filing schedule.

02:32This is historic in San Juan because for more than three decades,

02:37the filing of the COC for congressmen in the NCR was in the family building in Entramuros, Manila.

02:44We transferred our office here last year.

02:46So this is the first time that we will be holding our reception of the COCs for the congressmen in NCR here in San Juan for the first time.

02:54In Tacloban City, the COC for re-election was also held.

02:58House Speaker Martin Romualdez is the incumbent congressman of Leyte 1st District.

03:03According to Speaker Romualdez, his inspiration in running again is the continued support of our fellow countrymen.

03:11Former President and now Pampanga 2nd District Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo made it clear that she will not run for senator.

03:19Instead, she will run again as a member of the 2nd District of Pampanga.

03:25The COC filing will last until October 8.
