00:40La Rioja may be one of Spain's smallest autonomous communities, but there's plenty to do here,

00:45especially if you love wine.

00:47There are more than 500 wineries here, with the Tempranillo grape variety being by far

00:51the most popular.

01:25The 60-square-mile Orteza y Monte Perdido National Park is one of the best places to

01:29explore Spain's portion of the Pyrenees Mountains.

01:32It's part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to deep canyons, limestone peaks,

01:36and wildlife like brown bears, marmots, and golden eagles.

01:39Some of the best hiking paths are found here, including up the 11,000-foot Monte Perdido.
