00:00Hey, I'm Chloe, a Fars Associate Destinations Editor.
00:06There are so many reasons to love the Nordic region, from its jaw-dropping icy landscapes
00:10to, of course, the well-loved Northern Lights.
00:12Here are some of the most exciting places in the region to travel to next, which include
00:16a design-focused city and a place where sheep actually outnumber people.
00:20Let's get into it.
00:25Copenhagen's colorful houses and historic canals never get old, but there are plenty
00:30of new things to see, too, like the re-opened Design Museum of Denmark.
00:34It now features a permanent exhibition focused on Danish design from the 1920s to the 1970s,
00:40which is all about functionality and minimalism.
00:43Be sure to also check out cool neighborhoods like Refse Lund, which was an industrial area
00:47but is now a hub for cool eateries like the Ruffin Street Food Market.
00:51Norway's mountains, fjords, and waterfalls are just a few reasons why this is the country
00:55for outdoor adventure.
00:56So take a van and go cross-country from Oslo to beautiful places like the city of Bergen
01:01or Gudvangen Village.
01:04Get to these incredible places with extra comfort and status when you fly United.
01:10With the United Club Infinite Card, you can enjoy premium perks along your trip, including
01:15full United Club membership and two free checked bags.
01:19Terms apply.
01:20Plus, earn four times the miles on United purchases and a special offer of 80,000 bonus
01:26miles.
01:27You can learn more about these exceptional travel rewards in the link below in the description.
01:33Thanks to the upcoming Solar Maximum, the Northern Lights will be especially spectacular
01:36over the next year or so.
01:38Swedish Lapland in the Arctic part of Sweden is one of the best places to see a show.
01:43Memorable stays here include cabins on stilts and even a hotel built out of snow and ice.
01:48If you visit in early February, don't miss the chance to learn about indigenous Sami
01:52culture at the annual Jokkmokk Winter Market.
01:55Vero Islands launched its Close for Maintenance Open for Voluntourism program in 2019, where
02:00volunteers can participate in infrastructure projects in exchange for free room and board,
02:04and the chance to see some gorgeous parts of the archipelago.
02:07Even if you don't get into the program, the dramatic fjords and cliffs definitely
02:12make it worth the trip.
02:14In 2020, Iceland launched its Remote Work Visa, allowing non-EU residents to stay in
02:18the country for up to 180 days.
02:20Its capital, Reykjavik, is an ideal setup for digital nomads working U.S. hours.
02:25Take in a puff-in or whale-watching trip during the day, and you can still be back to your
02:29hotel or coffee shop in time for that important Zoom call.
02:32The 2024 World Happiness Report named Finland the happiest country in the world for the
02:37seventh year in a row.
02:38There are lots of ways to explore why people are just so happy there, from the access to
02:42nature to relaxing saunas, or maybe take a plunge in icy waters and embrace Sisu, the
02:47Finnish concept of grit to get through tough times.
02:50Well, thanks for watching!
