00:00Back to Friday night up there in Eugene, the Oregon Ducks, number six, 31 to 10 over the
00:06Spartans. Pretty impressive performance. And one of the Heisman contenders, Dylan Gabriel,
00:10put on an absolute show there. 257 passing yards, two touchdowns, but also a couple of mistakes,
00:16a couple of interceptions there as well, but never really let the Spartans into this one.
00:22Yeah, to me, the most impressive thing, and I'll package this part of the show,
00:28it's not just Oregon, it's Ohio State. I think both of these teams had the potential to be
00:33looking at a look ahead moment. You mentioned Oregon, Michigan State, that came in Eugene
00:38Friday night, and then Ohio State today against Iowa. Both of those teams took care of business
00:44before next week's big showdown in Eugene between Ohio State and Oregon, one of the games of the
00:49year for me, Oregon, Jordan James on the ground, very impressive for the Ducks. And then defensively,
00:56Jordan Burch on the edge, 6'6", 295 pounds, former blue chip five-star recruit, never really
01:04did it at South Carolina for Shane Beamer. Now at Oregon for Dan Lanning, he's starting to look like
01:11he could be a day one, day two type draft pick in 2025. Couple of sacks against Michigan State.
01:18Interesting seeing Dan Lanning against Jonathan Smith last year with Civil War, Oregon, Oregon
01:23State. Now it's Oregon, Michigan State, can't wait for that game next weekend. I'm a big Dylan
01:29Gabriel fan. I think there's still an opportunity when it comes to the Heisman for him. I've been
01:35a little spotty in spots, especially early in September, but you look at that team, you look
01:40at the talent, the precision that he throws with, almost an 80% completion percentage this year.
01:46I think if he could win some of these big games beginning next weekend, I think he's got a
01:50legitimate shot, not just to be in New York, but to actually win the Heisman.
