According to the Gazette Notification No.F.2(10)ADG/ R&R/78,dated 26th March,1979 issued from time to time for general information and guidance by the Federal Government in the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Minorities Affairs the correct Spellings of the names of the Holy Prophet of Islam صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم are MUHAMMAD and AHMAD. Spellings of the holy Prophet's name other than those shown above or in abbreviated form should never be used.
