00:00We continue to bring help to the province of Batanes after the super typhoon Hulyan left Batindig, Pinsala.

00:13Water is one of the most needed things in the province of Batanes after the typhoon Hulyan.

00:19That's why drinking water brought by the new batch of relief goods is a big help for them,

00:25along with the rice brought by the C-130 aircraft of the Philippine Air Force today.

00:30According to Batanes PDRMO Chief Liz Pama, this is what they are focusing on right now.

00:36The lack of electricity has been added to this, which is needed to make the water pumps lighter

00:41so that the water supply can be restored.

00:44The lack of water supply has a big effect.

00:47First of all, because it's a basic need.

00:50People need to drink water.

00:53Then second, we need water for the different services, like flushing the roads

01:01and clearing the houses affected by floods and flash floods.

01:09Because of this, generators and some water sources were installed in the province

01:14while electric cooperatives were installed in the area to restore the supply of electricity.

01:19Only 8 barangays out of the 27 barangays in the province have water.

01:24The help expected from the two US KC-130J Hercules aircraft

01:30that arrived in the country first to deliver humanitarian assistance and disaster relief supplies

01:35to those affected by the typhoon

01:42Defense Secretary Gilberto Chodoro Jr. thanked the US for the help

03:13the infrastructure and agriculture in the province will cost 813 million pesos.

03:24Also because of the typhoon,

03:26the commercial flight operation here in Batanes only returned this Friday

03:30because the air navigation equipment of Paliparan was affected.

03:33Now, thanks to this, the number of tourists coming here is increasing.
