00:00Welcome. In this video I'm going to show you some very important settings for
00:05your Galaxy S24 Ultra to improve your Wi-Fi performance, to get the most out
00:10of your camera, and even better, to connect and send files to any phone
00:15including iPhones. But anyways, that being said, as always let's begin with one of
00:21the most useful settings on the phone. If you go to the settings and go all the
00:26way down to device care, you will find an overall profile showing you your device
00:32health. Now, if you scroll down to performance profile, you will find two
00:37options. Standard, which is the one you have turned on by default, and light.
00:42There is a very big difference between the two. On standard, if you're doing
00:47something demanding with the phone, you will get as much performance as needed
00:51but at the expense of battery life, and most importantly, temperature. But if you
00:57turn on light, like I do, you will get almost as much performance but without
01:02sacrificing temperature or battery life. I highly recommend you turn it on. Now,
01:07you also have this other option called auto-optimization, which basically takes
01:12care of the device automatically in the background so you can ensure a longer
01:18lasting performance over time. Sometimes devices lose a little bit of
01:23performance over time due to bad treatment and this tries to prevent it.
01:27As you can see, you can auto restart the phone, which is part of the process,
01:31automatically when needed or scheduled so it doesn't bother you as much. But
01:36well, that being said, let's move on to something a little bit more impactful.
01:40Let's go back to the settings, go all the way down to advanced features, and then
01:46click on advanced intelligence. This is where you'll find all of your AI features
01:52on the S24 Ultra. Each one of these individual settings turns on an AI
01:57feature that's available for you for free with the S24 Ultra. So if we click
02:02on phone, as you can see, it greets us with a live translate page. If you turn
02:06it on, you'll have access to live translation. So if you're calling someone
02:11that speaks a foreign language, for example, German, but you don't speak
02:15German, you speak English, you can actually select your language, that
02:19person's language, and make an automatic translation of that phone call to your
02:24language so you can understand what the person is saying. Then if you click on
02:28Samsung keyboard, you actually have the same option but for text. If you click on
02:33chat translation and you turn it on, you'll have the same feature as live
02:38translate for phone calls but for chats. So if you're talking through text with a
02:42German person and you don't understand German, you can actually translate their
02:46messages in real time so you can have smoother and better communication with
02:50that person. We also have AI on the Samsung Notes. So if we turn it on, we'll
02:55have access to a lot of new functionality. In fact, let me show you.
02:58Let's go to the to the Notes app here. If you have any random note, you'll
03:03find a new icon, the AI icon. You'll see all over the system and if you click it,
03:08you'll get a new sub menu with everything AI related you can do to that
03:13note. So you can auto format it to any format of text you want. Maybe you want
03:17to make it more formal, more casual, depending on who's going to read it. You
03:21can summarize it in a very fast manner. As you can see, it gives you the most
03:25important bullet points of that text, of that note. You can correct the
03:30spelling on the text. So if you know you've made some mistakes, you can tap
03:34there and automatically correct it. And last but not least, you can translate it
03:39to any language you want. A little bit more interesting is the AI features on
03:43Samsung Internet. So if we click here and go to summarize and turn it on, you will
03:49be able to summarize entire websites on your Samsung browser. In fact, let me show
03:55you. Let's go to Samsung Internet. As you can see, I have a GTA 6 news article
04:00opened up. If we go to the little AI icon at the bottom, there's a new tab called
04:06summarize. And if we tap it, very fast by the way, we can get a summarization of
04:12the whole article, which is very convenient. Maybe not for when you're
04:15reading news for enjoyment like this, but if you're trying to read a 400, 4000,
04:2040,000 word document and you don't really have that much time, having the
04:25option to summarize it into a couple bullet points of important information
04:29can be really handy. And well, as a lot of you probably know, there's also a lot
04:34of AI on the photo editor. So if we tap here and enable generative edit, you will
04:40be able to edit any photo you have on your gallery. So let's select, for example,
04:45this photo of my dog. If we go to the edit button here on the bottom and we click on
04:50the blue AI icon you'll see all over the system in this video, you'll have access
04:55to a new editing tab on the phone, which may not seem like an editing tab because
05:00there's not a lot of options, but that's because it's all done automatically by
05:05the phone. So let's say you want to remove the tree on the back. You just have
05:09to tap on the tree, hold, and the phone is automatically going to understand, okay,
05:15there's the bottom of a tree. You wanted to select it and you can move it around,
05:19make it smaller, make it bigger, move it from different places. You can put it in
05:23the front of the image. You can actually even delete it. So if you tap on the
05:27delete button and generate a new image, in a couple of seconds you'll see a
05:32completely new image, very similar to the previous one, but without a tree on the
05:37back. Maybe it does a slightly better job, maybe it does a slightly worse job. In
05:41this case, I think it's done a very convincing job. If you show this image to
05:45someone that didn't knew there was a tree, they probably wouldn't know what's
05:49missing on the image. They probably can't really tell even zooming in. It's very
05:53convincing. The generative AI has created a convincing background
05:58replacement. So yeah, really good. Now probably one of the most popular AI
06:03features on the S24 Ultra is circle to search. So if you tap on the bottom and
06:08hold, you'll automatically be greeted with a new menu in which you can just
06:13basically circle anything you want and you'll be greeted with a new pop-up,
06:17Google pop-up, that shows you the most important information about the thing
06:21you've circled. So in this case, it's my dog, it's a Border Collie. So first off,
06:25it tells me this is a Border Collie, gives me important information about the
06:29breed, shows me some images, some important questions, some news articles,
06:34Wikipedia. It basically does a complex search of all Google and it brings it
06:39all to one page so you can comfortably choose what you want to see. The most
06:43important information on the internet, all in one page. Now something a lot of
06:47people don't know is that you can actually use circle to search to
06:51translate any text on your display. So if you tap and hold on the bottom and
06:55instead of circling the text, you tap on it, you can actually automatically select
07:02a text, hit translate, and you'll be greeted with a Google Translate menu
07:06with which you can very conveniently translate that text to any language. Now
07:11probably one of the most hidden AI features a lot of people don't know
07:15about is the AI drawing tool. So if we go to the edit button again, but we hit
07:21on this little icon on the bottom, the drawing icon, and we click on this button
07:25right here to select the pen, we can actually choose from four different
07:29types of pens. Previously, it was three different types of pens. The normal
07:33pencil, a slightly thinner pencil, and an ink pencil. But now we have a fourth
07:38option, the AI pencil. So if we select the AI pencil and we start drawing
07:44something, for example, let's draw an ice cream. I'm going to try to do my best to
07:49make it look and feel like an ice cream. Automatically, there we go, as you can see,
07:55the phone understands the first results are, I don't know what this is, but these
08:00two I'm pretty sure are ice creams. It understands I'm trying to draw some sort
08:05of ice cream and it basically gives me default drawings of an ice cream that
08:10are probably going to be a little bit better than my drawing. So I can
08:13basically select it and automatically have a much better drawing of an ice
08:17cream that I can make bigger, smaller, and paste it anywhere on the screen. Now, all
08:22of these AI features are very cool, but what about privacy? I know a lot of you
08:28are concerned with your data, your privacy, not giving your photos, videos,
08:32text messages to Google or Samsung so they can use them for whatever they want.
08:37Well, in that case, thankfully, there's this little icon, the process data only
08:43on device, with which, if you turn it on, you'll have access to on-device encrypted
08:48artificial intelligence exclusively, meaning you won't ever access the
08:53servers of Samsung or Google to enable any of these features, so you won't be
08:58giving your data to any of these companies. The features will be a little
09:03bit slower, but you'll also be properly protected. Oh, and by the way, before I
09:08forget, you have Amazon links for the best Galaxy S24 Ultra cases down below
09:15in the description, just in case, at the end of the video, you want to take a look.
09:19Now, that being said, let's move on to the connection settings. Let's go to
09:23connections, click on Wi-Fi, click on the three dots at the top right, and click on
09:30intelligent Wi-Fi. Here, if you scroll all the way to the bottom, you'll see your
09:34last tab is called intelligent Wi-Fi. You probably won't see the connectivity
09:40labs tab as I do on my S24 Ultra. Fortunately, getting access is pretty
09:45easy. You just have to tap, repeatedly tap on the intelligent Wi-Fi icon, there you
09:50go, until you see a pop-up banner. After that, you'll see there's a new tab, a new
09:55bottom tab called connectivity labs, which, if you click, will give you access
09:59to a whole new connections tab with a lot more settings. If you scroll down to
10:04home Wi-Fi inspection, this is a very cool feature, and you hit start, select
10:10your Wi-Fi router, and click on next, it will tell you if you're properly
10:14connected to the internet, or if maybe the connection is a little bit faulty. In
10:18my case, as you can see, it says excellent, your home Wi-Fi network is well
10:22configured, so I have no issues, but if it says otherwise, you may want to hit next.
10:27It basically gives you access to a very cool feature that allows you to scout
10:32for good Wi-Fi spots on your house, both to better locate your phone, or to better
10:37locate your router, so you can have an overall better connection. A little bit
10:42below, you have a Wi-Fi 7 mode, which I have turned off, although you probably
10:46have it turned on by default, because even though Wi-Fi 7 is very nice, it is
10:52the latest Wi-Fi standard available for any phone, and it's very fast, most people
10:57don't actually have Wi-Fi 7 routers in their houses. In fact, as you can see,
11:02based on my usage, I don't even have a Wi-Fi 6 capable router, it's a Wi-Fi 5,
11:08and a little bit of Wi-Fi 4. So, turning it off, I basically save a little bit of
11:12battery life, without necessarily affecting my usage, because I don't even
11:17have access to Wi-Fi 7. Now, if you come to customize Wi-Fi list settings, you'll
11:22have access to one of the most useful settings on this tab, which is to show
11:28the band information. You'll see this is automatically turned off, I heavily
11:32suggest you turn it on, because if you do, now on your Wi-Fi tab, you'll be able to
11:38see if you're connected to the 2.4 GHz band, or the 5 GHz band. As you
11:43can see, I just switched between the two, and this is very useful information. You
11:48see, the 5 GHz band is much faster, lower latency, and overall more reliable
11:54than the 2.4 GHz band. So, knowing the band you're connected to, can really give
12:00you some peace of mind, when you're about to do something important. Now, for the
12:04next tip, you actually have to download a small app. So, let's go to the Samsung
12:09store, which is the only store with this app, and type good luck on the search bar.
12:14You'll see the first result is this little pink app, called good luck, which
12:19is made by Samsung. It's free, there's no ads, so don't worry. And well, once you
12:23have it installed, and click on it, you probably won't see what you're seeing
12:27right here, because I already downloaded all the packages. You'll see slightly
12:31bigger bubbles, with the information about the individual package, and a
12:36download icon. My suggestion is you download all of them, because they're
12:40very, very light. They don't really take that much space. Think about it as
12:44optional modifications for your S24 Ultra. In fact, you have two tabs. You have a
12:49makeup tab, which is for more aesthetical changes, and then you have a life up tab,
12:54which is for more useful, or use-based settings. In this case, I cannot really
12:59show you all, because there's a lot of them, but I can show you my favorites. So,
13:03let's click first on Pentastic, which is basically a settings tab, or menu
13:08dedicated for the S Pen. As you can see, we can now select menus, different menus
13:14for the S Pen. If you take it off the phone, you'll see there's this
13:17little tab right here, that opens a secondary menu, but you don't really have
13:22this one by default. This is the default one. You'll see when you get
13:26the phone, which is a little bit boring. It occupies a lot of space. If you
13:30download Pentastic on GoodLook, you'll have more menu options. As you can see,
13:35there's a slightly smaller vertical one. There's the circular one that I'm using.
13:39There's a slightly more circular, but more professional one. This one right
13:44here is my personal favorite. It's the one that I like to use. Very handy, very
13:48small, very convenient. You can also select the cursor design. So, by default,
13:54you have a little circle. Very, very tiny. You can now also select an arrow, make it
13:59bigger, make it smaller. You can select a heart, a drawing. This one, in my opinion,
14:04is a little bit gimmicky, but, hey, you can use it. It's fun. It's casual. And, as
14:08you can see, very conveniently, it still has an arrow at the top, so you can still
14:14be precise with the S Pen, even with the crocodile drawing. You have a bunch of
14:19these fun cursors, and you also have a custom cursor. So, you can actually take a
14:24selfie, go to your gallery, select the selfie, make it bigger, and basically use
14:29your face as the S Pen cursor. Now, let's click on Wonderland, which basically
14:34gives you a little bit more customization for your wallpapers. If you
14:38click on Create Your Own Moving Wallpaper and select a background, like a
14:42landscape, for example, you can, of course, leave it as is, as you normally would,
14:46but you can also edit it with a lot of customization options. So, first, you can
14:51give it motion. So, if you give it X motion, Y motion, Z motion, it will give
14:57you this sort of parallax 2.5D effect, very similar to the one we saw back in
15:02the day with the iPhone. You can also add particle effects, particle presets, like
15:08rain. For example, you can add rain, make it slightly shorter, longer, faster,
15:13shorter. And, well, this one is for a very small pocket of people, but if you go to
15:17NavStar and you turn it on, you'll have access to a third navigation method. So,
15:23if you go to your Settings, you go to Display, and you go to the Navigation Bar
15:29menu, you would traditionally only have these two options, the buttons and the
15:34swipe gestures. But now, you have this little tab called More Options with a
15:39third alternative, which is swipe from the bottom with three individual bars. And
15:45it's basically like a mix between the two. So, traditionally, we would have the
15:49back button, the home button, and the multitasking button. In this case, we have
15:53the back gesture, the home gesture, and the multitasking gesture. So, if you swipe
15:58here, you'll go back. Swipe here, you'll go home. And if you swipe here, you'll
16:02access the multitasking. I personally find it a little bit confusing. I much rather
16:06use the normal swipe gestures. But for those of you who liked the old swipe
16:11mechanism, you can access it on the S24 Ultra. Now, let's stay on the display
16:16settings for a little bit longer because there's a lot of very
16:20interesting things to show. So, first off, as always, we have the light mode and
16:25dark mode. A lot of people think or say the dark mode saves a little bit more
16:29battery life. I'm here to say that it's not the case. The difference between
16:34using the light mode and the dark mode is almost imperceivable. We're maybe
16:38talking about 1% more battery life a couple minutes. So, if you like the
16:43lighter mode better, don't feel pressured into turning this on because you're
16:47going to save a lot of battery life. You will save a couple minutes, but I don't
16:51think it's worth it if you don't really like this darker tone. Another tip here
16:55is on the motion smoothness settings. A lot of people seem to believe that using
17:00the phone on the standard 60 Hertz settings is going to save a little bit
17:05more battery life, but it is not the case because the 120 Hertz mode is actually
17:11adaptive. It goes from 1 Hertz all the way up to 120 FPS. So, you can actually
17:17take advantage of smoother motion, but also saving more battery life when
17:22you're not touching the display because it goes all the way down to 1 Hertz. So,
17:26it ends up burning as much battery life as the standard 60 Hertz all the time
17:31option. I heavily suggest you leave it on adaptive. Now, speaking of adaptive,
17:36there's this new tab called adaptive color tone, which is basically going to
17:41shift the color temperature on your phone's display based on the lights and
17:46the color temperature of your environment. So, if I turn it off, as you
17:50can see, the phone feels and looks a lot colder and that's because that's the
17:55default color tone and temperature for the S24 Ultra. If I turn it on, as you can
18:00see, it goes a little warmer because my room right now is a little bit warmer.
18:05This is not life-changing and it's not going to save your vision like a lot of
18:09people say, but it is going to make the phone feel a little bit more comfortable
18:12to use, especially at night. Also, here on the screen resolution settings, you'll
18:17see that by default you have full HD plus, which is 2340 by 1080. I heavily
18:22suggest you try increasing it to quad HD plus, which is 3120 by 1440 and see if
18:28you notice the difference because this is going to burn a little bit more
18:32battery life. It is a little bit more demanding and consuming. So, if you don't
18:36really notice the difference, maybe you can stay at 2340 by 1080. If you do, then
18:41yes, I suggest you leave it at 1440. Now, this is probably my favorite setting on
18:47the display tab, the camera cutout settings. So, a lot of apps have this
18:51little annoying tab at the top, which is basically there to hide the camera
18:56cutout, but it looks a little bit inconsistent with the rest of the apps
19:00and the system. Actually, let me give you a small demo so you can see how it looks.
19:04Let me hide the camera cutout on Subway Surfers. Let's open the game up. As you
19:09can see, it has this little annoying black bar at the top, which is very
19:13inconsistent because it's not there on the normal menu system. It's not there on
19:18the rest of the apps on the phone. So, it looks kind of out of place and makes the
19:23phone feel cheaper. Now, this has a very easy solution. If we tap on the game and
19:28hit show camera cutout, this will automatically get fixed. We will have a
19:33full screen Subway Surfers showing the camera cutout and giving us a much more
19:38consistent experience with the rest of the system. Now, that being said, let's
19:43move on to the camera settings. The first thing I want to touch on is the
19:47resolution of the images because by default, as you can see, you'll have 12
19:51megapixels enabled, which gives you access to all of the cameras from the
19:550.6x all the way to the 10x. So, you can access all of the
19:59functionalities on the S24 Ultra, but if you click 50 megapixels, which is
20:05another resolution that's enabled on this phone, you'll only have access to the
20:09main camera and the 5x camera. And if you enable 200 megapixels, you'll only have
20:15access to the main camera. And I say this because I'm pretty sure some people will
20:19leave it at 50 or 200 by mistake, and we'll see that, oh, they all of a sudden
20:24don't have the other cameras. They don't have access to the ultrawide camera, to
20:28the 3x camera, and they won't know what happened, what to do. Well, that's because
20:32all those other cameras are only available with a 12 megapixel
20:36resolution. Now, for video, something I highly recommend is you switch up the
20:41resolution all the way up to Ultra HD or 4K at 30 FPS. I think by default, the
20:47phone gives you a Full HD option, which is fine. Doesn't really matter. It's
20:52Full HD video. It's okay. But 4K looks much better, much, much better on this
20:57phone, and it doesn't really occupy that much space. The phone has a lot of
21:02storage. The videos are properly compressed. So I think it won't be
21:05irresponsible to switch it up to 4K, and videos will look much, much better. Now,
21:10something that's a little bit annoying at first is that you have video, photo, and
21:15portrait mode options on the main menu. But for everything else, you have to hit
21:20on the More tab and select any of the other modes available for the phone, like
21:25Pro Photo, Pro Video, Night Mode, Hyperlapse. And a lot of these modes are
21:29useful. Sometimes people use some of these modes more than they use the main
21:34ones on the main menu. So something you can do, and a lot of people don't know, is
21:38you can actually hold on one of these things and move it to the main menu if
21:44you know you're gonna use it often. In my case, I don't really use the food mode
21:48very often, but I do use slow motion video. So I'm gonna put it right here. I do
21:53use dual recording, so I'm gonna put it right here. And I do use Pro Video, so I'm
21:58going to put it right here. Now, I basically have a custom main menu with
22:03all of my most used functionalities. Now, one of the coolest features on the
22:08camera, which a lot of people don't know exists, is dual recording. This basically
22:13lets you record the selfie camera and the rear camera at the same time. So you
22:18can basically react to what you're seeing in front of you in real time. But
22:23this is a settings video, so let's go to the camera settings on the top left so
22:27we can customize a little bit of the back end of the camera. First off, let's
22:31click on Intelligent Optimization. As you can see, there's three different options.
22:36Maximum, Medium, and Minimum. This one will give you the best quality photos, but
22:41also a lot of latency. So there's going to be a slightly higher than average
22:46time frame between the moment you take a photo and the moment you can take
22:49another photo. In this one, the minimum is going to give you the least amount of
22:53processing, so the photo is not going to look as good. But it's also going to have
22:58no latency, so you can take a lot of photos very fast. I personally believe
23:02maximum is okay because the latency is not that high, but if it bothers you, you
23:06can turn it down to medium or even minimum. Now, here in Advanced Picture
23:10Options, we have the option to turn on High Efficiency Pictures or High
23:15Pictures, which occupy a lot less space but have a little bit less quality
23:19because they are more compressed. If you think you don't really need that much
23:23quality and you want more quantity, so you want to take more photos, you can
23:27turn it on and probably have thirty to forty percent more space for photos on
23:31your phone. Now, something you probably should keep in mind is that those were
23:35photo settings. If we want to access the video settings, we have to tap on the
23:39video icon, then go back to the settings, and you'll basically have different
23:43options specially meant for video. As you can see, there's an Advanced Video option
23:48instead of an Advanced Photo option with more of like an equivalent. Instead
23:53of High Efficiency Photos, it's High Efficiency Videos, but it's more of the
23:56same story. If you select HEVC Video, it is going to look a little bit worse
24:01because it's a little bit more compressed, but it's also going to let
24:05you record more videos on the same space. Also, I highly recommend you turn the
24:10grid lines on, which are these four different lines separating the video
24:15or photo feed into nine different squares. Don't worry, it is not going to
24:20show in the end result, but it's going to help you frame your photos and videos
24:24better, so things look a little bit more properly composed and you can get better
24:28results out of your camera. And last, but definitely not least, if you click on
24:33Camera Assistant, there's two very important options you have to know about.
24:36First, there's the zoom shortcuts, so you can actually enable or disable different
24:42zoom ranges that are not the main zoom ranges from the cameras. In this case, we
24:46have 2x, 10x, and 100x. I don't recommend you turn them all on because the camera
24:52layout is going to be a little bit of a mess, but if you know you're going to use
24:55one of these relatively often, you could turn it on. And you also have the option
25:00for Auto HDR Pictures. If you like natural looking photos or you want to edit your
25:05photos, I recommend you turn this off because it's going to do a lot of
25:09artificial processing to the image to make it look good on paper, but it's also
25:14going to suck the fun out of your photography because it's going to make
25:18every photo look good, no matter how good you are as a photographer. So if you like
25:23photography, turn it off. Now something a lot of people don't know is that when you
25:28open the keyboard, as you can see there's a little tab at the top with some quick
25:32actions, you can actually change and remove those quick actions for the ones
25:37you want. So if you click on the three dots right here, you'll access the main
25:41menu for those options. You can take one away. You can put another different one
25:46here. You can basically customize it as much as you want. Moving on, and this one
25:50is a little bit more advanced. If we go to the settings, we go down to Modes and
25:55Routines. We select Routines and we click on the plus icon to create a new routine.
26:01We can actually create automated actions that the phone will trigger when you do
26:06something else. There's Ifs, which is things you do, and then there's Thens,
26:10which is things the phone does in reaction to your Ifs. So let's add a new
26:15If. For example, let's say I want to open an app. I can select any app I want on
26:21the phone. For example, the calculator. There we go. Done. So if I open the
26:27calculator app, then the phone will do basically whatever I want. As you can see,
26:32there's a lot of options of things the phone can do if I open the calculator
26:37app. Let's say I want to disable the Wi-Fi. There we go. If I open the
26:42calculator, let's save it. Let's call it Calculator. Let's give it a yellow color.
26:48Hit Done, and now we have a new operational routine. So let me actually
26:53demonstrate it. As you can see, the Wi-Fi is on. You can see it right here. If I
26:57open the calculator app, there it is. The Wi-Fi will automatically turn off. But if
27:03I leave the calculator app and we wait for a little couple seconds, the Wi-Fi,
27:09there it is. The Wi-Fi will turn back on. And the cool thing about this is that
27:14there's really no limit to how many routines you can have enabled at the same
27:18time and how complex the routines can be. So we can actually go back to the
27:22calculator routine. We can hit on Edit, and we can add as many ifs as we want or
27:27as many thens as we want. For example, I can add another app. So if I go to App
27:32Opened and I select the calendar, for example, there we go. Now I have an
27:37updated routine with two different apps that will trigger for the Wi-Fi to turn
27:42off. As you can see, the Wi-Fi is on. If I go to the calendar, the Wi-Fi will
27:47automatically turn off, just like it did with a calculator. And if I leave the
27:52app, eventually the Wi-Fi will, there it is, the Wi-Fi will turn back on. But
27:58anyways, now that I've taken the S Pen out of the phone, let's go take a look at
28:03the S Pen settings on the S24 Ultra. So let's click on Advanced Features. Let's
28:09click on S Pen. Here is where we will find all of the settings regarding the
28:14S Pen. So first off, you'll see there's an Air Icons menu. I suggest you turn it on.
28:19There's a lot of Air Actions you can use with your phone, both in the system and
28:23in specific apps. As you can see in this menu, we can see how many apps are
28:28supported by the S Pen and what kinds of things we can do inside of each one of
28:32those apps. For example, say I want to screen write something on the display.
28:36Well, I just have to make this movement that I get displayed on the phone and I
28:42automatically get greeted with the drawing display that I would have
28:45normally accessed with the pop-up menu. But I feel like most of the cool
28:49features we can use on the S Pen are actually on the camera. So if we hold the
28:54button right here on the S Pen, we basically go straight to the camera. We
28:59can switch modes just like this. If we double tap it, we can go to the selfie
29:03camera all the way back to the rear camera. And this is probably the most
29:08simple, but also probably the most effective feature, is that if we tap the
29:12button right here, the phone will take a photo. As you can see, it's a night photo
29:16because it's facing the desk, but it would normally be a normal photo with
29:20any camera you've selected. We also have this little menu called when S Pen is
29:25removed, which will give you three options. Number one, to open an air
29:29command out of all the ones we saw previously. The other one is to create a
29:33note automatically. And the third, which is the one that I have enabled, is to do
29:37nothing. Then if we click at the bottom on more S Pen settings, there's two
29:41things you should probably enable. First off, keep S Pen connected. This basically
29:46enforces the connection between the phone and the S Pen. Sometimes if you
29:51have this setting turned off, they can disconnect if the S Pen gets too far. So
29:55I suggest you turn it on. And then this one, when S Pen is left behind, is
30:01probably one of the coolest and most useful features on the phone. And it's
30:06for some reason turned off by default. If you turn it on, the phone will notify you
30:10if you lose the S Pen. So imagine you're in a restaurant, you've been drawing
30:14something on the phone, and you accidentally leave the S Pen on the desk.
30:19The phone will send you a notification, a pop-up menu, and make a sound telling you
30:24you've left the S Pen behind, so you can go take it back. I'm pretty sure this
30:28will save a lot of you from losing the S Pen eventually. Now for the next couple
30:33settings, we actually need to enable another secret menu. So if I scroll all
30:38the way to the bottom of the settings, as you can see there's an option called
30:41Developer Options. You probably won't have that enabled on your phone. For that,
30:46you will have to go to About Phone, click on Software Information, and then tap on
30:51Build Number 8 times. So 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. As you can see, it says Developer
30:59Mode has already been enabled or turned on. In my case, it says that because it
31:03had already been enabled. But for you, it'll say something different. The point
31:07is, you'll now have the developer options on your S24 Ultra. So if we click, this
31:13will give us access to a whole new set of settings, more meant for developers,
31:18hence the name Developer Options. But also, some of the settings can enhance
31:22your user experience as a normal person, not a developer. If you scroll down until
31:28you see Window Animated Scale, Transition Animated Scale, and Animator Duration
31:33Scale, you can actually change the speed of motion of the animations in the
31:38system. In all of these three options, by default, you'll see it's at 1x, which is
31:43already fast, don't get me wrong, but you can make it even faster. You can set it
31:47at 0.5x. Now, this is not turned on by default because on slower phones, less
31:54quality phones made by Samsung, it can actually make things look a little bit
31:58laggy because the phone hasn't had time to load things up before the animation
32:03ends. But on the S24 Ultra, since it's so fast and so powerful, you probably won't
32:08have any issues making the animations a little bit faster. For reference, you can
32:12compare it to your phone right now. This is how it feels to have the animation
32:16set at 0.5x. Everything feels a little bit faster, a little bit smoother, a
32:20little bit more instant than it does when having it at 1x. So yeah, on the S24
32:26Ultra, I do recommend you turn this on, but be careful because on lower-end
32:30phones, it can make things look a little bit laggy. Now, let's move on to the
32:34notification settings. So, let's go all the way down to accessibility. Here, you
32:39want to click on advanced settings, and then you want to tap on flash
32:43notifications. Let's click, and as you can see, there's two options. There's camera
32:47flash notifications and screen flash notifications. Both very descriptive, by
32:52the way. So, let's turn both on so you can see how they look. The camera flash
32:57notification is basically the flash on the phone beeping, so you can see there's
33:01a new notification on the phone. The screen flash notification is basically
33:05the same thing, but on the display. I feel like the screen flash notification is a
33:10little bit gimmicky because it's as effective as a normal on-screen
33:14notification, but the flash notification can be very handy if you don't have the
33:19phone on you. Say it's laid down on a desk and you're not really looking at
33:23the display. With that option turned on, you would know you have a new
33:27notification because the flash would start beeping. Maybe it's not convenient
33:31to have it enabled in all apps, but since this is a very customizable phone, we can
33:36actually click here and select which apps have the flash camera notification
33:42turned on. So, let's not select all apps, of course. Imagine you just want to do it
33:47for, it's a stupid example, but the calculator calls and Call of Duty. Those
33:52are the three apps you really want to pay attention to, so you need to know,
33:57even if the phone is in an inconvenient position, you want to know if you're
34:01getting a new notification. Now, this next one is very simple, but I wanted to get
34:05it out of the way. If you bring up the notifications tab, swipe down again so
34:10you can see the quick access menus, and tap on the flashlight, but instead of
34:14tapping you hold, you can actually select the brightness of the flash. So, if we
34:19turn it on, you can go from very, very bright to very, very dim, which is very
34:24convenient because I feel like most of the time you use it to go to the
34:28bathroom at 3 a.m., and at that time you don't really want a very strong light. So,
34:32you can set it to minimum and have a slightly less intrusive experience at
34:373 a.m. But anyway, so let's go back to the main page on the settings because
34:41there's something very useful a lot of people don't know about, and it's that if
34:46we scroll all the way down to advanced settings, and we click on side button, we
34:51can actually toggle a quick action for two taps and three taps on the side
34:56button. So, for two taps, for example, we can quick launch the camera, we can open
35:00Samsung Wallet, or we can open any app we want. In this case, it's kind of weird
35:05because it gives you access to pretty much every app you have on your phone,
35:08and then the flashlight. I'm not really sure why they don't give you access to
35:13every other quick toggle you have on the main menu. That would be very handy, but
35:17no, it's just apps and the flashlight, which is the one actually that I have
35:21turned on. So, if I double press the on and off switch, there we go, it turns on
35:26and off the flashlight. And then for three taps, you can wake up Bixby or
35:30bring up the power off menu. Going back to the home page on the settings, if we
35:35scroll down to home screen, we then scroll all the way down and tap rotate
35:40to landscape mode. We will have access to a landscape mode on the S24 Ultra, which
35:46is very convenient for when you're using the phone on landscape mode because
35:51you're watching a movie or playing a game and you don't want to do the
35:54inconvenient, you know, switching it back to vertical for one specific thing and
35:58then switching it back to landscape. You can always remain on landscape mode. You
36:02can do pretty much anything you want on the phone on landscape if you have this
36:06mode enabled. But anyways, that being said, the moment a lot of you have been
36:11waiting for. I'm going to show you how to send photos and videos without losing
36:15any quality to your Android phone, whether it is Samsung or other brands,
36:20and most importantly to your iPhone. Yes, this was not an option before and it's
36:26very convenient. It is basically like AirDrop, but for every phone available in
36:30existence. So, if you go to your gallery and select any photo, for consistency
36:35let's make it be the original doc photo from before, you can actually share it in
36:40a very fast and very convenient way with your other Samsung products, like a
36:45Samsung Galaxy S24. So, if you tap on the share icon, the phone is automatically
36:50going to appear in the quick share menu, but you can tap quick share, the S24 is
36:55going to appear automatically. In a very fast convenient way, it is going to show
37:00up on the S24. This is basically like AirDrop for the iPhone. Now,
37:05unfortunately, this option is not available on other Android phones, and of
37:10course, it is also not available on the iPhone. Well, it was not available before,
37:14now it is. So, if we click on the share icon again, and we go to quick share, we
37:21can actually create a QR code or link. There we go. So, it's going to show up on
37:27the screen, it's like a QR, little QR code made for Samsung, but readable by
37:31every phone. So, you can basically make it show up on the camera of your iPhone, you
37:36click, and it's going to send you to a private link with which you can download
37:40the image you had on the S24 Ultra. As you can see, it previews the image, you
37:46can click download, it is 65.5 megabytes, and if we go to the original photo on
37:52the S24 Ultra, it also says it is 65.5 megabytes. So, it's the original photo
37:58without any compression, without any quality loss. Once it's downloaded, we can
38:02actually send it over to the photos. So, save image, there we go, and if we come to
38:07the photo gallery on the iPhone, we will find the original image with no quality
38:13loss. It takes the same space, it is as sharp, as good-looking as the original
38:17one on the S24 Ultra. This is very, I'm not sure what it did with the
38:22brightness, this is very impressive. If you have any questions about the tips
38:26that I showed today, you can ask me in the comments. I'll be glad to answer all
38:30your questions. I hope you enjoyed this video. If you want a part 2 with more
38:34tips, please let me know by liking and subscribing, and of course, as always, I
38:39will see you in the next one.
