00:00Because it's the first day, CDC Day, we will bring to you the programs and projects of the Clark Development Corporation
00:06for the continued development of the Clark Freeport Zone towards a new Philippines.
00:12The CDC did various activities to strengthen the aviation industry,
00:16including the extensive skills training for aviation students.
00:22Meanwhile, the CDC is also supportive of one of the leaders in aviation education in Clark,
00:28who provides world-class training to its students.
00:32Here is the special report.
00:46The Clark Development Corporation continues to address the needs of the aviation industry,
00:52particularly in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul sector in Clark,
00:57especially in the hiring of skilled workers.
01:00Under the leadership of CDC President and CEO Attorney Agnes V. Esti-Devanadera,
01:05various activities were held, such as focus group discussions and sectoral meetings.
01:10This includes activities from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines or CAAP,
01:15Technical Education and Skills Development Authority or TESDA,
01:19Commission on Higher Education or CHED,
01:21and aviation schools such as Acatech Aviation College and Philippine State College of Aeronautics.
01:27Other locators from the aviation industry also came to participate in the discussions.
01:33The purpose of these activities is to make the workers in the MRO industry competitive.
01:39In addition, the curriculum is also intended for students in the aviation industry
01:46to give them sufficient skills to meet the needs of the industry.
01:52According to the forecast of Oliver Wyman's Global Fleet and MRO Market,
01:56the commercial aviation fleet is expected to reach 33% by 2033,
02:02which will be the benchmark for the continued increase in demand for MRO services.
02:08This is in line with the FGD, which has a large share in the skills taught in schools
02:15compared to the actual needs of companies in the MRO industry,
02:20including the companies inside the Clark Freeport Zone.
02:25It is also known that only a few pass the qualifying exams.
02:30Based on the data, only two out of the estimated 80 to 90 candidates,
02:36so the strengthening of the curriculum is encouraged to better meet the needs of companies.
02:44As a result of the activities conducted, a technical working group, TWG,
02:49was formed as part of the bodies from the government, the academy, and the aviation industry.
02:55TWG aims to build a more comprehensive and effective curriculum
03:00for aviation schools that meet the needs of the industry.
03:05The so-called TWG was established on October 15.
03:10TWG is formed by CDC, CAAP, CHED, and TESDA.
03:15Representatives of authorized training organizations are invited again,
03:20such as Patz College of Aeronautics,
03:22Hoxhon College, Inc., and Philippine State College of Aeronautics,
03:26as well as other Clark companies related to the MRO industry.
03:32The whole-of-government approach is expected,
03:34in line with the directive of President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos, Jr.,
03:38to strengthen the empowerment of more skilled workers in the aviation industry.
03:45The COP is already doing a great job in the field of aviation.
03:53Aside from being a center of business and tourism,
03:56the Clark Freeport Zone is also known for having its own airport,
04:01the Clark International Airport.
04:03Because of this, it becomes one of the primary destinations
04:07for those who want to study aviation from different parts of the world.
04:12In the faster process of obtaining a student visa,
04:16opportunities in Clark are now wider
04:19for international students who dream of becoming pilots.
04:24One of the pioneers in the field of aviation education in Clark
04:28is CAE Philippines,
04:29an institution that provides world-class training
04:33for the next generation of aviation professionals.
04:37According to Kevin Fu, the general manager of CAE Philippines,
04:41faster visa processing is a big help
04:44in increasing the number of international students
04:47who want to study aviation in the Philippines.

05:47With the support and cooperation of the Club Development Cooperation,
05:51we've been working very closely towards streamlining the process
05:55towards special student permits from 14 days to 2 working days.
06:01This has helped tremendously in terms of helping us
06:05bring in more foreign nationals into the Philippines.
06:08In their more than a few decades of operations,
06:11CAE continues to lead in providing high-quality training
06:15for pilots.
06:17Their programs are in accordance with the International Civil Aviation Organization,
06:22or ICAO,
06:23and are also approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, or CAAP.
06:28This is why they are sure to be included in local and international regulations.
06:33In CAE, the students go below realistic training
06:38using advanced flight simulators.
06:41Through this, they experience various challenging scenarios
06:46like crosswind landings and emergency procedures
06:49in a safe and controlled environment.
06:53CAE guarantees airline-ready first officers,
06:57pilots who have undergone extensive training
07:01through the most advanced training solutions that we have.
07:06These are like the immersive flight simulation,
07:10interactive training modules,
07:12and the best guidance and instruction coming from
07:16our well-known pilots, simulator flight instructors.
07:35My experience at CAE has been exceptional.
07:39CAE gives me the opportunity to show what I've got.
07:42The instructors were able to enhance my skills with the training I had with them.
07:47The use of CAE's modern technology training devices
07:51has made the experience engaging and effective.
07:55And because of that, I was able to balance my studies and personal life.
08:00My training experience with CAE was great.
08:04It's not always rainbows and butterflies.
08:06There will be challenges along the way,
08:09but it helps you build your confidence.
08:12And the instructors will guide you as you progress as an aviator.
08:17There are a lot of things to like about CAE.
08:20The great facility, the hospitable staff,
08:24and the seasoned instructors that will help you progress along the way.
08:29For those who have achieved their dream of becoming a pilot,
08:33you can now join CAE Philippines in the Clark Freeport Zone.
