00:04morning Debra. Now Girls Girls Girls is happening again which is just terrific
00:11and it's it's going to be whereabouts as it can be? Well we're doing next Tuesday
00:17on the 19th we're doing Kids Undercover at the Palladium for the Crown and it's
00:23a charity if people aren't familiar with it but Ken Morgan is one of the the
00:28biggest movers of Kids Undercover and he does great work and what happens is
00:31that they they raise money and they build homes for kids who need to have
00:37somewhere to live with a family and they're all twin all the homes are
00:41supervised 24 hours and they house from I think two people to up to eight kids
00:47and yeah and it's fantastic I think they've built 100 homes. I think Ken
00:51started the whole thing didn't he? Yeah he did. And I should mention the people he's
00:54totally obsessed oh yeah it's wonderful but he's always been like that with
00:57charity anyone who used to watch the Don Lane show or Hey Hey at Saturday
01:02when a car was given away it was Ken Morgan who came in to give it he's still
01:05in the car business and he's one of those guys in the car business you can
01:08really trust he's a drop bought a couple of cars from him but he always has done
01:12a lot of charity work which is which is a good man. I thought I was going to say
01:16something about the cars did you? No we bought a car off him last week. Oh did you?
01:20He said his car died at Dimboola and I had to go and get him so the next day we bought a
01:25brand new Kia from Ken. There you go and his car died did it? It was such a big week.
01:30Were you in the car at the time? No I was coming back from Sydney and then I got home and I
01:34was just about to sit down and have a rest and I got a call from Dimboola
01:38going oh darling they say the car is scrap I thought you didn't have to go to
01:42Dimboola to tell me that. Just do his accent again it's wonderful. What did he say on the phone?
01:48Oh darling. Can he cook? There might be a vacancy on Friday's of Gabrielle you know. He's a very good chef.
01:56Is he? And you're still madly in love and all that? Yeah absolutely. And what about
02:01Lucille? Just have a look at this beautiful little girl. How old is she now?
02:05She's 28 months. Yeah and that's said in the background isn't it? I hope so.

02:25fascination for them and and I used to go like that to see if I could see. I was
02:32very young. Yeah yeah yeah I don't think I went quite that far but what's happened to the
02:37Australian Post with all the big, I mean it doesn't happen anymore does it?
02:41No I guess not. You will? I'm very well. Oh you're also doing New Year's Eve aren't you?
02:45We're doing New Year's Eve at Girls Girls Girls performing the entire show
02:50at Eden on the Park New Year's Eve. So Girls Girls Girls, what's the
02:54combination now? Same. Wendy Stapleton, Nicky Nichols and myself.
02:58Oh wonderful. And we actually haven't stopped. We've been doing gigs. I mean
03:02every time I see you we have not stopped. But you sell out of capers don't you
03:06for the whole season whenever you go there? Yeah we do, it's fantastic. I think Paul would love you to do 12 months.
03:09Yeah he would actually, he's mentioned. So when do you go there again? I'm not sure, we're
03:14booked out until June next year. Is that a fact? And it was your concept wasn't it?
03:19Yes, my show. Just three girls getting together and doing their own individual
03:23things but also then getting into the trio. Well it's you know it's wigged. I
03:26mean see I go crazy for wigs now. I love a wig. This is a wig you know. Is it really?
03:30So is this. What do you think of that one? Yeah well it's fun you don't have to spend all that time in the
03:37bathroom just put a wig on. So what's underneath? Nothing at all? Oh it's pretty
03:41scary. Is it really? Yeah. Can I have a look? Oh God. Who wrote that there? That's rude isn't it? I don't know who said that. It's in French, I don't know what it means.
03:51So this is the sort of stuff that you want to do. I mean you're happy just to.
03:56What about The Secret Life of Us? You've gone back into the acting thing mother.
03:59No, that was a great role mother. It was a good role because I played such a cow.
04:06You play a publicist don't you? I play a publicist and I don't. Oh look now see.
04:12Look at that. Wouldn't you trust her? Did you base her on anyone in particular?
04:17Lots. Did you? All publicists? Yeah most publicists that I've worked with over the years I based her on all of them but she I mean she had to be
04:25pretty nasty anyway so I didn't really base that on anybody in particular but
04:29just that I guess that you know that how they have to be so yeah one-eyed about
04:34things and they have to really convince you to do something. They know already
04:38before they ask you she's not gonna like this. Do you always when you go into a
04:44character do you always base it on somebody? No not really I mean with of
04:51course you know when you play roles like Fontaine and Norma I mean they're there
04:54the characters are there for you they're written and you you really have to
04:59represent what the the writer has created you know so not really based
05:05that on anybody in particular but based it on you know Victor Hugo said that
05:09this is what Fontaine's life was and and what she was like and so you you base
05:14your characterization on that. You've seen me do The Wizard haven't you?
05:17No I didn't I didn't get to see it. I based it basically on Old King Cole and Big Kev
05:23and I think I found a nice little band. Why? You've got to come. Are you in Brisbane at all in the next
05:31forum? Are you doing any gigs up there? No. I will do it again we can we can share
05:36memories of our shows together and you might notice I haven't. You did the
05:38Regent didn't you? Yeah Regent yeah it's a wonderful crew there. Fantastic crew.
05:43They are they're really good. A little tight backstage. A little bit fast backstage. I know how they've
05:47Oliver is in there now and they've got more scenery and that than you'd find in
05:51a tourist guide but they do a beautiful things are going up and things are going down.
05:54You know the car that that Norma and Hugh sat in for like a matter of 20
06:00seconds this entire car for 20 seconds that came out of the roof yeah that
06:05actually came down from the roof I mean they had things strung all over the
06:09place when we did Sunset there. But I've still got great memories but I have I
06:13don't I'm not going to play at the stuff or anything because I know I always say I
06:16will but I'm not going to on this particular morning because you've got
06:18other things. Are there phone numbers or stuff? Well Eden on the Park they just
06:22call Eden on the Park. I'm actually I they've got all sorts of packages you
06:26know overnight stays for the night and I'm staying overnight I'm gonna have a
06:30nice sleep in and break in bed do all that. It's gonna be there and what about
06:37what about the beautiful one? Lulu yeah Lulu and you know Lauren's 21 next month.
06:42Is she really? She's gonna have the big 21 birthday. My daughter Lauren is 24
06:47next next March. So all my girls are gonna be there on the night.
06:51Oh terrific. I mean obviously Lulu's a bit young for it.
