00:11Led by the League of Transportation and Operators in the Philippines,

00:16Foundation Incorporated, or LTOP,

00:18is the launch of the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program

00:22that will change the face of public transportation in the country.

00:27as well as improving the condition of drivers and operators.

00:31In one of the initiatives,

00:33the group stated that

00:36improving the quality of public transportation services is important.

00:41Through modernization,

00:43it is expected that pollution in the air will be reduced

00:46and passengers' travel will be safer and more comfortable.

00:51Even so,

00:52the Land Transportation Office, or LTO,

00:56was able to catch the color room vehicles

01:00to ensure that the vehicles on the roads are licensed and safe.

01:05What we want to do now,

01:07is to double-time our color room operations.

01:10Because as of now,

01:11we can't impound because as you can see, it's already full.

01:15So what we will do is, we will start impounding again.

01:18Any vehicle, we will impound it.

01:20Because we already have a strong impounding area inside.

01:24The LTO, along with other transport groups such as Pasang Mazda and ACTO,

01:29are continuously working with the government

01:32to implement the so-called Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program.

01:39The group hopes that the implementation of this program will be a success

01:43that will provide safer, more comfortable,

01:46and more environment-friendly travel for every Filipino.
