00:00House Speaker Martin Romualdus highlighted the country's progress in the fields of science, technology and innovation under President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr.'s leadership.
00:10During his attendance at the 149th Inter-Parliamentary Union or IPU Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland,
00:17the House leader emphasized the administration is focused on further strengthening the country's systems and policies.
00:24Speaker Romualdus led the Philippine delegation along with other lawmakers and government officials.
00:29An example of the policies laid out is the government's creation of the National Innovation Council
00:35and the National Innovation Agenda and Strategy Document.
00:39Senator J.V. Ejercito also attended the event.
00:42In a separate activity, he advocated for peace and security in the West Philippine Sea.
00:48The lawmakers stressed the country doesn't want war or conflict.
00:51That's why he is hoping for the peaceful resolution of the issue.
