01:14et cliquez sur Help Me Car Expert
02:28qui a l'air vraiment agréable.
02:29On peut sentir la proximité.
02:31Il y a aussi plus de freins rouges
02:32sur le côté.
02:34Revenons à l'arrière avec moi.
02:36Pour donner un peu de contexte
02:37en termes de taille,
02:38c'est 4,4 mètres long
02:40et un peu moins de 1 900 mm de large.
02:42C'est donc une voiture de bonne taille
02:44mais qui n'est pas énorme,
02:46ce qui est bien
02:47parce que personne n'a besoin
02:48d'une voiture énorme
02:49si on se déroule autour de la ville.
02:51Cherry juste là,
02:52il y a un badge GT là-bas
02:54et des lumières de conduite
02:56Amoda 5 LED.
02:58En fait, ça me surprend aujourd'hui
02:59que même sur cette voiture ici
03:01avec le tout en LED,
03:03certaines manufactureurs
03:05font encore des lumières halogènes.
03:07Je ne comprends pas.
03:09Mais de toute façon,
03:10Shark fin à l'arrière
03:12et plus de highlights rouges ici aussi.
03:14Dites-moi ce que vous pensez
03:15de l'Amoda 5.
03:16Est-ce que vous avez testé
03:17une de ces voitures ?
03:18Que pensez-vous ?
03:19Est-ce que vous l'avez acheté ?
03:20Qu'est-ce que c'était comme
03:21? Dites-moi en commentaire ci-dessous.
03:23Donc on est à l'intérieur du cabinet.
03:25C'est ce que la clé ressemble à.
03:26Vous avez Unlock,
03:27Boot,
03:28Lock,
03:29Remote Start,
03:31Cherry logo en arrière aussi.
03:33Clé de sens de proximité
03:34avec un bouton d'accélérateur.
03:35Maintenant,
03:36nous avons fait
03:37une revue détaillée de ceci.
03:38Donc si vous voulez regarder ça
03:39où je vais dans de nombreuses détails
03:40et passer par tout,
03:41regardez le lien
03:42dans la description ci-dessous.
03:43Tout ceci va être
03:45plus d'un regard de haut niveau
03:46et puis on va faire un tour
03:47et on verra
03:48quelle différence
03:49ce moteur fait.
03:50A l'intérieur du cabinet,
03:52dans la dernière revue
03:53que j'ai faite de ceci,
03:54j'ai dit
03:55oh regarde,
03:56le matériel qu'ils ont utilisé
03:57ici au milieu,
03:58je ne l'ai pas vraiment aimé
03:59mais au moins,
04:00ce n'était pas piano noir.
04:01Et bien,
04:02pour quelque raison,
04:03le GT devient piano noir
04:04et je ne sais pas,
04:05je l'ai déjà dit
04:06une millier de fois
04:07et vous avez probablement
04:08eu faim de l'entendre,
04:09mais le piano noir
04:10s'écrase si facilement,
04:11il marque facilement,
04:12c'est vraiment difficile
04:13de le garder propre.
04:14Je préfère probablement
04:15l'autre chose
04:16qui n'a pas l'air très bien
04:17comparé à ça,
04:18mais de toute façon,
04:19ce n'est pas un pad
04:20chargé par téléphone,
04:21mais maintenant,
04:22le pad chargé par téléphone
04:23a un petit appareil de réchauffement
04:24ici.
04:25Donc,
04:26basiquement,
04:27il empêche un peu
04:28de l'air
04:29pour garder le téléphone
04:30réchauffé,
04:31parce que vous trouverez
04:32sur ces téléphones
04:33chargés par téléphone
04:34de plus hauts puissance
04:35que quand vous mettez
04:36votre téléphone là-dessus,
04:37ça a chargé
04:38pendant un moment,
04:39votre téléphone devient
04:40tellement chaud,
04:41alors que ceci
04:42va faire
04:43un peu d'air
04:44réchauffé
04:45pour s'assurer
04:46que votre téléphone
04:47ne s'écrase pas,
04:48c'est ce que ça ressemble
04:49ici,
04:50mais la technologie
04:51de reconnaissance de voix
04:52ici est fantastique.
04:53Open the sunroof.
04:59Close the sunroof.
05:05C'est vraiment cool.
05:06I love that.
05:07So,
05:08good to see
05:09they're actually
05:10putting a bit of
05:11effort into that.
05:12What we're also
05:13going to be testing today
05:14is this thing here.
05:15It is the driver
05:16monitoring system.
05:17We're going to be testing
05:18some of the lane support
05:19systems as well
05:20because that stuff
05:21in the last car
05:22wasn't amazing
05:23and they apparently
05:24have updated the software
05:25so we'll see today
05:26whether that actually
05:27makes any difference.
05:28Outside of that,
05:29you've got stacks of
05:30storage and charging
05:31as well,
05:32so USB A and C
05:33down there
05:34with the 12-volt outlet.
05:35You've got USB A
05:36charging up the top here
05:37and then you've got
05:38electric seat adjustment
05:39for both the driver
05:40and front passenger,
05:41seat heating as well.
05:42It is sort of
05:43really fully loaded.
05:44They even have
05:45an air conditioning vent
05:46in the centre console
05:47as well,
05:48so they have sort of
05:49everything in these
05:50cool-looking sports
05:51wraparound seats
05:52as well.
05:53In the second row,
05:54it is pretty roomy
05:55back there.
05:56Knee room's OK.
05:57It was toe room
05:58that was slightly cramped
05:59on the last car
06:00that we drove.
06:01Head room wasn't
06:02too bad as well.
06:03Remember,
06:04this isn't a giant SUV
06:05but it's also not
06:06a tiny one either
06:07and that's reflected
06:08on how much space
06:09you have in the back there.
06:10You'd also get creature
06:11comforts like USB
06:12charging and air vents
06:13as well to keep you
06:14nice and cool
06:15and then finally,
06:16you also have
06:17Apple CarPlay
06:18and Android Auto
06:19on that centre display
06:20as well.
06:21But let's hit the road,
06:22see what this is like,
06:23see if it's any good.
06:27OK, so we've just
06:28hit the road
06:29in the Emoto 5 GT.
06:31So it's worth pointing out
06:32if you have watched
06:33our other review
06:34of the Emoto 5,
06:35this uses
06:36a different engine.
06:37So instead of a 1.5,
06:38this is a 1.6 litre
06:40turbocharged
06:41four-cylinder petrol
06:42and that means
06:43it actually produces
06:44a decent slab
06:45of power and torque
06:46above and beyond
06:47what the entry-level
06:48front-wheel drive does.
06:49So we're talking about
06:50137 kW of power
06:52and 275 Nm of torque.
06:54So it's not a
06:56groundbreaking amount
06:57but given the car
06:58only weighs around
06:591,500 kilos,
07:00it actually means
07:01it's pretty sprightly
07:02behind the wheels.
07:03So if you do
07:04sink the boot in,
07:05it gives you a really nice
07:06push into the back there
07:07and gets everything
07:08moving nice and quickly
07:09and that's all mated
07:10to a dual-clutch
07:11transmission.
07:12So it's a seven-speed.
07:13Let's see what that feels like
07:14at low speeds here.
07:16I really don't like
07:17dual-clutch transmissions,
07:18especially in these
07:19cheaper cars
07:20because they don't tend
07:21to be as robust
07:22or interesting
07:23as what you'll find
07:25in performance cars
07:26which is understandable
07:27obviously for the price
07:28but this one actually
07:29isn't too bad.
07:30So let's try that again.
07:32Yeah, look,
07:33it does slip a little bit there
07:34but it's actually
07:35not the end of the world.
07:36Where you're going to
07:37notice it most is
07:38when you're trying
07:39to reverse up a hill
07:40or trying to do
07:41sort of tedious
07:42speed manoeuvres
07:43that's where they tend
07:44to get a little bit
07:45confused and
07:46unsure of themselves.
07:48Now the all-wheel drive system,
07:49it's an on-demand
07:50style system.
07:51That means when it
07:52detects slip on the
07:53front axle,
07:54it will send torque
07:55to the rear.
07:56So for example,
07:57if I drop a wheel
07:58off the edge here
07:59and come to a stop
08:00and then just stand
08:01on the throttle,
08:02I've got one side
08:03of the car here
08:04on a grippy surface
08:05and one side
08:06on a surface
08:07with no traction.
08:08Basically,
08:09it detects slip
08:10on that side,
08:11which means
08:12that you can
08:13take off
08:14with ease there.
08:15If we're just in
08:16a standard front-wheel
08:17drive car,
08:18it will just
08:19spin on that wheel
08:20and we won't
08:21really go anywhere
08:22unless it has
08:23a front diff lock
08:24or something like
08:25that to send torque
08:26to the other side
08:27with traction on it.
08:28Now let's talk
08:29fuel economy.
08:30So Cherry claims
08:31around 7.5 litres
08:32per 100km.
08:33We are currently
08:34sitting on
08:35a long-term
08:3610.1,
08:37so a little bit
08:38higher than the
08:39claim there.
08:40If you're doing
08:41sportier driving
08:42or you're on it
08:43a bit more,
08:44it will creep up,
08:45but 10 is sort of
08:46getting up there,
08:47so you will notice
08:48the difference here
08:49between the entry-level
08:50vehicle and the 1.6
08:51with the extra power
08:52and torque
08:53and the extra weight
08:54that the all-wheel
08:55drive system
08:56delivers as well.
08:57Now let's talk
08:58about ride.
08:59So what they've done
09:00here is kept
09:01a really soft tune,
09:02so it doesn't feel
09:03all that different
09:04to the front-wheel
09:05drive variant.
09:06So when you are
09:07driving in and around
09:08town, it means
09:09that it sucks up
09:10things like speed
09:11humps and cobblestones
09:12and all that sort of
09:13stuff in the city
09:14pretty nicely,
09:15and that's also paired
09:16with very light
09:17steering as well,
09:18so parking is a breeze.
09:19It means you can get
09:20in and out of spots
09:21easily without having
09:22to tie your arms out.
09:23Now, we're going to go
09:24through safety tech
09:25in just a second
09:26to see how that
09:27feels like,
09:28but for the most part
09:29it does feel a little
09:30less intrusive,
09:31so I'm not getting
09:32all of the warnings
09:33that we were getting
09:34in the first car
09:35that we tested
09:36with the driver
09:37monitoring system
09:38which is a mandated
09:39thing by ANCAP
09:40which is the
09:41Australian testing body
09:42and it means that
09:43if it doesn't have
09:44this system,
09:45and if it's not
09:46aggressive,
09:47it won't receive
09:48a 5-star rating
09:49which I just think
09:50is the most
09:51delusional thing
09:52in the world.
09:53Why would you
09:54have a system
09:55that is ineffective
09:56that you're going
09:57to switch off anyway
09:58to achieve a 5-star
09:59rating?
10:00It's like pure irony.
10:01Now, what does it
10:02feel like when the
10:03speed picks up?
10:04One of the things
10:05we noticed with
10:06the front-wheel
10:07steering is that
10:08it did feel pretty
10:09floaty,
10:10so let's see what
10:11it feels like here
10:12as I dial up 130
10:13again.
10:14Alrighty,
10:15so there it is there.
10:16Oh yeah,
10:17that's still
10:18really quite floaty,
10:19so yeah,
10:20they still need
10:21to improve that.
10:22I think that it's
10:23an easy fix.
10:24Local Ride and Handling
10:25tune where they
10:26bring people to
10:27Australia to assess
10:28our road conditions,
10:29they'll really get
10:30on top of that
10:31and make it a far
10:32better experience
10:33because that is
10:34just far too floaty
10:35at the top end there
10:36so it's not going
10:37to feel quite sloppy.
10:40Let's have a look
10:41at what it's like
10:42on our bumpy
10:43stretch of road
10:44here with our
10:45corrugations and
10:46condensed sine wave
10:47as well.
10:48Okay, so we do
10:49this at 90 kph.
10:50Okay, so there's
10:5190 there,
10:52here's our
10:53condensed sine wave.
10:58It is actually
10:59quite comfortable
11:00over this stuff,
11:01so it's only if
11:02you're really
11:03getting up that
11:04you're going to
11:05notice the sort
11:06of the lack
11:07of body control
11:08there or if you're
11:09driving out in
11:10the country on
11:11one of those
11:12consecutive sine waves
11:13where you'll really
11:14notice it but
11:15driving in and
11:16around the city
11:17of the ride is
11:18actually really
11:19quite comfortable.
11:21Now what about
11:22your drive modes?
11:23You've got a
11:24little button here
11:25to cycle through
11:26drive modes.
11:27There are a stack
11:28of them so you've
11:29got Eco, Normal,
11:30Sport, Snow, Mud
11:31and Off-Road.
11:32Off-Road, that's
11:33a curious one.
11:34You've got Track
11:35here, so obviously
11:36you're not going to
11:37drive the car like
11:38this if you own it
11:39but we test all the
11:40cars back to back
11:41in the same way
11:42to see how they
11:43feel once they are
11:44pushed to their
11:45limits.
11:52A bit of
11:53understeer there
11:54but I am liking
11:55the extra
11:56traction you're
11:57getting there
11:58from the all-wheel
11:59drive system where
12:00the front-wheel
12:01drive one starts
12:02grappling for
12:03traction.
12:04This is able to
12:05send the torque
12:06to the rear and
12:07give you the
12:08stability and the
12:09peace of mind that
12:10you need when you're
12:11really getting up it.
12:12It's actually an
12:13incredibly eager
12:14engine and the
12:15gearbox is great as
12:16well once you're
12:17on it.
12:19Brakes feel really
12:20confident as well
12:21so we're running
12:22a bigger rotor here
12:23compared to the
12:24entry-level car so
12:25you're getting
12:26better braking
12:27performance.
12:28See, mid-corner
12:29bumps there really
12:30unsettles the car
12:31quite a bit.
12:33But I am
12:34pretty impressed
12:35with what it's
12:36doing here in
12:37terms of the
12:38amount of
12:39performance we're
12:40getting from the
12:41engine and the
12:42all-wheel drive system
12:43as well.
12:44So while you're
12:45not going to be
12:46carving up
12:47Bathurst anytime
12:48soon, it is
12:49actually pretty
12:50engaging to drive
12:51once you get up it.
12:54Now let's talk
12:55about road noise.
12:56There is a fair
12:57bit coming into
12:58the cabin.
12:59It's not outrageous
13:00but it's definitely
13:01not the quietest
13:02car in the segment.
13:03You're going to
13:04notice that most on
13:05course-chip roads as
13:06well.
13:07OK, so time to
13:08see whether they
13:09have fixed some of
13:10the annoying things
13:11that we found last
13:12time.
13:13We're going to use
13:14our bowl here to
13:15test it all out and
13:16I'll start off with
13:17the driver monitoring
13:18system because last
13:19time when I was
13:20just literally looking
13:21down here to turn
13:22like headed seats on
13:23it would start beeping
13:24and buzzing at me
13:25and it was
13:26incredibly annoying.
13:27That doesn't seem to
13:28be as annoying this
13:29time around.
13:31Yeah, driver
13:32monitoring.
13:33There we go.
13:34So I had to look
13:35away for quite some
13:36time then for it to
13:37actually do anything.
13:38So that is really
13:39good news to see
13:40that that is sorted.
13:41OK, so let's test
13:42the lane departure.
13:43We'll see how
13:44aggressive that is.
13:45I'll just veer
13:46towards this line.
13:47That's not too
13:48bad.
13:49So that's just
13:50vibrating there and
13:51pulling it back into
13:52line gently.
13:53I'll just try this
13:54line as well.
13:55Yeah, that's fine
13:56as well.
13:57OK, so now let's
13:58try our cruise control.
13:59So I'm going to
14:00switch this on.
14:01So we'll set cruise
14:02control at 70km an hour.
14:05Let's just see how
14:06well it maintains lane
14:08centering here for us.
14:10OK, so it is pretty
14:12close to the left
14:13hand side there, more
14:15so than the center.
14:16We'll jump over to
14:17the next lane and
14:18just see what it's
14:19like up here.
14:22OK, we'll just wait
14:23for that to activate.
14:26OK, that's green.
14:27Wait for the
14:28steering wheel to go
14:29green.
14:34It is quite hesitant
14:35to activate there.
14:36It's sort of...
14:40Yeah, see the
14:41steering wheel hasn't
14:42gone green there even
14:43though we're...
14:44It flashes briefly
14:46and then it just
14:47doesn't actually
14:48activate.
14:49So...
14:51Yeah, that is a bit
14:52strange.
14:53That probably still
14:54needs a little bit of
14:55work there because
14:56it's just...
14:57OK, so it's
14:58activated now but
14:59that took forever
15:00to activate.
15:01Let's just see how
15:02it goes with lane
15:03centering here.
15:04It's not really in
15:05the center of the lane.
15:06It is hugging this
15:07left hand side.
15:08We'll jump up to
15:09our outermost lane.
15:10This is, I guess,
15:11the biggest challenge
15:12for the car actually
15:13engaging up here
15:15and holding as well
15:16because it requires
15:17the maximum amount
15:18of steering input.
15:19So, let's just
15:20see if it actually
15:21engages.
15:24Tipping based on
15:25its performance in
15:26lane centering,
15:27it probably won't.
15:28So, yeah, it doesn't
15:29look like it's
15:30going to activate.
15:31So, all right,
15:32there you go.
15:33There we go,
15:34it's activated now.
15:35Yeah, but it's not
15:36holding that lane.
15:37So, driving monitoring
15:38stuff has improved.
15:39The lane departure
15:40sensitivity has improved
15:41but it appears that
15:42the lane keeping
15:43assistant still isn't
15:44amazing and probably
15:45needs just a little
15:46bit of work.
15:51OK, time to do
15:52a little bit of
15:53performance testing.
15:54I'll be keen to see
15:55how this goes
15:56compared to
15:57front wheel drive ones.
15:58So, we'll see what happens.
15:59I'll pop this
16:00into sport mode.
16:03I'm just going to
16:04stand on brake
16:05and throttle.
16:06Go all the way
16:07through to 120
16:08and see how we go.
16:09That's interesting.
16:11A little slip
16:12off the line there.
16:17Alrighty.
16:18There's 100.
16:20Go through to 120.
16:23There's 120.
16:24Yeah, there is no
16:25official 0 to 100 time.
16:27So, let's see
16:29how this goes.
16:31So, 0 to 100,
16:338.37 seconds.
16:35So, it's not the worst
16:36result in the world
16:37and 80 to 120
16:38in 5.85 seconds.
16:40So, also not too bad.
16:42We'll overlay the results
16:43of the original
16:44Emoto 5 that we
16:45tested as well
16:46so you can see
16:47how they compare.
16:48Let's head back
16:49and do a brake for 100.
16:52OK, get up to
16:53100 kph.
16:55Stand on the brakes
16:56and see what this
16:57Tyron brake package is like.
17:10OK, that was good.
17:11Sunroof
17:13slightly closed there
17:14or the sunroof shade.
17:16So, let's have a look
17:17at how we went.
17:18So, 100 to 0,
17:192.84 seconds,
17:2039.32 metres.
17:22So, an OK result
17:24but I always like
17:25to see something
17:26closer to 35 metres
17:27but it is good
17:28for what it is.
17:29And if you do want
17:30to see how this car
17:31compares to others
17:32that we've tested before,
17:33have a look at the link
17:34in the description below
17:35and that'll take you
17:36to the page
17:37with all the results.
17:38Now, how quick
17:39does it go in reverse?
17:40Let's give this a shot.
17:46Alright, 50 kph,
17:48not bad.
17:53So, the Cherry Emotive 5 GT
17:55all-wheel drive,
17:56bit of a mouthful.
17:57What do we think?
17:58Look, I think that engine
17:59is heaps of fun.
18:00It has a lot of punch,
18:01doesn't weigh all that much
18:02so it means that you can
18:03really get into it.
18:05And I actually went
18:06for a lap around
18:07after we were done
18:08filming with stability control off
18:09and it was far more engaging.
18:11It was quite bitey
18:12with the stability control on
18:13but with all that stuff off
18:14it's actually
18:15a bit of fun to drive.
18:16So, I think it needs
18:17a ride and handling tune
18:18for Australia.
18:19They've fixed, for the most part,
18:20all the safety aid issues
18:21that they had previously.
18:23But I reckon
18:24with a good ride and handling tune
18:25this could actually
18:26be really fun to drive.
18:27So, let me know
18:28what you reckon
18:29in the comments section below.
18:30You probably don't necessarily
18:31need the all-wheel drive system.
18:32The front-wheel drive one
18:33was perfectly fine
18:34for what it did.
18:35The all-wheel drive one
18:36just steps it up a notch
18:37in terms of performance
18:38with that extra punch
18:39that you're getting
18:40from that engine.
18:41So, let me know
18:42what you reckon.
18:43Do you think it's still
18:44good value for money?
18:45Have you bought one?
18:46What is it like?
18:47Let me know
18:48in the comments section below.
