00:00What's good guys? Slime Green Beats in the building. In this video
00:03I'm going to show you all how to turn on the metronome and adjust the BPM in
00:09FL Studio 21. Before we get started, make sure you guys check out the How to Mix Beats book
00:14brought to you by Slime Green Beats. How to Mix Beats, the sequel to How to Make Beats.
00:22This cover is even better. This is one of the best book covers you'll ever see. It's amazing.
00:27Great book. Check it out. It's on Amazon. You can get it off of Amazon or the website. Or Etsy.
00:36Or Etsy. Shout out to Etsy. All right. What are we doing? Oh yeah. Jkizzle. Metronome. Metronome.
00:51So metronome is conveniently right here. Right in this upper portion here. This is the BPM of the
00:59beat. This is the metronome. I personally hate the sound of the metronome. But if you right click,
01:06you can select the sound of the metronome. So let's turn it on. Click this. Right click and
01:11click a tick. You can have a beep or a cowbell. I just do the hi-hat. It's probably the less
01:22annoying out of the three sounds. Metronome is essential, obviously, for keeping things on beat.
01:27And if you want to change the beat here or the BPM, you can move this. So what about sounds
01:40are already there? If you have a pattern already there, you can adjust it. Sometimes it will ask
01:51you if you want to change the BPM of the pattern. You can choose to or not. So I'm basically just
01:58left clicking and dragging. This is the feature here. You can also tap it. Select some of the
02:12bass ones here. You can also tap it. If I'm trying to figure out what the BPM of something is, I can
02:18be like. See, it's like 100. It's like that. So simple tap, right click, tap. Okay, I'll show you
02:42one more BPM related thing. For my samplers out there. Let's get a percussion right here. D-Cap.
02:55Alright, so if we drag this in here, this pattern. So if we want this to be on BPM, well first of all,
03:07you can double click into this with the left click, double left click, right click, detect
03:15tempo. 154 is the estimated tempo. So you can change the entire track to that.
03:38Okay, obviously the sampler has to align with it. You can also just drag this. You have to play with this here.
03:48Stretching and such. So if you do that, you click this, it's going to stretch. Okay, that's not necessarily
04:02BPM related, but that's another BPM thing. So BPM, metronome, that's where it's at guys. If you guys have any
04:12questions, let me know. I'm pretty sure that covers it all. Let's end this video on just a solid BPM
04:21sound. While I talk about this book. On beat. Please buy this book right now. See ya.
