00:20booster for him. I expected Ferguson to be pretty good coming into it, but if you told me he would
00:25have come away to win the first one, no, I wouldn't have believed you, but he truly did
00:30deserve it. Ramps are up, the gates are down. Who is going to be into the first turn first? Again,
00:36we see Larwood put himself in a good position. Taylor is there to the inside as well as we try
00:42and pick up the rest of the rides. There is Baccarat back there in third. Oh, he comes together
00:47with Rhys Butt. Butt goes down. Oh, what a bummer for Rhys to put yourself in that great position.
00:56Early on, but let's see if Larwood can learn from the first race. Oh, he gets past right there. Is
01:00that Taylor that goes by him? Rhys Taylor to the lead. Now, he did not have a great first race.
01:06Remember, both scores, both races count to the overall, and at the moment, it is absolutely

01:53Connolly making some passes early, and Connolly had a good race that first one. Did he hit it
01:58up second? Correct, so a 2-2 on the night could be a great position for Brody Connolly, and he's
02:04going after Taylor for the lead. He looks aggressive. Very aggressive at the moment,
02:08so Connolly to the outside here. Oh, switches it to the inside. What a very forceful...
02:13Wow, and you can just tell by his riding right now, he's not okay with anything other than going
02:19to the front. There he skims the whoops right there, gets off the back of the bike, misses one,
02:23makes a mistake, but wow, Connolly's on a mission right now. So again, these boys stepping it up
02:30at Team Honda. Wilson leading the charge. You need to step up here, boys, and we are getting close.
02:39Connolly almost down. Wow, that was so close. What a save. Almost coming unstuck again,
02:46a little loose coming through that turn. Taylor right there, and just keep an eye at the background
02:51too. There is four or five riders that are looking to join the party. One of them is Ferguson
02:56and McElrath. Actually, Ferguson has dropped back to eighth place, but if you're Connolly up front,
03:02you know you're making some mistakes. You just need to take a deep breath off some of these jumps.

03:19No one wants to win this race at the moment, and there is Larwood right behind Kingsford.
03:25This race is absolutely epic. I saw Thompson put an inside move on McElrath. They are now part of
03:31this gaggle of riders that are battling it out for second, third, fourth, fifth. All the while,
03:37the 86 machine is starting to find his own place out in the front, but he is not being dropped.
03:43I'm sorry, he is not dropping the 21 machine of Kingsford, who continues to move forwards as well.
03:47And what an unexpected night so far in this SX2 class. You think about the favorites coming in,
03:52Colt Thompson, Shane McElrath. Oh, no. All three go down, all three teammates.
03:58All three teammates going down together. Thompson, is that McElrath? It is.
04:03Thompson, McElrath and Connolly all down in the same turn. That is not what team owner Yuri Yakovsky
04:09wanted from these three guys. And we see a change in the lead. Kingsford now leads the way.
04:15Have a look at the replay. Connolly to the outside. McElrath was going to take him high,
04:20and then Thompson took both of them down. Wow. There'll be some words back in the Honda truck
04:26after that one. So taking themselves out of contention for any kind of podium at the moment.
04:34Team dinner will be interesting tonight with those guys.
04:38As we see Kingsford now leading the way here. Reid Taylor sits in second.
04:44Larwood, after such a devastating first race, sits there comfortably in third.
04:51Meneer, very quietly sitting back there in fourth place at the moment, just in the back of shots
04:56just a moment ago. The overall has to be just a complete mix-up right now. We have no idea. Meneer
05:04might be up there. Ferguson maybe a 1.5 could potentially, at the moment as it sits. Ferguson
05:1041, Taylor on 40, and Kingsford on 38 points and looking to be the overall. But we still have four
05:19laps to go. Kingsford, anything can happen in four laps. We've seen so much happen in two laps.
05:26Look at the background. There is Meneer. He's under a lot of pressure at the moment by Ferguson.
05:31Now Ferguson needs to make this pass almost securely. He's winning if he can do so. Now if Taylor can
05:36get by Kingsford as well, that I think would solidify him as the overall winner. And he's
05:42got to know that if you're the mechanic, you've got to put out the pit bull and say, hey, we need
05:45this pass. We absolutely need it for the overall. Right now though, he is starting to lose ground
05:51on Kingsford. He's stretched it out. Well, it only says 0.2 of a second. I don't believe that 2.7
05:57is the distance now. Kingsford put in a great lap that time, 55.0. That's his fastest lap
06:02of the race. So when the time is needed, he put down a great lap. Clear, 1.5 seconds faster than
06:09anyone else on track. Wow. Wow, what a race. We are once again being presented here at round one.
06:18Kingsford clinical at the moment. He has done it, not the neatest as well. He had that moment early
06:24on in this race where he pulled up short and was unable to do the rhythm section in this
06:29particular part actually. But right now he has gotten that dialed in. Continues to stretch that
06:36lead out. We have two laps to go. It will be the last lap the next time around for this rider.
06:44We'll try and keep an eye on the background and see if we can see what's happening. There is
06:48Taylor in the background. He still has the Honda rider of Larwood all over the back wheel of him
06:53at the moment. You have your Kingsford out front right now. One lap to go. Just get it home safe.
06:59The track is tricky right now. We've still got a little bit of rain coming down. It's slippery.
07:04Taylor there in second. Larwood all over him in third. So things have changed again behind
07:09on the leaderboard. Ferguson has dropped one place. So at the moment, Taylor is tied with
07:15Ferguson. And on the count back with this result, Taylor will get the victory. So he cannot afford
07:23to allow Larwood to come past. I wonder if he knows this is for the overall. If so, you've got
07:30to do everything in your power to not let Larwood by. But Larwood has not given up.
07:35No, Larwood is pushing it all the way to the very end as we come around to the chequered flag
07:40right now. And we will see that our race leader, Kingsford right there,
07:45around will greet the chequered flag. He will get 38 points over the two races.
07:52And that will probably give him on the very last lap, last turn.
07:59And you can see the boat come over the line right there.
08:06Last lap, last corner. He does a jack none. He did a jack none in that last turn.
08:11He's able to get what we think unofficially. Yes, absolutely. Looking at the scoring that
08:18we see right here, of course, it is the officials that will be making the judgment down there.
08:23And this is what we think on screen is the podium. And I don't think Ferguson probably knows
08:33that he might have the overall. Taylor thinks he's got the overall.
08:38This will be interesting to see how this plays out. Yes. And it's really hard as a racer.
08:44If you're Ferguson, you want to be, you want to be elated right now. You want to know you've won.
08:48Yeah. Reed Taylor, he just had a great race as well. He might think that he's
08:51won. If you're Kingsford, you just had an amazing race, winning that individual race too.
08:58So there is Kingsford right there. Beautiful run through the final stages of this race,
09:03up and over, picks up that victory. He did everything he could in that one to ensure
09:09the victory in Moto number two, but we think it will be.
