00:00Our government is still continuing to repatriate some of our countrymen to Lebanon.
00:06In fact, almost 40 Filipinos have been repatriated to the country
00:11after the Canadian government helped them.
00:14Here is the report.
00:18More than 400 overseas Filipino workers,
00:21including almost 30 of their dependents,
00:24have been repatriated from Lebanon.
00:27According to the government,
00:28this includes the latest arrival yesterday of another individual
00:32who was rescued and returned to Manila,
00:34as well as an OFW who was immediately brought to the Oahu Ambulance Hospital
00:40due to his medical condition.
00:42In addition to the government,
00:43almost 40 Filipinos have been repatriated to the country
00:47after the Canadian government helped them.
00:49Before these people went home,
00:51Philippine Ambassador to Lebanon Raymond Balatbat saw them.
00:55They were expected to arrive in Manila on Monday night.
00:58The government assured that they will continue their efforts
01:02to bring the Filipinos home from Lebanon.
01:05This is part of the assurance of their safety
01:08amid the ongoing conflict in the region.
01:11First, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ordered
01:14the concerned government agencies
01:16to use all resources available
01:20to ensure the safe repatriation of Filipinos to Lebanon.
01:24According to the Department of Migrant Workers,
01:2711,000 Filipinos are in Lebanon.
01:30Most of them can be found or live in Beirut.
01:34The main job of most Filipinos here are domestic workers.
01:38The government repeatedly called on Filipinos in Lebanon
01:42to return to the Philippines.
