00:00Building an inclusive economy involves meeting the needs of all social groups

00:06and providing them with the necessary resources and incentives

00:10to boost Malaysia's overall economic demand.

00:14Budget 2024 did just that by empowering marginalized groups

00:18through the Sumbangan Tunai Rahma and Sumbangan Asas Rahma programs.

00:22Under SDR, low-income households can apply for a one-time cash aid

00:28of up to Rp 3,700, a Rp 600 increase from 2023

00:33to compensate for inflation and a higher cost of living.

00:38This was made possible after the government allocated Rp 10 billion to the scheme

00:42under Budget 2024, affirming its commitment to assist vulnerable groups.

00:48Similarly, SARA offers cash assistance to poor families

00:52by loading funds onto their identity cards,

00:55which can then be used to purchase essential goods at selected supermarkets.

01:00Additionally, the Bayong Rahma initiative, including RahmaSales and Pasar Rahma,

01:05was able to continue to support low-income individuals

01:09with a Rp 200 million allocation from Budget 2024.

01:14These initiatives, benefiting around 60% of Malaysian adults,

01:18have provided countless B40 and M40 families with the much-needed support

01:23to build a sustainable pathway to a better life.

01:27For example, participants in the Bayong Rahma program

01:31are encouraged to set up their own small businesses,

01:34working with the goal of becoming a micro-entrepreneur in the future.
