00:00In combat sports, let's take a look at what happened in the second edition of the Sudokwan National Championships in Pasay.

00:09This is Paolo Salamatin's report.

00:13Punches, grappling, but no kicks.

00:16That's the new combat sport, known as Sudokwan,

00:20where hundreds of athletes showed their skills in the second Sudokwan National Championships in Pasay City Sports Complex.

00:29Despite being a combat sport, Sudokwan is still considered a safe sport compared to other sports like Taekwondo, Muay Thai, and Boxing

00:37where even a 5-year-old or a 10-year-old can try this kind of sport.

00:44There are those who say that combat sports are only for adults,

00:48but Sudokwan is considered a safe combat sport.

00:52Several female participants did not hesitate to try it in the competition.

00:58I really can't support this.

01:01They say that these kind of sports are not for women.

01:05And to be able to prove them wrong, it's like a big achievement.

01:09It's a good sport. It's a very safe sport for those who want to become an athlete.

01:17Some Sudokwan Association officials were pleased with the successful performance of the tournament

01:24that will help them to become a successful national sports association, the Sudokwan Combat Sport.

01:31Thank God, my heart will help me, Legacy,

01:35to help the young athletes to have a chance to change their lives and elevate their lives from poverty.

01:43Actually, we were a bit hurt when we were just about to enter here.

01:47They were prohibited because they thought that we were street children.

01:50They thought that we might steal.

01:51But our founder, Rene Catalan, is giving those young people a chance.

01:57One of the reasons why it's good to enter national sports is because,

02:03number one, especially in the deaf end,

02:06they are thinking about what sports are not that dangerous.

02:14This kind of competition is a big thing

02:17to make the sport of Sudokwan more important here in the country.

02:22Now, more young people can enter the world of sports.
