00:00Hello. For many it's a drier weekend compared with the week that's been and low pressure
00:06is slowly easing away. That will allow the outbreaks of rain and the showers to also
00:12ease overnight but there will still be some cloud and outbreaks of rain for southern Scotland,
00:16northern England and a few showers for Wales and the south-west through the night. Otherwise
00:21clear spells towards the south-east as well as towards the north-west and it's towards
00:25the north-west where we'll see the coolest air by dawn with temperatures in the single
00:29figures and as low as 3 or 4 Celsius in some sheltered spots. There will also be some
00:35mist and fog across parts of northern Scotland and Northern Ireland first thing because of
00:39course this low has left a lot of moisture and with those temperatures falling away along
00:44with light winds we're likely to see some fog development. So pockets of poor visibility
00:50first thing on Saturday but they will lift by 7 or 8am and then for Scotland and Northern
00:56Ireland mostly it's sunny spells during the day on Saturday and staying dry after any
01:00early drizzle clears from south-east Scotland. It stays dull and damp for northern England
01:05but the rain here turns a bit more showery by the afternoon and scattered showers will
01:09break out further south but certainly fewer compared with recent days. There will be some
01:13sunshine in between and temperatures widely up in the high teens or low twenties. Into
01:19Saturday evening the showers for many will disappear with clear spells breaking out fairly
01:25widely under those clear skies with light winds. Again it's a cool night and not just
01:30for Scotland and Northern Ireland I think quite widely a cooler night is expected and
01:35fairly widely we're likely to see some mist and fog form by dawn. So some poor visibility
01:40once again but shouldn't last that long on Sunday. I think it will get out of the way
01:45by about 7 or 8am once again and a lot of places will see sunny spells throughout Sunday.
01:52Days of clouds still developing and one or two showers couldn't be ruled out down the
01:56spine of the country. However for many it's looking like a dry and fairly bright day with
02:02some sunshine. That is until later on across parts of western Scotland and eventually Northern
02:08Ireland when some outbreaks of perhaps quite heavy rainfall turn up. Temperatures reaching
02:15the high teens and low twenties perhaps a degree or so higher compared with Saturday.
02:21Now the rain towards the west and north west that's going to move across Scotland and Northern
02:26Ireland through the night on Sunday. It will clear to showers on Monday but it will push
02:30into central areas before eventually ending up in the south by Tuesday.
