00:00Hello there, welcome to your Wednesday morning forecast. A band of rain will
00:04sink southwards today with blustery showers towards the north and west of
00:08Scotland. More clouds further south but hanging on to some warmth across
00:12southern counties. Yet again a cold wind across the northwest and here's that
00:17wind delivering showers through Wednesday morning. Brighter skies though
00:20across eastern and southern parts of Scotland. If you're stepping out across
00:23Northern Ireland more cloud but mostly dry. Then we run into this rain
00:27anywhere from Lancashire, Yorkshire southwards extending across mid-western
00:31and northern parts of Wales and notice this some heavy pulses associated with
00:36it. To the south of it is a rather cloudy start and over any hills you could see
00:39some patchy drizzle. Through the day though some holes arriving allowing for
00:43some warm sunshine as this rain gradually sinks southwards but it will
00:47take its time. At the same time some brighter weather comes and goes across
00:50Northern Ireland and even to end the day we'll see some bright skies across
00:54southern counties of Scotland and the far north of England. Eastern Scotland
00:57not doing too badly 12 degrees Celsius here. Showers towards the north and the
01:02west continue and even under this rain band the air remains relatively warm for
01:06this time of year. You could still see a 20-21. Now overnight on Wednesday night
01:11the rain becomes confined to the Midlands southwards so we'll see clearer
01:16skies towards the north and it will turn much colder. Temperatures are really going
01:19to plummet. The risk of a frost for rural spots of Northern Ireland, the
01:23Glens of Scotland and temperatures dipping down to single figures generally
01:27so a chilly and crisp autumnal start to the day on Thursday with the light
01:31breeze. But towards the south yet again we'll see some pulses of rain, more cloud
01:36here but gradually that rain will clear to the low countries. And then most
01:40places away from central and southern parts of England and Wales we'll see some
01:44bright skies although more cloud will thicken from the west later across
01:49Western Scotland as the wind picks up some strength and we'll see the next
01:53batch of showery bursts of rain move in as rain in the south on Friday turns heavy.
