00:00Hello there, Saturday has certainly felt very different depending on whether you've been
00:05in the North or the South of the UK. We've seen almost a 20 degree Celsius difference
00:10in our temperatures. Heat from North Africa and continental Europe has allowed temperatures
00:14to climb around 25 degrees Celsius across southern areas of England, but places like
00:20Balmoral and Braymar in Scotland haven't seen much higher than 6 degrees Celsius. It's felt
00:25very cold underneath the clouds and rain here and with northerly winds pushing their way down as
00:31well. The rain that has been across Scotland will continue throughout this evening and overnight.
00:36Fairly persistent and heavy pulses are once again possible with further travel disruption
00:41likely in places and an amber weather warning is still in force. Some particularly heavy rain
00:45could push its way into the Outer Hebrides as we head towards the early hours of Sunday morning as
00:49well. A lot of cloud pushing into eastern counties of England, some glistening fog forming along
00:54southern areas of England and Wales as well. A relatively mild night for most of us around 11 to
01:0014 degrees Celsius. Might see something a touch fresher underneath the clearer skies towards the
01:04South West but particularly in the North East where that colder air mass really does cling on
01:09throughout much of the night. The rain will continue across northern Scotland as we head
01:14throughout Sunday as well. The area that has pushed into the Outer Hebrides will then move
01:18its way into the Highlands reaching Moray and Aberdeenshire as well throughout the day. Localised
01:23flooding and disruption is once again possible so do continue to take care throughout the day. A
01:28drier day elsewhere a lot of the cloud will be a bit stubborn to clear the eastern side of England
01:33first thing but some brighter spells developing later on and then for Northern Ireland's central
01:37southern areas of England and Wales as well. A number of sunny spells developing into the afternoon
01:41and that will again allow temperatures to climb seeing 24 degrees maybe 25 degrees once again
01:48in the South East. Usually we'd be around 16 degrees Celsius across southern areas of England
01:53at this point in October and more around 12 degrees as well across areas of Scotland. So
01:59central southern areas of Scotland seeing a little bit of a milder day tomorrow now that that heat is
02:04just able to push its way slightly further northwards but still a bit cool across the very
02:09far north and east. The rain here will slowly abate as we head into Sunday evening and overnight.
02:16Still some heavy pulses initially but eventually turning lighter, patchier and a bit more drizzly
02:20in nature as we head throughout the night. Further drizzle is possible elsewhere particularly as we
02:25start to see some cloud push its way into areas of the Irish Sea turning quite murky for northwest
02:31England, parts of Wales, southwest England as well. Generally the clearest spells further towards the
02:35south and east as we start off Monday morning but once again that mild air is still in place so
02:40temperatures won't be dropping too far at all. Most of our towns and cities holding up well in
02:45double digit figures. As we start off Monday then it will be western areas that now see the legacy
02:52of the cloud and that will be quite slow to clear throughout the day. Could linger along some coasts
02:57of the Irish Sea and perhaps northern Ireland areas of Scotland as well throughout much of the
03:01day. Best of any the sunshine perhaps the Scottish borders down into northumberland as well as central
03:05southeastern areas of England and Wales. Still though temperatures climbing towards 23 degrees
03:11celsius well above par for the time of year. As well northern Ireland 18 degrees celsius,
03:17central eastern areas of Scotland 15 or 16 degrees celsius as well. Not all of us though will hold
03:24on to the heat as we head throughout the rest of the week because there are signs that a rain band
03:28will push its way from in the northwest towards the southeast as we head throughout the week and
03:32behind that we'll start to see some fresher conditions moving their way in as well. So the
03:36milder may hold on a bit more in the south but eventually could turn a bit cooler here as well
03:41but we'll provide further updates on all of that as we head over the next few days so make sure
03:46you're following us across all of our social media channels and we'll be back again very soon bye
