00:00Hello there, welcome to your Wednesday evening weather update from the Met Office.
00:04Through tomorrow some warm sunshine, still some showers around and a legacy
00:08of cloud with some outbreaks of rain. This weather front's been bothering the
00:12country through the last few days. It's slow-moving, it's relatively weak but
00:16we'll continue to see some pulses of rain around it before it tends to fizzle
00:20out as we head into the weekend and with a slight ridge of high pressure. Now through
00:25Wednesday evening you see where the cloud is, even some patchy rain across
00:28western Scotland and more rain just moving in from the North Sea across
00:32eastern counties. Now light breezes across the rest of England and Wales
00:36will allow for some mist and fog, even the odd fog patch for Northern Ireland
00:40and a bit of a breeze coming in across the northeast of Scotland, certainly a
00:44keen wind for Orkney and Shetland as we head into Thursday morning but you'll
00:49see some sunshine. Not the case across northern and eastern parts of England,
00:53southern parts of Scotland as well. And this rain may pep up for a time
00:57particularly across Norfolk, Lincolnshire up towards Northumberland as well as
01:01East Yorkshire. Further west we'll see some lovely sunshine as well as central
01:04northern areas of Scotland but this sunshine will trigger some showers which
01:08will be slow-moving as well as heavy with the risk of thunder through the
01:12afternoon, particularly across southern parts of Wales down towards the home
01:16counties and a few showers also across the Western Highlands but here
01:20temperatures will reach around 22-23 degrees Celsius cooler along this east
01:24coast with an onshore breeze. Now through Thursday evening most places fine but yet
01:29again here's that cloud, the cloud is pivoting towards Wales again, South
01:34Yorkshire, Derbyshire that's where we could see some patchy rain down towards
01:38Pembrokeshire as well. To the south of that a bit of a cooler night and across
01:42Scotland some clearer skies as well. So Friday morning will dawn bright across
01:48the top and the tail of the country. In between always more in the way of cloud
01:51although mostly dry for Northern Ireland. A few showery bits can't be
01:55ruled out across border regions and this cloud here will produce some patchy rain
01:59and drizzle but yet again it will thin through the day. Temperatures on the up
02:03as well 20 to 23 degrees Celsius generally and if you want more details
02:07about the weather check out our 10-day trend. I'll see you later.
