00:00This is my new Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
00:03Now, I haven't even driven it yet,
00:05but already I'm going to make some changes to it.
00:08I'm also going to be checking it for blemishes
00:11to see how good the paint is out of the factory.
00:13I've already removed the stickers
00:15because something special is going here.
00:18And then there's the number plate, which you can't see yet,
00:21because I wanted something as flashy as the car itself.
00:24I'm going to have a go at doing some of the modifications myself
00:27to help me decide what finish to go for.
00:30And finally, I'm going to be doing some things to the interior,
00:33which you've probably never thought about,
00:35but they can keep it looking newer for longer.
00:37Anyway, let's get on with it.
00:39What could possibly go wrong?
00:43Ow!
00:45It's already gone wrong, hasn't it?
00:51I'm here with Harry from Onyx Automotive in West Bromwich.
00:54Hello, Harry. Hi, Matt, how are you?
00:56I'm good, thanks. I'm excited about what we're going to do to my car.
00:59Definitely. So what are we going to do, though?
01:01That's the question. What are we going to do?
01:02There's a couple of things I'd like you to do.
01:04First of all, I want you to look around the car
01:07and give me your opinion on the quality of the paint from the factory.
01:11Then, obviously, I want to do PPF on it to protect it,
01:14but I'm not sure which way to go
01:16in whether I go for a different kind of effect
01:18or just clear protection.
01:20I also want to try and fit some PPF myself
01:23because I reckon it's going to be easy.
01:24We'll soon find out, that's for sure.
01:27You know, I'm good at fitting screen protectors to phones,
01:29so what's the difference? It's the same principle.
01:31So, same principle, however, screen protector's flat.
01:34This is very curved, very angular, extremely difficult to fit a GT3 RS.
01:39OK, and then another thing I want to do is fit some different stickers to it.
01:43That's why we've got the stickers off, as well as we need to do for the PPF.
01:46Do some things to the inside.
01:48But first, I want to make sure that I made the right spec choice.
01:52So, Harry, here we have a GT3 RS that you've already done.
01:56So, you've practised on this car.
01:57We have practised, yeah.
01:59We've got this right, so yours should be relatively straightforward in comparison.
02:02That's good to hear.
02:03Steep learning curve was on this one.
02:04Oh, good, good, good. Right.
02:06Thing is, though, I'm really liking this ice grey metallic in satin.
02:09It looks awesome.
02:11Forget about the satin finish.
02:12Do you think this spec is better than the spec I went for?
02:15Well, I mean, you do have ceramics, so you're one up straight away.
02:18However, colour's personal preference.
02:20I personally like ice grey metallic,
02:22but I think the GT possibly in satin might just be better than this.
02:26Oh, so you're pushing for a satin finish with PPF.
02:29I'm not sure if I'm going to do that just yet.
02:30One thing I do like about this car, the dials in yellow.
02:33Almost did that.
02:34It ties in nicely with the yellow on the gear selector
02:38and on the steering wheel and on the carbon ceramic brakes,
02:40if you have them like me.
02:41But I went with white.
02:43Too late now.
02:44Very...
02:45Anyway, do you know what?
02:46Should we go back to my car?
02:47I'm going to get you to appraise the paint finish.
02:50Right, Harry, got my little camera here.
02:52You've got your years of experience.
02:54I want you to go around this car, pick apart the quality of the paint.
03:00OK, right, so overall, it's pretty good.
03:03However, there are a couple of little bits on it.
03:05Go on then, show me.
03:05So we've got, on the bonnet here,
03:07we've got a tiny little imperfection in the carbon.
03:10I would never have noticed that.
03:11What else have we got? Should we carry on round?
03:13So if we go round the car, we've got, on the rear bumper,
03:16we've got a tiny little mark.
03:18So there's nothing down the side?
03:19No, I mean, the side's pretty good.
03:20So there's nothing really that's sticking out.
03:23There is, if you want to be ever so picky...
03:25Go for it.
03:25...on this wing, the actual panel doesn't sit 100% flush with the door.
03:30Do you know why I think that is?
03:31So these doors are carbon fibre, so they're not pressed from metal.
03:35So they're harder to get, bang on.
03:38But it doesn't look too bad.
03:40What's it like compared to the other GT3 RS?
03:42The other one's a little bit wavy, just the same as this one.
03:44So maybe it's just a Porsche design and they just don't...
03:47It's just the design.
03:48What's the paint finish like in terms of orange peel?
03:51We have orange peel on most of the car here.
03:53So there are a few little bits that are slightly different,
03:55with some of it being carbon fibre versus, obviously, aluminium.
03:58The orange peel is nothing to worry about on this vehicle.
04:00OK, so I can see a little bit here.
04:03What are you talking about, carbon fibre? Why does that matter?
04:05So this is painted on a production line.
04:07The carbon fibre is hand-painted.
04:08So there's less orange peel where it's been done by hand than by the machine?
04:12Yeah.
04:13Got to say, Harry, though, you've got a very critical eye.
04:15I do feel a little bit sorry for your girlfriend.
04:18She's good as gold.
04:20You're like, wait a minute, love, you've got a little bit of sleep in your eye,
04:22a bit of mascara all around.
04:24So anyway, let's move on.
04:25Don't bug yourself on that one.
04:26I nearly clocked that, then.
04:28Anything at the back?
04:29So, rear end looks good.
04:31I can't see any noticeable things.
04:33I mean, spoiler all fits OK, it's all working functionally.
04:35How about the weave and how it's lined up?
04:37Is it quite good, the carbon fibre on this?
04:40So, I mean, yeah, weave matches from spoiler to bonnet.
04:42Well, I tell a lie, wing mirrors are pointing the opposite direction.
04:45So maybe that's just the way the design.
04:47Yeah, I'm sure it is.
04:48Is there anything else on this car that we should look at?
04:50So there was a tiny bit on the other side of the rear bumper as well.
04:52Show me.
04:53So we're looking just down here, just literally on the edge there.
04:55I mean, this is, yeah.
04:57Yeah, we're being super critical,
04:59but when you're spending this much money on a car,
05:00you want it to be perfect.
05:01So that brings me on to the fact of,
05:03is this bad or is this kind of better
05:07than what you'd expect from a car from factory?
05:09I mean, the reality is Porsche, compared to other manufacturers,
05:11are a million times better.
05:13OK.
05:14Not that I'm slating on the manufacturers,
05:15but we do have issues that are far worse than this.
05:18Are you talking about Ferrari?
05:21No, we're not going to get into that.
05:23OK, so this is actually pretty blooming good.
05:25There's nothing we can't sort out.
05:26OK, so you're going to get and do that.
05:27OK, right.
05:28Is there anything you've noticed in the interior?
05:31So, I mean, the interior itself looks pretty perfect.
05:34So obviously we've got some seat covers still on there.
05:36We've still got some bits in there from where it was delivered to us.
05:38But the reality is, until we check it over properly, we won't know.
05:41Now, I've kept on the screen protector for the infotainment system.
05:44I struggle to remove those from phones when I first get a phone.
05:46It takes me like a couple of weeks.
05:48Is there something you can do about that?
05:49Yeah, so we can even put a satin finish protector
05:52or we can put a gloss finish protector.
05:53Maybe we'll get you to have a go at that today.
05:55OK, before I have a go at that,
05:56I'm going to try something that's way harder.
05:58Right, we're going to get into some PPFing.
06:00So, Harry, what are you doing here?
06:02Here we have the wing for your car.
06:04So what I'm doing now is I'm transferring it from the computer to the plotter,
06:07which is going to cut the film out for us,
06:09and then we can fit it on the vehicle.
06:10OK, right. So you're going to print that off.
06:12And then what we're going to do,
06:13I'm going to get Harry to actually PPF in just clear the one wing,
06:18and I'm going to time him to see how long it takes him to do it.
06:20And then I'm going to have a go at doing the other wing in satin,
06:23and I'm going to try and do it in the same time that Harry did,
06:25bearing in mind that Harry's been doing this for how many years?
06:28We're seven years now.
06:29OK, and how many do you do a week?
06:31Five and ten cars a week.
06:32And I've just fitted a few screen protectors to phones.
06:35What could go wrong?
06:36Now, before we PPF my GT3 RS,
06:38I need to reveal to you I've bought another car,
06:40and this could give you a clue as to what it is.
06:42In fact, have a look at the car vertical history check
06:45I did on the car before buying it to make sure it was all right.
06:48Can you guess what the car is?
06:49Anyway, I'll be doing more on that car on my channel soon,
06:53so make sure you're subscribed.
06:54Now, my mate Greg, who's actually filming this video,
06:56was looking at buying a BMW 1 Series for his wife,
06:59and he found one, which was a good price.
07:01And I said, use a car vertical check before buying it,
07:04and the code WATSON for 10% off.
07:06So he did that.
07:07And the good thing about car vertical,
07:09as well as checking for things like whether the car's been stolen,
07:11has outstanding finance and has dodgy mileage,
07:15you can also find out if the car's been damaged.
07:17And sometimes you can see pictures of the car before and after the repair.
07:21And with this 1 Series, Greg could see that.
07:24Now, he knew the car had been accident repaired,
07:26but when he saw pictures of it before it had been repaired,
07:29it'd just been left on its base with no wheels.
07:31And he thought, do you know what?
07:32I don't think I want to buy that.
07:34So he didn't.
07:35And he was very thankful that he did that car vertical check
07:38and used the code WATSON for 10% off.
07:40Now, if you're thinking about buying a used car,
07:42make sure you check out its history with car vertical.
07:46If you want to do that now, click on the pop-out banner
07:48appearing in the top right-hand corner of the screen
07:50for the link in the description or my pinned comment.
07:53Anyway, let's go on with trying to PPF my GT3 RS.
07:57So Harry's got his film.
07:58He's got his... What's that?
08:00So we've got slip solution and we've got alcohol.
08:02I'm going to start the clock. We're going to time you.
08:04Have you done a GT3 RS before? Did you do that car?
08:06No, I didn't fit that car, so I'm going in blind.
08:09So let's see how we go.
08:10Should you be doing my car? Wait a minute.
08:13Right. Three, two, one, go.
08:19Well, I'm a real geek. I've got radio-controlled cars
08:21and I like to fit the decals to them by doing the same thing.
08:24I spray like Winderlein on the little body.
08:26Then you can move the sticker around.
08:28Yes, a similar principle.
08:30I'm going to ace this then, aren't I?
08:34No, I'm actually making you rush a bit here.
08:35You'd go slower normally, wouldn't you?
08:37So this is just for fun.
08:41So you don't have to use a knife on this because it's templated.
08:44Everything's templated, so no need for any knives.
08:50So do you have to keep your nails slightly longer,
08:52a bit like a classical guitar player?
08:53You definitely want to be able to pick the edge of the film, yeah.
08:56Is the RS harder than a normal 911 because of all this?
08:59With all the vents in, yeah, it's a lot harder than a normal 911.
09:02Out of all the parts to do, is this one the hardest?
09:05This is the hardest on the car.
09:07What's the easiest?
09:08You'd probably say the bonnet or the roof will be the easiest.
09:11We should have picked that to do.
09:18You can see how the edges just cut like to go over and around.
09:20You've got it, so where we can, we'll wrap the edge.
09:24You can't always though with PPF, can you?
09:25No, so I mean if you look at where the bumper sits to the wing,
09:27we physically couldn't wrap it there.
09:29If you were wrapping the car rather than PPFing it,
09:31you would though because you don't want to show...
09:32You would, yeah, exactly.
09:33Is there like glue on the back of the film?
09:36The glue is built into the back of the film,
09:37so we use the SIP solution to allow us to move the film around
09:42and then we use the alcohol solution to tap the film.
09:53I like that.
09:55Is that satisfying?
09:55Yeah, that is really satisfying.
09:57You're at nine and a half minutes.
10:04So that's done and that took you 11.38.
10:08We're going to switch to the other wing
10:11and I'm going to have a go with satin.
10:13Good luck.
10:14Right, I've got my film.
10:15Harry's got his phone, stopwatch.
10:17I've got 11 minutes 38 seconds to do this
10:20and I have no idea really other than just what I've witnessed.
10:22Start the clock.
10:24Let's go.
10:27I might need a little bit of instruction.
10:29Do I have to take something off the back?
10:32I don't know.
10:33No, it can't go on like that.
10:34It definitely can't go on the floor either.
10:39Do you want to start again, Matt?
10:40No, we're going to carry on.
10:42I can put it on, it'll be fine.
10:43You can buff whatever scratches I put on out.
10:45Okay, so this is the moving solution.
10:47Right, that's the SIP solution.
10:49Look at this, it's going to be easy.
10:50I'm sure there must be something on the back of this, right?
10:53So you've got the backing paper and the film,
10:54so you've got to separate the film from the backing paper.
10:56We can't have this whole segment of me just trying to get the backing paper off.
11:01Do you want me to put it on for you and then you away?
11:02No, no, can you just pull the back off?
11:07Huh? Is this the template?
11:09So I pull this off now?
11:10So you pull this off, so you're pulling the film off right at this moment in time.
11:13There's bits on it already.
11:15I know. It's been on the floor.
11:17Which is the right... It's sticking to itself.
11:20It's so hard, this is, already.
11:22Now it's really sticking to itself.
11:25Do you want a little hand just to get it on?
11:26Yeah, let's get it on.
11:28We might need to start again here, Matt, I'm going to be honest with you.
11:30You might have really, really got to cut this up.
11:32Cut this?
11:34Start again.
11:36Right, take two.
11:37So we've got some new film.
11:38I'm now going to try and do it, but with Harry giving instruction,
11:42because I clearly didn't really listen to what he was doing.
11:45Okay, so if you give me that.
11:47Right, we're at three minutes, so let's continue the clock rolling.
11:51Go.
11:52What do I do? Go on, just talk me through it.
11:54So, Matt, what we need to do is we need to slip up the whole panel first.
11:56So let's cover the whole panel in slip solution.
11:58You want it nice and slippy, you don't want it sticking to itself like it did before.
12:01That was awful.
12:02Now you're going to wipe the bottom tenth of the panel.
12:05Yeah, all the way across, round under the headlight.
12:08Yeah.
12:08Perfect.
12:09Go back across, there's still a little bit of solution there.
12:11Yeah.
12:12Perfect, right, now we're going to start.
12:13Do you want me to pick the film for you this time?
12:14Yeah.
12:15You've got the nails for it, darling.
12:17So we're going to start from here.
12:19So you're going to put that right...
12:20Imagine where the bottom corner of the wing is.
12:21You're going to line that up with the bottom corner.
12:23Line that up.
12:23Yeah.
12:24Is it nice and tacky? Is it stuck?
12:25No, it's not stuck, it's moving about all over the place.
12:27Someone didn't squeegee that properly.
12:29I need the other squeegee.
12:33I don't like this already.
12:34You made me put too much blooming solution on it, Harry.
12:37Definitely not, you just didn't squeegee it off properly.
12:39It's stuck here now.
12:42Harry, can you hold it in place?
12:44Okay, so what do I do now?
12:45Now, so you see this backing paper?
12:47You're going to hold the film with the left hand,
12:48and then with the right hand you're going to pull the backing paper back
12:50nice and slowly and just keep pulling it.
12:52My angle's not great there.
12:53Yeah, it's stuck, it'll be fine.
12:55Really? Okay.
12:56Yeah, just go nice and slow.
12:57Just imagine you're following the lines of the panel.
12:59Oh, something's happening now, I'm liking this.
13:02So pull that film a little bit more, Matt, the backing paper.
13:04What do you mean?
13:05That's it, yeah, keep going.
13:06Just get the film, if you get the film nice and,
13:08imagine it's like, yeah, circular, you got it.
13:10Now just keep going.
13:11Come on, Matt, keep going, you're nearly there.
13:16Right.
13:17Next step, let's slip up that entire film.
13:19Just pull it back the whole way, we're going to slip all that film up.
13:21It's going to just gather itself together again now?
13:23No, it's just...
13:24Look, it's doing it.
13:25I'll give you a little bit of hand.
13:29Yeah, right now, stop.
13:30We're going to put this film back down.
13:32And now you're going to just see the bit we tacked at the start?
13:34Yeah, do that.
13:34We're going to bring that up from that corner where you started.
13:36This is not getting finished.
13:39Okay, that's enough, we've got to crack on with this.
13:42Right, move it about a bit.
13:43Bish, bash, bosh.
13:45Get that into there like that, like that, like that.
13:48Why wouldn't I use the squeegee for getting these bits out?
13:52Because you don't want to tack the film, you want to pull the excess out.
13:54Okay, so...
13:56Come off, you bugger.
13:57Oh, yeah, it bends that way.
13:59Okay, that's that bit.
14:00Shall I take the headlight out?
14:01Yeah, you can do.
14:03It's quite hard to see where the joins are.
14:05And that's all the bits, because I don't have the...
14:06So, yeah, you can start.
14:08Get that into the corner.
14:10Zip-a-doop-a, look at that, get that out of there.
14:13Look at that.
14:15Look at this.
14:16So, you sort of did these tricky bits last.
14:18It's quite satisfying, actually.
14:20The first bit was awful.
14:21So, remember, you've got two bottles, Matt.
14:22Two bottles?
14:23One's a slip, one's a tack.
14:25So, I need to tack something?
14:27Yeah, otherwise it's going to keep moving forwards as you go with it.
14:30This solution's broken.
14:33Look, it's broken.
14:35Is it broken, though?
14:37Ah.
14:38I think the alignment might be your issue, not the solution.
14:41Ignore that.
14:44Stay.
14:47Oh, yeah, it does tack, doesn't it?
14:48I'm quite bored of that bit.
14:50Do you want the good news or the bad news, Matt?
14:51What's the time?
14:52You've got a minute to go.
14:53It's fine.
14:53We're almost there.
14:55It'll all be sorted.
14:56I don't think we need PPF on that bit.
14:59No, definitely not when you're going satin.
15:01You'd never spot it.
15:05And that's wrong, that template.
15:09That's a big statement, that.
15:11So, Matt, we are finished.
15:12Your time is up, I'm afraid.
15:13There we go.
15:15It's done.
15:17Look at that.
15:18I'm quite pleased with that.
15:19Where's the cloth?
15:21Just give it a wipe over.
15:22Let's have a look at the quality of the finish.
15:23Let's ignore that.
15:24That's not there.
15:25Look at that.
15:26I think Porsche got some of the aero wrong,
15:28and so I've added a little bit extra here.
15:31These are like special winglets,
15:33which help filter the air down the side a bit more efficiently
15:36to reduce drag at high speed
15:37while still maintaining the overall downforce.
15:40It's good.
15:41Yeah?
15:42I've got a bit of a problem with the light, though.
15:44I'll admit that.
15:46I'd say you're just slightly out, Matt.
15:48It's not a large amount,
15:50but you are ever so slightly out.
15:53Do I get a job?
15:55Not quite yet.
15:56I think we've maybe got a couple more days training required.
15:59Okay, just off camera,
16:01I had another go at it and just rectified some of my bad work.
16:04Have a look at it now.
16:06Harry didn't do this at all.
16:08Nothing to do with him.
16:09We did not help.
16:09He did not help.
16:10It was just me.
16:11Anyhow, look, you can now see what it looks like with satin on it
16:14compared to the gloss.
16:16I'm not sure which way I'm going to go with this.
16:17You'll be able to find out exactly what I went for
16:19later on in this video where we do the final reveal.
16:23One last thing to talk about, Harry, is the interior.
16:25What kind of protection can we do in here?
16:28We've got a few different options.
16:30We can offer you some PPF,
16:32we can offer you some leather coating,
16:33and we can do some Alcantara coating as well.
16:35PPF, we can protect the piano black trims.
16:38Because that scratches really badly.
16:39Really, really easily.
16:40We can do the carbon fiber on the dash.
16:42We can do the screen.
16:44Apart from that, there's not a lot else we can do.
16:45There's not much in here,
16:47but obviously the roll cage and...
16:48So there's no point doing the roll cage?
16:50Do you want me to ceramic coat the roll cage for you?
16:51Yeah, why not?
16:53We can.
16:53What's the point of ceramic coating it, though?
16:55Ceramic coating is designed, obviously, with cleaning in mind.
16:58We want to be able to make the car easy to clean.
17:00PPF, on the other hand, is designed to physically stop damage
17:02from occurring to your vehicle.
17:03Right, you mentioned the Alcantara,
17:05which actually Porsche call Race-Tex.
17:07What can you do with that?
17:08Because it can get grubby, especially on a steering wheel, can't it?
17:11So we've got a dedicated Alcantara coating,
17:13or Race-Tex coating, as Porsche call it,
17:15that we can put on there, which will obviously stop stains
17:18and just stop them getting dirty as easily.
17:19Okay, anything else we can do in here,
17:21like PPF down on the kick plates versus GT3?
17:23So if you look at the GT3 RS kick plates we've got here,
17:25we can put a Stealth PPF on those,
17:27with them being matte carbon fibre to protect them.
17:29And that's pretty much it for the inside.
17:31How about the pedals, because they're aluminium?
17:32So we can't put anything on the pedals, unfortunately.
17:35For grip.
17:35Because it's raised, the PPF won't stick properly to it.
17:38The whole point of having aluminium pedals
17:39is they've got a slight texture to them,
17:41which gives you more grip when you go past it.
17:44Okay, got it.
17:44That's what you're going to do for the inside.
17:46What I'm going to do now is leave the car with you,
17:48and I'll come back and see exactly what you've done.
17:51And then we will add some other things to it as well.
17:54Some very special things.
17:56Okay, so it's two weeks later.
17:58I am back at Onyx, and my car is done,
18:00and I'm going to see it for the first time.
18:02So come on, let's do this.
18:03I am super excited.
18:06Which way did I go?
18:07Did I go satin?
18:08Did I go just gloss?
18:09Here he is, here's the man.
18:10Here's Harry.
18:11How are you doing?
18:12Are you all right?
18:13Good, you?
18:13Yeah, I'm excited and nervous.
18:15I bet.
18:16It's all finished,
18:16and you've done some extra bits to it as well, haven't you?
18:18I guess you've stopped messing around
18:19and just get the cover off it, right?
18:21Definitely.
18:21Okay, go on, you do the honours.
18:23I'll stand at the front,
18:24and you'll get to see my reaction.
18:25Right then, Harry.
18:26There he is.
18:27There's the man.
18:28Let's take the covers off.
18:29So we've gone for...
18:32Whoa!
18:34Yes!
18:35Yes!
18:36Absolutely f***ing yes!
18:39I'd say you're happy, Matt.
18:40Yes!
18:41Oh my God!
18:43Oh, just come here!
18:45F***!
18:48I almost fell over in there.
18:49Yeah, I can tell.
18:51Now, we've got the number plate covered up
18:52because there's a reason for that,
18:53but first of all, I've got to take this in.
18:56You've probably noticed the gold decals.
18:59Wow!
19:00I haven't even seen the rear yet.
19:01No, this is going to be my favourite bit.
19:03Look at that.
19:06I love it with the Porsche logo.
19:07That looks cool.
19:08What do you think of the gold stickers?
19:10It definitely works for the wheels.
19:11So it was Andres Prodinga who said,
19:13oh, you should get the gold decals,
19:15and I think he's right.
19:16What was the hardest bit on it?
19:17You'd say the wing.
19:18So I did do the hardest bit.
19:19Yeah, I did give you the hardest panel.
19:21Just the stretch of it.
19:22Yeah, well, you've got to start somewhere, haven't you?
19:23Might as well start at the top.
19:25So, yeah, so we've got XBEL Stealth on the paintwork.
19:28You've got XBEL Ultimate Plus on the carbon fibre.
19:30It feels like...
19:31Yeah, so it's all ceramic coated as well.
19:33That feels so much smoother than before.
19:35Would the Stealth have covered that anyway?
19:37No.
19:38Have you PPF'd the lights?
19:40Headlights have all got PPF.
19:41Brilliant.
19:42Wow, I'm loving this.
19:44I'm loving it so much.
19:45This looks amazing.
19:47It looks so much better in Stealth.
19:48It's like having a second hand over all over again.
19:50Do you know what?
19:51This is really bizarre.
19:52I'm almost more excited about this.
19:54Yeah, because at least you can drive it to there as well.
19:56I can drive it and it's done.
19:58It is done.
19:59I almost went with black calipers,
20:01but now I really like the yellow and the gold
20:03and everything all working together.
20:04I can't believe how well the chap did on these decals.
20:07Thank you, chap.
20:08Decal chap.
20:09Rappist you.
20:10Rappist you.
20:12Rappist you, you legend.
20:14Oh, yeah.
20:16So you've had the end plates painted in GT silver.
20:18Look at that.
20:19Then we've sat in PPF.
20:19Because before, they were black.
20:22Looks so much better.
20:23Yeah, 100%.
20:24I don't know why they didn't do that from factory.
20:26Shall we jump inside and talk through what you did in there?
20:30PPF-wise.
20:30So what have you done in here?
20:32All the Alcantara is coated.
20:33We've got...
20:34What with?
20:34What do you coat it with?
20:35So it's a fabric coating.
20:36Then we've got PPF on the gloss black sensor console.
20:39So don't scratch this.
20:40Exactly.
20:41Well, I can scratch it, but it doesn't matter.
20:42It doesn't matter.
20:42So we can just take it off.
20:43Wow.
20:44And on here?
20:45Yeah, on here, which is obviously really kind of...
20:47That's very easy to mark there.
20:48And then the roll cage has all been coated.
20:50We've got a couple of pieces of PPF where the harness belts are.
20:55Okay.
20:55So you put some PPF there where it's just mounted.
20:58I thought that when you coated this, it would feel different,
21:00but it doesn't.
21:01Do you do anything to the screen?
21:02So that screen, no, they don't do any templates for that.
21:04But the actual screen, the multimedia console, you've got to do that.
21:09I've got to peel it off.
21:11Is there anything we need to know about the exterior?
21:12What was...
21:13You said the wing was difficult.
21:14Any other bits?
21:15We've done a lot of 911s, so most of it carries over.
21:18There are a few different pieces, like rear bumper is quite technical.
21:21It's a lot of stretch on it, and especially going around the aero work
21:23makes it very difficult.
21:24What's the time difference, like percentage-wise?
21:27You're doing an RS compared to a normal 911?
21:30Maybe another few hours.
21:31It's not massive.
21:32Oh, right.
21:33Okay.
21:33I can't believe how insanely good it looks.
21:36Shall we do this screen?
21:37Yeah, of course.
21:38Right.
21:39We have two options up there.
21:42So we've got gloss and stealth.
21:44And first thing, I've got to remove this.
21:46Very satisfying moment.
21:47It is, isn't it?
21:47Let's do it.
21:48Mm-mm-mm.
21:51Oh.
21:53Ooh.
21:56Ah.
21:58That's nice.
21:59That's a bit weird.
22:03I don't really want to spray the stuff on there.
22:06Can I just, like, stick it on without it?
22:08You can try.
22:09I'd love to see that.
22:10Oh, let's do that, then.
22:13That doesn't look very good, does it?
22:16No, I don't think I want stealth anyway.
22:18No.
22:19Let's just get some of these bubbles out.
22:20It doesn't match that one.
22:21That's the only problem.
22:22I know what you mean, yeah.
22:23Like, if you look across there, yeah, I know there's loads of bubbles and stuff
22:26in it, so it didn't look great.
22:27And it's darkened it down a bit.
22:28I meant to do that anyway.
22:29I didn't really want that on there.
22:30Look, look.
22:31We don't need that.
22:33Look.
22:34Yeah, no, no.
22:35That looks way better.
22:36Yeah, let's go with that.
22:37I thought that might be the case.
22:38You're probably going to use this, aren't you?
22:40Yeah, just a mist.
22:41See, that's why I didn't want to use it, because I thought I'd use too much.
22:44So I'd end up, like, knackering the infotainment system.
22:47Right, and let's have a look.
22:49Yeah, I got it all wrong, didn't I?
22:51Just a little bit.
22:53You'd probably soak it.
22:54It's literally just the tiniest mist of that.
22:56Looks done to me.
22:57So what is the solution again?
22:58Johnson's Baby Lotion with some water.
23:01There are other brands you can use.
23:03Oh, now I'm going to call them for an ad integration.
23:06Perfect.
23:07That looks good.
23:08Shall we turn it on and have a look?
23:10Yeah, that's good.
23:11There are some other things to reveal, though.
23:13Let's go do that.
23:15So the first thing I want to talk about are the wheels.
23:18You've done something special to these, haven't you?
23:20So, Matt, the wheels have got a ceramic coating on them.
23:22It's basically just to protect against chemical staining.
23:24I'm not sure you're going to take it to a local car wash.
23:27No.
23:28Probably not.
23:29Say you did, it would just give you that little bit of protection.
23:31I mean, these sense lock wheel nuts are really, really easy to damage.
23:33They can literally turn white with a few poor car washes.
23:35What is the benefit of ceramic coating?
23:37What does it do?
23:38PPF is designed to protect the paint.
23:40Coating is designed to make it easy for you to wash.
23:42Yes!
23:43That's what I want.
23:45Now, there is just one more thing.
23:47Now, you might have noticed there's some paper over the front number plate.
23:51I call it a plate. It's not actually a plate.
23:52It's a sticker underneath there.
23:53I didn't want the bumper drilled.
23:54Yeah, I didn't want to drill it.
23:55It's so mad that people do that.
23:56Definitely ruins the front end of it.
23:58It really, really does.
23:59Anyway, I've got myself a personalised plate.
24:01Harry, will you do the honours and remove your paper?
24:05This isn't going to be straightforward.
24:07You've actually wrapped it up pretty well.
24:08I'm not very good at wrapping Christmas presents.
24:10This is where you're going to pull the plate off
24:12because of the sticker on it.
24:13This would be so funny if you did that.
24:14Oh, please don't.
24:18Yay!
24:19Look at that!
24:21It's front number plate.
24:22Just ignore the T.
24:23Maybe this should be a GT, but still pretty good.
24:26Do you know what? I've actually been on regtransfers.co.uk,
24:28just looking at other options,
24:30and I've found some really cool ones,
24:32and I'm always umming and ahhing.
24:33I found another one, actually, which I quite like,
24:35which is Me Is Matt.
24:37I quite like that, so I think I might get that for one of my other cars.
24:40More on that car in another video.
24:42Make sure you subscribe, actually.
24:43Yes, I bought another car,
24:45and maybe I'll get that plate for it.
24:46Excellent, excellent work.
24:48It's amazing what you and your team have done with this car.
24:50The decals, the attention to detail, the service.
24:53Absolutely amazing, and I am over the moon with the result.
24:57It just looks amazing.
