00:00Following the back out of a local partner of Miru Systems,

00:04Transparency is now the demand of a group related to the split of those in its joint venture.

00:11As for their intention, who will be the one to join this fight?

00:17Mark Salazar has the answer.

00:21The Civil Society Group Right to Know Right Now Coalition is concerned

00:27that the vote may be chosen to back out one of the three Filipino partners

00:32in the joint venture with Miru of Korea.

00:35The one who backed out was St. Timothy Construction Corporation

00:39who is now in charge of the credit line in case the joint venture needs a fund.

00:44Who will join the financing that is still in the air?

00:50Especially since St. Timothy has already left.

00:52Funds have been disbursed, a big part of the P17.9 billion

00:58and the ballot is about to be printed.

01:01The group is asking for documents to see the share of the work and expenses of each in the joint venture.

01:08The financial records are more detailed and the 60 to 40 ownership rule is divided in the head.

01:16As of now, they have nothing to talk about.

01:19That's why we're telling Comelec, keep everything out, put everything out there.

01:24And for the Miru JV, talk to us. Where are you?

01:28We can't see where they are.

01:30The office said that Miru is not there.

01:33But are we talking to a phantom joint venture here?

01:37In a statement, Miru and the two remaining Filipino partners said

01:42that they have submitted a new net financial contracting capacity,

01:46a document showing their liquidity.

01:49They are asking Comelec to follow up and fulfill their contract for the 2025 elections.

01:57They have already shown their ability to do this.

02:01As of now, more than 78,000 of the 110,000 automated counting machines have already been delivered.

02:09Their commitment to transparency and inclusivity in delivering the remaining requirements remains.

02:17As for their office, Miru said that they used to be in Quezon City,

02:21but they moved to Manila to be closer to Comelec

02:25on their request for easier coordination and communication.

02:31Miru also said that even if the Philippine company St. Timothy withdraws,

02:36the joint venture is still 60% Filipino-owned

02:41because the former shares of St. Timothy have been transferred to another partner.

02:46The coalition will wait for six months, according to the Freedom of Information Act,

02:52for the documents to be issued by the Miru Joint Venture.

02:56After the 15 working days, we will be exhausting all our possible remedies,

03:02including judicial remedies if necessary.
