00:00The Commission on Human Rights of Calderillera is now in the process of investigating the case of

00:05Umanoy Caliwat Kanang Patayan in the province of Abra,

00:09particularly the politicians and candidates for the next Hatol ng Bayan 2025.

00:25The Commission on Human Rights of Calderillera is now in the process of investigating the case of Umanoy Caliwat Kanang Patayan in the province of Abra,

00:34particularly the politicians and candidates for the next Hatol ng Bayan 2025.

00:40According to the CHR, Fidigan Vice Mayor Noel Vizares is the last case of the shooting incident that happened on September 12, 2024.

00:50Vizares was saved from the incident and was shot in his upper limb.

00:54After being treated, he was able to go home.

00:57The Commission on Human Rights of Calderillera was also able to arrest former Dolores Sangguniang Bayan member Gregorio Castillo

01:04through a riding in tandem on September 1.

01:07Former Banakaw Barangay Chairman Marcelo Banayos was also there,

01:11along with his nephew, Johnson Blanes, who was saved from being shot.

01:17The CHR ordered a quick investigation of the authorities on the alleged cases.

01:21The CHR also gave the case of the shooting a serious warning of its reliability and peace in the upcoming elections.

01:30It's mandatory in the office to investigate the same.

01:33As part of that, we dispatched an investigation team to conduct the investigation.

01:42And they are preparing the reports, particularly in the case.

01:46However, the official of the agency explained that there is no politically motivated reason for the shooting incident.

02:4011 were declared as cleared.

02:43The resolved cases are shamed and one is still under investigation.

02:47We investigated almost all the incidents of deaths and we were able to file a case.

02:55We were also able to catch some of the suspects.

02:59That's the good thing.

03:04At least we were able to file cases against the suspects in these incidents, except for the one that is still under investigation.

03:11According to the Procar, Lalawigan will strictly monitor the midterm elections in 2025.

03:18We are focused on Abra.

03:21Actually, before the filing of the Certificate of Candidacy, we already implemented the Censura in Abra.

03:28We implemented seven, plus other checkpoints and police response.

03:36We also confiscated more than 10 guns.

03:42We were able to catch some of the suspects.
