(Adnkronos) - Due giorni di confronto a Roma tra istituzioni, associazioni delle famiglie, terzo settore, associazioni della cooperazione sociale e organizzazioni sindacali
Transcript
00:00Great participation and enthusiasm in Rome for the first day of the Caregiver and Social Inclusion.
00:06The event, organized by the Lazio Region, is strongly wanted by the advisor Massimiliano Maselli.
00:11Helping family caregivers, helping those who take care of the most vulnerable,
00:16means being close to people, being able to support them and being able to recognize them in their right
00:23to have a free, independent and dignified life.
00:27The Lazio Region is doing an extraordinary job with the advisor Massimiliano Maselli on social policies,
00:33on inclusion, in making accessible to all this region the services that can be offered
00:41both in the social field and in the health field.
00:44The Caregiver Law is a particularly important and significant example.
00:50We hope to be able to do it also at the national level.
00:53There are more than 25,000 people who dedicate themselves to their loved ones
00:58and must have the possibility to be supported and to feel supported by the Region.
01:0460% of these people are women.
01:07It is important to give this sign of attention also to allow not only to dedicate themselves
01:13to those who may have a particular need, but also not to lose opportunities with study, with work.
01:20Therefore, this law is a step forward that goes in the direction of greater inclusion
01:26to repair important social fractures.
01:29This is the goal that we will have for the whole of the legislature.
01:32We will continue to carry it with the same determination to give answers to all those who are in a condition of fragility.
01:38This law, which was passed in the Regional Council in April 2024,
01:43is the Law No. 5, which provides for a grant of 15 million euros in 2024-2026
01:52and establishes the fundamental role that the caregiver must have in the network of social policies.
02:00The listening that institutions must give on a fundamental line for home care,
02:05for a very important role such as that of the caregiver,
02:08is at the base of these two days of confrontation, where institutions are here to listen,
02:13but above all to be able to make summaries, to give adequate answers to a real and urgent problem
02:19for the many families of our regional territory.
02:22Today we are celebrating the caregiver.
02:27It is a law approved by unanimity, majority and opposition,
02:32which puts the person at the center and makes the caregivers the protagonists.
02:38The caregivers are those who will take care of their relatives.
02:43A family problem is emerging, which, thank God, now with this law,
02:48which reiterates that we voted unanimously, even with an applause here,
02:54this is part of the good politics that we all want to conform to.
03:00The project was financed by the Region of Lazio with a funding of 750,000 euros for one year,
03:06an experimental project that involves the hiring of 20 users
03:10to follow projects of social-employment inclusion,
03:13in general through the definition of life paths of users,
03:18therefore not simply a service, but an adaptation to the needs of the user taken in its globality.
