00:00What's up guys, today we will be revisiting the iPhone 13 in 2024
00:05Fantastic device for anybody who is an iPhone fan
00:09So let's go ahead and jump into this
00:12I think the thing that is going to stick out the most with this phone is that
00:15It should have about 3 to 4 more years of iOS updates
00:20Which is really nice as well
00:22And the thing about this phone is that it is a little bit on the pricier side
00:27Compared to older flagships here
00:30It's around $380 so it's kind of up there with the Note 20 Ultra and S21 Ultra
00:35So you're going to pay a little bit of money for this phone
00:37But I think it's definitely worth it as we go through the phone
00:40Now I want to talk about the hardware here
00:43You still have some really beautiful hardware on here
00:47You have your mute vibration switch which Apple got rid of for the action button
00:51But what's interesting about this phone in particular
00:55Is that it still looks just like an iPhone 15 from the back
01:00Still has the same camera cutout
01:03And yeah it really looks like an iPhone 15 still
01:06And yeah it's a very nice looking phone to look at for sure
01:09Glass and metal device, it is IP68 dust and water resistant of course
01:14And yeah I just really like the color of this phone too
01:17The blue color is really nice as well
01:20And yeah so it's a little bit boxy
01:23These sort of you know the 13, 14, 12 even
01:29They have that sort of boxy shape, sort of sharp
01:32So it's not super super comfortable phone to hold
01:35You can put a case on of course it'll take some of that you know cutting in the palm away
01:40But other than that I mean this is a really nice looking phone
01:44I mean it looks like I said exactly like the newer iPhones
01:48Alright so let's talk about the display on the iPhone 13
01:51It's a fantastic display, it's the Apple XDR OLED display
01:551200 nits peak brightness so it does decent outdoors
01:58It's a 6.1 inch phone so it's not a super super big phone
02:02It's 1170 by 2532 and it's 460 for the PPI here
02:08And overall it's a really nice display for the most part here
02:12And I think the biggest thing that stood out to me with this panel in particular
02:16Is that it is a 60hz panel so it just goes to show how kind of behind Apple was
02:22Because if you're coming from an Android device with 120hz
02:25Yeah you will notice like it is a little bit
02:28It doesn't feel as smooth as 120hz or even a 90hz phone
02:32If you're coming from an iPhone like an 11, 10s
02:36You probably will notice that it feels a little bit faster
02:39So that's the thing it depends on you know which phone you're coming from
02:43And also the notch up top
02:45Like I said it looks dated if you're coming from an Android phone
02:49But if you're coming from an older iPhone it looks fine
02:52Apple didn't really get rid of the notch until
02:55What was it the iPhone 15
02:57So it just depends but
03:00The notch is fine once you look at it you kind of
03:03You forget about it but yeah
03:05It does look a little bit dated depending on where you're coming from
03:09Alright and just touching on gaming performance
03:11This thing is going to be a beast
03:12It's running the Apple A15 chip
03:14And yeah it's absolutely fantastic
03:17It's got 128 gigs of internal storage
03:20And 4 gigs of RAM which I think is a little bit low
03:22But I haven't had this phone like close out any applications
03:25Or anything like that
03:26So you could run into that if you're like a really heavy power user
03:30Apps closing out
03:31But so far I've been having a lot of stuff open
03:33And haven't had any issues
03:35But yeah performance wise I haven't noticed the phone really heating up
03:39Or anything like that while playing games
03:41It's just a really fast phone
03:43So whether you are just trying to do intensive stuff
03:47Editing, playing video games
03:49This is a pretty good phone to game on
03:51Like I said it's really really smooth
03:53For the most part here
03:55And I'll show you guys the Geekbench scores
03:58But as you guys can see it's crazy smooth
04:01Running PUBG
04:03Unfortunately this phone could probably do the
04:05You know the 90 frames or whatever
04:08If it had the high refresh rate
04:10Let me go ahead and show you guys

04:20So it's a really fast phone if you want to go ahead and compare these scores
04:25Very very fast when opening applications up
04:28And stuff like that
04:29Really really smooth phone for the most part
04:32It feels pretty much on par with the iPhone 15 honestly
04:35Let's check out these speakers at max volume
04:38Let's go
05:08They sound really good
05:09Really great bass quality on here
05:11Really balanced speakers on here
05:13Sound excellent
05:14And of course this phone is running Face ID
05:16And it works flawlessly
05:18Very fast
05:19No issues with that
05:20Now I think the next best thing
05:22Besides the chipset on here
05:24Is actually the cameras
05:25I was really surprised at how good the
05:27Image quality was
05:29On this phone
05:30Even compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max
05:32It still takes some really good photos
05:34I would say even somewhat close
05:36It's got a 12MP standard
05:38And a 12MP ultra wide on here
05:40It shoots in 4K 60
05:42And then you also have a 12MP selfie
05:44That also shoots in 4K 60 as well
05:47You have the cinematic mode on here as well too
05:50Which is really cool
05:51And the photos on here are absolutely fantastic guys
05:54Really good dynamic range
05:56Great detail
05:57I like the selfie cam
05:59Good detail with that too
06:00And yeah I had no issues at all with image quality
06:04Like I said
06:05If you're looking for a pretty good camera phone
06:07And a really good video phone
06:09To take videos and stuff with
06:11This is a really good option as well too
06:13You can see the pictures for yourself
06:15Just really good detail
06:16Pretty accurate colors on here
06:18The only thing that I was missing with this phone
06:21Is any type of 3x telephoto lens
06:25Which you would typically get with like a
06:27S23 or S22
06:29The competitors when this phone came out
06:32That's the only thing
06:33It just has the ultra wide
06:34Which is great
06:35It has really good quality
06:36And I really like it
06:38But yeah that was the only thing I was kind of missing
06:40Now you can do the digital zoom
06:41But you might lose a bit of quality
06:43Depending on how far you zoom
06:45So yeah
06:46I really like the cameras
06:47Like I said
06:48Top notch video
06:49Excellent
06:50Excellent cameras
06:51Alright let's talk about the battery life on this phone
06:53So I still have 100% battery health
06:55On this phone
06:57And it does fantastic with battery life
06:59It's really good
07:00Even though the battery is still pretty small
07:02On here it's a 3240 mAh battery
07:05It does have the wireless magsafe charging as well too
07:08And it does have standard wireless charging as well
07:13It's a really good phone when it comes to screen on time
07:16I haven't had this phone really die on me in a day
07:19Battery life is like I said
07:20It's pretty solid
07:21If you keep your battery health up
07:23Yeah so no issues at all with battery life
07:26So overall
07:27This is a fantastic phone
07:28Like I said
07:29If you're buying a used refurbished phone
07:31And you want something that has a good camera
07:34You know
07:35Pretty good display
07:36Minus no high refresh rate
07:38The chipset is absolutely crazy fast on here as well too
07:41It's a really fast phone
07:43Somewhat compact like I said
07:45These days as well
07:46Being at 6.1 inches
07:48And it just looks great
07:49It looks like a new iPhone
07:51Like an iPhone 1450
