00:00What's up guys, today we're going to be talking about the iPhone 11.
00:05You guys have been asking me questions about this phone and I've really been loving this
00:09phone.
00:10When I got it, it was around $400, but like I was saying, as we get through this year,
00:15the price has been coming down and you can easily find this phone on Amazon for around
00:19$350.
00:20This is the, not $350, $338.
00:24This is the one that I got and this purple one, you have them in a variety of colors
00:30actually too.
00:31You can get it in green, purple, red, white, yellow.
00:34This is a fantastic phone, especially for the price now that it keeps coming down and
00:38as we get closer to the iPhone 14, this phone will come down tremendously in price.
00:44This is really one of Apple's best budget options that you can get.
00:47It's between the iPhone 11 and the iPhone XS.
00:50I would get this over the iPhone SE 2022 any day.
00:55It's a much better phone and it's cheaper.
00:57Yes, it doesn't have 5G, but if you can live without the 5G, this just makes more sense.
01:03All right, so let's go ahead and just go over it briefly here.
01:08One of the best things about the iPhone 11 is for an older flagship, it actually still
01:11has a fantastic design.
01:13Remember, this phone came out in 2019 and I think the design on here is actually better
01:19than the newer iPhones like the iPhone 13s because the iPhone 13 has really sharp edges
01:25and this one has a more curved edge, so it just feels more comfortable in the hand.
01:29It's just a way more comfortable feeling phone.
01:31It's also made out of premium materials here.
01:34It is a glass and aluminum frame on here and it's just really, really nice.
01:40The weight of the phone is also pretty good too.
01:42It's not a super heavy phone at all and I just love the look of this phone.
01:46It just looks really awesome.
01:48Now, even though the iPhone 11 doesn't have the OLED display like the iPhone 10s, this
01:55phone does have a fairly nice display.
01:57So it's a 6.1 inch display.
01:59It is an IPS retina display and it is only 720p plus and then 326 for the PPI.
02:06It's still a fairly sharp panel to the eye, so that's not really my issue.
02:12My issue is that the display on here, yeah, it's not 1080p and it's not OLED, but it still
02:17looks really good.
02:18It's a fairly bright display as well too.
02:20I think most people really won't have an issue with this panel.
02:24There really is no complaints besides it not being an OLED display.
02:29As far as the size, I think this is big enough for a lot of people as well too and it's fairly
02:34compact.
02:36In a world where we have phones that are basically 6.8 inches, your average flagship like the
02:43S21 Ultra, you can see the iPhone pretty much can almost fit in the display up here.
02:48You can see phones are just very big these days and the iPhone, it is fairly kind of
02:52compact so if you have smaller hands, this display is fairly easy to reach.
02:58Overall, the display is fine.
03:00Honestly, for the price, there's really not anything to complain about here.
03:04So I think one of the best things about the iPhone 11 is that it has an extremely powerful
03:08chip and it's still to this day.
03:10It has the Apple A13 chip in here and it is just blazing fast.
03:15On top of that, this phone will get iOS 16 and honestly, if you buy this phone, you most
03:19likely will get updates for at least another four years so that is going to be really awesome
03:24as well too.
03:25But as far as performance wise, if you're a gamer, you're able to get some pretty good
03:29gaming settings on this phone.
03:31You can see we're able to run PUBG at HDR Extreme on here and I find that this phone
03:36does a fairly good job with any game that I throw at it whether it be PUBG, whether
03:40it be Call of Duty, whether it be Apex.
03:44It's able to play them all at a pretty good high setting and you get minimum lag and really
03:50just with the iPhone 11 in general here, just bouncing in and out of applications and stuff
03:55like that, it's a fairly fast phone.
03:58You guys can see from the Geekbench scores here, it does a fantastic job with performance
04:04as well too.
04:05So that is one of the things about these older flagship phones is that you get excellent
04:08performance but you also are paying a fairly cheap price.
04:13So for $300, even like let's say the Pixel 6a, it's a new mid-range, it's going to cost
04:20you around $450, well instead of getting a mid-range phone, and this is just standard,
04:28I'm not picking on the Pixel 6a, I like this phone, but look, it's still able to outperform
04:33even this phone that has the Google Tensor chip.
04:37So just to give you an idea of how fast the iPhone 11 still is.
04:41Now the iPhone 11 does have an IP68 dust and water resistant rating, so you are able to
04:46get this phone wet with no problem.
04:48It's got 64 gigs of internal storage on here and 4 gigs of RAM.
04:51So the phone does fairly fine with multitasking and stuff like that.
04:55You're able to keep a lot of applications open and they won't reset, which is really
05:00nice.
05:01Also this phone does have NFC with Apple Pay and you do have wireless charging on here
05:05and you do have the Face ID on here as well too, which works flawlessly.
05:11You also have some fairly loud stereo speakers on this phone as well too.
05:35So the top speaker is able to put in a fairly amount of work, it's giving me good bass.
05:44So even if you block this speaker, the bottom one, you still get some pretty good bass quality
05:52and very loud sound out of the iPhone 11 speaker.
05:55So like I said, it's a pretty featured pack, it has a lot to offer and like I said, with
06:00the new iOS 16 update, it'll breathe a lot of life into this phone as well too.
06:05Alright, so let's go ahead and talk about the cameras on here.
06:08Are the cameras on the iPhone 11 still good?
06:10And the answer is yes.
06:11These are actually some really good cameras.
06:14So you do have a dual camera setup, it's a 12 megapixel standard and then it's a 12 megapixel
06:19ultrawide.
06:20It shoots in 4K 24 through 60 frames, it does have HDR and then you have a 12 megapixel
06:26selfie cam that also shoots in 4K 24 through 60 and it does have HDR as well too.
06:33Basically the iPhone 11 is going to give you some fairly good shots, very good color science
06:38on here.
06:39You're also going to get pretty good dynamic range on here, very good selfies on here as
06:43well too.
06:45Basically it's going to perform really well in well-lit areas to medium-lit areas.
06:52The only place where this phone could possibly struggle is in low-light nighttime shots.
06:59It's not going to be as good as the newer phones, it's something that I noticed.
07:03But if you're just taking regular shots, this phone is still going to be fantastic.
07:08Like I said, you take it out of well-lit areas or sort of, it can even go in medium-lit areas.
07:15But if you put it in low-light, I noticed the shots can get a little bit soft, a little
07:20bit grainy.
07:22But other than that, it's a fairly good shooter, so I have zero issues with that.
07:26And also I thought the video was really nice on here too.
07:29Very clean and very smooth video, good dynamic range for that as well too.
07:33All right, so lastly I want to go ahead and talk about the battery life on here.
07:38This phone does have fairly good battery life and I get asked about heat on this phone as
07:43well too.
07:44It doesn't really get hot for me.
07:46If you game a lot, yeah, it can get a little bit warm, but it's nowhere near as hot as
07:50some of these newer phones that are coming out.
07:53That can literally just start, you know, it just makes you uncomfortable.
07:57So it's not like that.
07:59This phone does have a 3,110 milliamp battery, but you're still able to get around six hours
08:03of screen on time with this phone, which is fairly good here.
08:07If you're using your phone a little bit harder, then yes, you could probably squeeze around
08:11five hours of screen on time out of here.
08:14But for the most part, it should last you, you know, a day.
08:18And also, you know, you're picking these phones that are refurbished, typically on Amazon,
08:22I never got anything, you shouldn't never get anything under 80% battery health.
08:28But this is 87% and I'm still getting fairly good screen on time.
08:33But if you do decide to get it on eBay, always ask the seller about the battery health before
08:38you buy it because, you know, they could give you a phone that's battery is trashed, right?
08:42If it's any, if it's under 80, then it's going to be bad.
08:45I would typically aim for like 84 and up.
08:48All right, so that is pretty much it, guys.
08:51I think this is a fairly good buy.
08:52Like I said, it's just a more attractive option than the iPhone SE 2022 that you would pay
08:57$450 for.
08:59Yeah, so it's just a great option all around.
09:03I don't really have any, you know, cons with this phone at this price point.
