00:00What's up guys so I had a request to do the updated comparison of the Note 10
00:05Plus versus the Note 20 Ultra so if you guys do have a Note 10 Plus and you're
00:10looking to upgrade you want to just a newer phone and you don't want to lose
00:15like your SD card support this is a great option definitely to consider or
00:19if you guys have either of these there is like a $150 difference with these two
00:24phones because the Note 10 Plus it ranges from $250 to $300 in the USA and
00:30the Note 20 Ultra is pretty solid at like $400 so yeah so you might want to
00:36pay that difference to upgrade or you might want to just pay the extra money
00:39to get the Note 20 Ultra so it just really depends on you know the specs do
00:44you care about the specs upgrade here alright so let's go ahead and get
00:47started I'm gonna talk about the build quality of these two phones let me get a
00:52quick wipe down real quick here these are two pretty nice looking phones in my
00:57opinion I really like the note or a glow color I really wish Samsung would bring
01:03that back it's just very cool to look at and then the Note 20 Ultra I think it
01:07still looks pretty modern still pretty good a lot of people don't like this
01:10camera module you know because you can see it gets a lot of dust around and
01:14stuff like that but you know that's pretty much the trend these days with
01:18the you know modern phones big cameras and they're both IP68 dust and water
01:23resistant they both have the very boxy design they both have the built-in
01:27stylus they both have SD card support and yeah they both are just very big
01:33phones definitely so they both look good feel good you know in the hand have a
01:38nice weight to them as well alright so let's start off with I think one of the
01:42biggest differences with these two phones are the displays so it's not a
01:47big big difference but it has this one essential difference so the note 10 plus
01:51has a 6.8 inch display it's a dynamic AMOLED HDR 10 plus and it is a 1440p
01:57display it is 498 for the PPI but it's a 60 Hertz panel now the note the note 20
02:05ultra it has the pretty much the same specs but it's a 6.9 inch display still
02:111440p still super high PPI but the note 20 ultra has a 120 Hertz so again
02:18dynamic AMOLED all that good stuff 1440p but you have a 120 Hertz basically what
02:24that means is that it just feels much smoother than the note 10 plus when
02:29you're scrolling through applications and stuff like that just the scrolling
02:33now the note 10 plus is very smooth 60 Hertz panel but you'll definitely notice
02:38the difference but there is a catch that you might not like with the note 20
02:42ultra is that the note 20 ultra can only do 120 Hertz at 1080p so it can't do
02:50120 Hertz at 1440p so and typically you know just looking at these two phones
02:56you can kind of tell a little bit of a difference you know the icons don't look
03:01as sharp at 14 at 1080p than they do at 1440p but it still looks good from a
03:08distance only when you kind of like look up close you can see like the note 10
03:12plus just look sharper because this is running you know 1440p right now this is
03:16not but just looking at the icons you can kind of tell it's not as full
03:19resolution um I like the 120 Hertz honestly guys if you've never tried it I
03:24will go into Best Buy just try a phone with 120 Hertz you really really like it
03:29I think it's super smooth I don't think you're ever gonna want to go back to
03:31anything that's 60 Hertz so definitely you get a slightly bigger display and
03:37you do get the 120 Hertz but like I said it really depends you know if you really
03:42care about that or not I talk about the software difference because I think this
03:46is pretty important so the note 10 plus last major OS update was Android 12 when
03:51you are 4.1 and then the note 20 ultra's last update was Android 13 when you are
03:575.5 they're both in security patch stages they will no longer get major OS
04:01updates so that's definitely something to consider but the note 20 ultra will
04:06last slightly longer with security patches of course alright so I do want
04:10to talk about the specs so this is one of the main reasons why you would buy
04:13an older flagship phone so the note 10 plus has a snapdragon 855 chip 256 gigs
04:20of internal storage and then you also have micro SD card support and 12 gigs
04:25of RAM the note 20 ultra has the snapdragon 865 chip micro SD card
04:30support 128 gigs of internal storage and 12 gigs of RAM for the base model so you
04:35do get a better deal with the note 10 plus when it comes to the base model
04:38but this is standard 256 12 and then SD card this is the I think the base model
04:44on here is 128 12 gigs so you get more storage overall now when it comes to
04:51launching applications and stuff like that there's virtually no difference
04:55when it comes to performance for the average person what I will say is that
05:00if you're a gamer I think frame rates are gonna be gaming is just going to be
05:04more efficient slightly more efficient if you're actually serious gamer on the
05:08you know only a 65 chip I think it'll just be a little bit more efficient here
05:15we go ahead and launch pub G they both play pub G at the exact same settings
05:20I'm just saying in the long term I would just go for the more powerful chip if
05:23you're actually serious about gaming now I did drop a full gaming test on both
05:28of these devices and they play virtually the same so I just didn't really have
05:32any hiccups with either of these phones so you can sort of pick any you can
05:36still have a great game experience with you know 10 plus I'm just saying if
05:39you're super serious you know it just go with the the more powerful chip that's
05:42if you're serious about gaming otherwise you don't need to spend that extra money
05:46now as you guys can see here we can play pub G at HDR extreme on the note 10 plus
05:55no problem it's very fast so I have no issues like I said you want to see that
05:59more in depth check out the gaming test and the note 20 ultra does the same
06:04thing oh yeah I forgot the the note 20 ultra plays pub G in 90 frames so it
06:10does play pub G much better like it's just overall just faster and more fluid
06:15so I forgot about that but like they both do a really good job with gaming
06:19but you will have like 90 frames options on the note 10 plus on the note 20 ultra
06:24so that's why I said if you're a serious gamer you're gonna appreciate like them
06:27just better frame rates just more gonna be more accurate for these type of
06:32shooting games and stuff like that or any fast-paced games just gonna look
06:35better in general so definitely if you're into gaming definitely gonna
06:40spend the extra money and go with the note 20 ultra for sure if you don't care
06:44about gaming saving money definitely because this does a great job you know
06:48so let's talk about additional features these two phones have essentially the
06:52same additional features is pretty much nothing different about it Samsung
06:57desktop support is here reverse wireless charging you see here basically all the
07:01one UI features are still here there's really nothing different at all when it
07:06comes to you know the software here yeah I don't see anything different so
07:12definitely the S Pen works pretty much the same the S Pen is a little bit
07:18smoother it feels like but I'm thinking it's mostly because of the 120 Hertz
07:23because it feels a little bit smoother on the note 20 ultra for sure but I'm
07:29thinking it's because you're riding on a 120 Hertz screen
07:35yeah it definitely feels a little bit smoother it's a little bit smoother a
07:40little bit more accurate you can pretty much do digital artwork on both of these
07:44pretty easily so they're both very good very accurate for that but as far as the
07:48features all the same features are still on board on both of these phones so
07:53there's no difference besides the note 20 ultra is a little bit more accurate
07:58all right and you also have let's go ahead and check out these speakers
08:02we'll start off with the note 10 plus
08:40the note 20 ultra but as far as loudness they both pretty much seem on par but I
08:46can feel the bass a little bit more on the note 10 plus so definitely I think I
08:51like to sound a little bit better on the note 10 plus but they're pretty close
08:55when it comes to the quality and let's go ahead and talk about the image
09:01quality all right so here is a pretty big difference with these two phones so
09:05with the note 20 ultra you just have way more zooming capabilities with this
09:09phone so you have a hundred eight megapixel standard so much higher
09:13resolution camera 12 megapixel periscope telephoto just five times zoom and then
09:19you also have a 12 megapixel ultra wide she's an 8k 24 with a 10 megapixel
09:24selfie that also shoots in 4k 60 as you can see you have that 50 times zoom that
09:31you can zoom up to and yeah so if you take a lot of zoom shots you'll really
09:36like the the note 20 ultra plus you just have you know just more beefier
09:41specs on the camera so if you're really into taking photos you really like that
09:45with the note 10 the note 10 plus it's a 12 megapixel standard a 12 megapixel
09:50telephoto 16 megapixel ultra wide 0.3 depth sensor 4k 60 on the front and back
09:56with a 10 megapixel selfie so as you can see the numbers aren't as crazy no 108
10:01megapixel no crazy zoom this goes up to you know like 10 times zoom so you do
10:07have just like crazy zoom on the note 20 ultra in if you put it in the 108
10:11megapixel mode it just takes way sharper photos but I'll take some side-by-side
10:17still so you guys can see I don't think the image quality is too far off but like
10:21I said if you're really into cameras again this is a pretty nice phone to
10:24take pictures with
10:31you
11:01all right here is the note 20 ultra guys it's a 0.5 you have five times in as
11:21well here's a note 10 plus and it's 0.5 it's 2x
11:38now I was being asked about the fingerprint scanners there's really
11:43virtually no difference with the fingerprint scanners on these phones
11:46it's an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner they work exactly the same you also have
11:51face unlock if you don't want to mess with the fingerprint scanner but they
11:54work you know pretty much the same here alright so next we are going to talk
11:58about battery life I actually did a drain test so there's virtually no
12:02difference when it comes to the battery performance on these phones they both
12:07are roughly going to get around six hours of screen on time and these are
12:10refurbished models both of these guys so again just for spec sake on the note 10
12:17plus you have 4300 milliamp battery 45 watt charging 15 watt wireless charging
12:22and reverse wireless charging and on the note 20 ultra it's pretty much the same
12:284500 milliamp battery but you actually have a slower charging speed which I
12:32thought was weird this one charges much faster so this one the note 20 ultra has
12:36a 25 watt charging compared to the 45 watt so I thought that was interesting
12:41and then you have the same wireless reverse wireless charging and again
12:45pretty much no difference when it comes to battery life on these two phones they
12:49pretty much drain the same alright guys so that's pretty much it be sure to let
12:53me know what you guys think and I'll catch you guys in the next one
