00:00What's up guys, so let's go ahead and talk about some of the three most popular flagship phones out right now
00:06I've been using these phones for
00:08quite a bit and
00:10Let's go ahead and just talk about my experience the pros and cons if any of you guys are thinking about picking up the latest
00:16Flagship the pixel 7 pro s 23 ultra and the 14 pro max
00:19These are kind of like the big three here in the United States as far as like the top
00:25flagships and
00:26Let's go ahead and just get into it and I'm gonna kick it off with the price because the pixel comes in at a really
00:31Good price actually the cheapest flagship that you can get here. It's actually a $900 phone
00:37Compared to the s 23 ultra which is a $1,200 phone and again
00:41This is without any trade-ins or anything like that
00:43I just a straight-up prices that they announced and then the iPhone is a $1,100 phone
00:50So again pixel offering a lot for you know
00:54Very cheap as I want to talk about the display experience
00:57With these three phones and the s 23 ultra I want to go ahead and just give it as props as having
01:03I think one of the best displays that you can get on a smartphone. They really nailed it this year
01:08They took away the aggressive curve. It is still curved, but it's a very minimal curve and
01:13It's just made it like a really really good display. It's very boxy
01:18slim bezels very small punch hole it's
01:211,750 nits peak brightness actually the iPhone is actually technically brighter. It's 2,000 nits peak brighter
01:28But the iPhone has a bigger punch hole
01:31So that's why I say it's really
01:33One of the best displays that you can get and like I said it almost feels like a little mini TV screen
01:39As well the pixel has a really good display iPhone has a really good display as well, too
01:43They're all 1440p displays. They're all 120 Hertz as well, too
01:48But like I said, I would definitely give it to the galaxy
01:51Just having the really small punch hole. It's super bright and it just feels like sort of like a mini TV
01:57You can see even compared to the pixel
01:59Slimmer bezels at the bottom and I know this is very like nitpicky. But again slimmer bezels just really small punch hole
02:07It is really a top-tier display for media consumption
02:11and then I would say Apple is still kind of lacking in this department because I'm
02:16Personally not a big fan of the dynamic island, but it doesn't seem to be very useful
02:22And again, it's it sort of acts like a little multitasking tray
02:26But again, you know, I think Apple needs to just go ahead
02:29introduce, you know true multitasking on the iPhone and I would say get rid of the
02:34Dynamic island for a punch hole and just put touch ID or under the display fingerprint sensor
02:40So you get a little bit more of the screen back when you're watching content
02:44But yeah, I definitely really like the galaxy's display
02:47This year now, let's go ahead and talk about the OS. So it's pretty interesting
02:51So if you you know, like iPhones you or be really interested in the Apple ecosystem, of course
02:57But I think Samsung has if I was to pick like if I had to like pick a skin
03:02I really like when you why I think Samsung does a really good job with when you I it's super smooth and it has a
03:09lot of
03:10Customization options not just just built into the one you are skin
03:14but you can also go into the galaxy store download an application called good lot and this just it just takes the
03:22Customization to a whole nother level
03:24And just messing with a phone and stuff like that
03:26So that's something that I really like for people who are more
03:30Like you just want a more simple experience of the pixel and iPhone sort of give you that just very simple experience
03:37You're not doing too much crazy multitasking stuff like that
03:39But what's funny is and I say this all the time is a lot of people be surprised with the pixel
03:45Has the smoothest feel to it and let me guys know if you guys own a pixel phone
03:51When they introduced 120 Hertz with the pixel 6 Pro
03:54I was really impressed by the animation and stuff like that. Everything just looks really smooth and just fluid on here
04:02That's the best way I can describe it
04:04So Google when they launched the pixel 6 Pro that phone had a lot of bugs and it was kind of glitchy and stuff
04:10But they really, you know fix that and I'm telling you everything just feels really smooth the animations and everything
04:17Extremely fluid. So every time I pick this phone up and use it. It was a really smooth bouncy experience that
04:24Absolutely love here and I'm telling you it just I don't know why it just feels like it's truly running at like 120 Hertz
04:30And not to say that the iPhone and Galaxy aren't running at 120 Hertz, but I don't know
04:35It's just something about the pixel that feels extremely smooth
04:38so yeah, so
04:40The reason I say why I like One UI so much because I think that it has a couple features that I think are very
04:47Slept on that a lot of people don't really appreciate like the Samsung desktop support
04:51This is a phone that can legitimately turn into like a mini desktop
04:56Experience so you can just plug it up to an external monitor. You can wirelessly beam it to a TV
05:02So you can wirelessly beam Samsung Dex to a TV or something like that and you can get a full desktop experience
05:08So let's say you're you have people over at your house
05:11You want to show them pictures of your phone instead of just passing the phone around?
05:14You can beam it to the TV in a living room or something like that and then just go through your videos and show it
05:19On the big screen. I think it's just really cool the type of stuff that you can do with Samsung Dex
05:23So I absolutely love that and of course with the Apple ecosystem a lot of people typically get iPhones for FaceTime and the iMessage
05:31experience
05:32So, you know if you're really interested in that then you'll really like that
05:35But as far as the operating systems go
05:37I think each has something unique to offer
05:40And another thing about the pixel phones is that when the next version of Android come out?
05:44You are the first to get the beta so when Android 14 came out
05:48You're the first to get the beta software first to test out the new features and stuff like that
05:51And you're the first to get Android 14, which is pretty cool because it's running the stock version of Android
05:57So this is what Android is supposed to look like and feel like
06:00So I I think each you know opera, you know a unique experience
06:06also with the Galaxy devices if you have a Galaxy Note phone or you if you have a
06:12phone with the stylus
06:14You can take advantage of the built-in stylus, which I think is pretty cool
06:17So Samsung has a lot of stuff on here that you can do
06:20One of the things I find myself doing which is extremely therapeutic is
06:25Actually doing the coloring book on on this especially if you like on a flight or something like that
06:30just using this to color and actually you can I've seen people on YouTube use the s23 as a
06:36Like as a digital artwork like doing actual real artwork. That's how accurate the pen is. So it's a very very cool phone
06:44As far as digital artwork or if you just want to navigate with a pen and stuff like that
06:47You really like, you know how that feels but the s pen is just it's just such a good
06:54Device, especially if you are trying to get a social media
06:57It's also able to be able to take video and stills from a distance since it's Bluetooth
07:03So you can be recording from a distance. You can hit the button and it'll take a picture or do video recording
07:10So it's a pretty cool feature. That's why I said the Galaxy is very very useful
07:15I think especially if you are a power user, okay, so I do want to talk about the gaming experience now
07:20I'm not a huge huge gamer
07:23But I do like to play pub G
07:24I do like to play Call of Duty on these phones and if you were somebody that's into gaming
07:30It doesn't matter which phone you pick. They all do gaming really well for the average person
07:36So basically here the gaming experience is really good on all these phones
07:40Now, I think the chipset on the iPhone in the Galaxy is definitely a bit more optimized
07:47You can see I'm able to play pub G at 90 frames on the iPhone and Galaxy the pixel not yet optimized
07:54And again, it could be because it is a newer chip as you can see I can't do 90 frames on here
07:59But like I said, all these phones do a really good job with gaming performance on here and just to go over the specs
08:06For you guys the Galaxy has the snapdragon 8 gen 2 made for Galaxy chip
08:11And then you have no SD card support 256 gigs of internal storage and 8 gigs of RAM
08:16That is the base model and then you also have on the pixel
08:20128 gigs of internal storage 8 gigs of RAM and the Google tensor G 2 chip and then of course on the iPhone
08:27You do have the Apple a16 chip in 6 gigs of RAM
08:31So as far as performance wise they all do a really good job
08:34Like I said, you can see here with the gaming experience the iPhone sort of big punch hole you can see I
08:41Just prefer like the the smaller, you know punch. Oh, it's just a little bit more immersive to me
08:46But these phones do a fantastic job with gaming. Like I said, I think the Galaxy to me
08:51It just seems like it just crushes anything you throw at it
08:55Whether it's this Call of Duty Genshin, whatever you throw out
08:58this phone is really really impressive and not only that but it does not get as hot as the iPhone and
09:05The pixel as well to I noticed that so this phone is super super cool as well, too. So
09:11Just a really really fast phone when it comes to gaming and like I said relatively cool as well, too
09:17I've never had this phone do any frame drops or stutters or crash out anything
09:20It's very impressive what Samsung did this year as far as making this phone fast and not
09:26You know heat up as well, too. Like I said, it's very well optimized chip
09:32All right. So here are the Geekbench scores for you guys that are interested in that you can see the single core and multi-core
09:38this is a Geekbench 5 and
09:40Yeah, so obviously the iPhone is going to do much better because you just have a better chip to software optimization here
09:48But yeah
09:49all these phones really feel fast and actually a lot of people don't know the
09:53Galaxy has a better GPU than the 14 Pro Max as well, too
09:57so it'll actually score higher, but I don't like to get too much in a Geekbench scores and all the
10:03Technical stuff because a lot of people they get into that and they think the experience is gonna be that much better
10:09I could literally pull out a galaxy note 20 ultra that will feel just as fast as the 14 Pro Max in the
10:16S23 and the pixel so for the average person, I won't worry too much about, you know, Geekbench scores and all that good stuff
10:24Just know that these phones are extremely fast
10:27So whether you're trying to game or do whatever on these phones, they're gonna be very very very fast
10:32All right
10:33Let's go ahead and do a speaker test and see which speaker sounds the best all max volume will start with the iPhone
10:46I
11:16I
11:23Really close almost identical
11:46I
11:59Yeah, so the speaker is surprisingly all sound almost similar
12:04They're all very loud and it's very hard to tell which one sounds better because they all sound pretty much the same
12:10I could tell a little bit of a a little bit of a better
12:14Base on the pixel sounds but it's I can definitely tell that the s23 and the iPhone are just a little bit louder
12:21It sounds like the iPhone is hitting a little bit harder as well, too
12:24Because I can feel the vibration a little bit harder on the iPhone as far as the bass quality
12:30Yeah, so they're all very loud. Very very loud speakers with really good bass quality
12:36But I definitely think that s23 and the iPhone have a slight advantage over the pixel just a little bit
12:42Even though I like the way the bass sounds on here. It sounds to me a little bit more clear on the pixel
12:47But excellent speaker quality on all of these guys now
12:51Here's something that I like about the pixel and the s23 is you have two ways to unlock your phone
12:57So you have your in display fingerprint sensor, which is very fast
13:01And then you also can take advantage of the face unlock, but only with the iPhone
13:06They only give you one implementation that is face ID now. It is a superior
13:11You know face ID, you know face unlocking system than the face unlock on here
13:15But you don't have that variety of choice to be able to you know, use your fingerprint
13:21So yeah, so that's one thing that you know, I really like about Android in general. It's the variety of choice there
13:28So let's talk about the photo quality on these phones and which camera do I like the best?
13:33So I personally like the pixels camera the best
13:36I film all my shorts on it and I like the image processing the way it does skin tones
13:42outdoors
13:44this is the phone of choice if I'm gonna go somewhere and I know that I'm taking pictures and
13:49Like I said, I really like the video a lot of people don't like pixel video
13:53Especially compared to the iPhone and Galaxy which I understand but I film all my shorts with it
13:57And I just really like it. So I like the way the the video comes out on this phone
14:02spec wise it's got a
14:0450 megapixel standard 48 megapixel telephoto and that's 5x optical zoom and a 12 megapixel ultrawide
14:10You can shoot in 4k 60 on the front and back has a 10.8
14:15Ultrawide selfie cam on here. And like I said, I prefer this phone for taking pictures
14:19I think Google nailed it with the image processing. I think this phone always wins or
14:24Gets really close to winning in the small the blind smartphone tests for most videos
14:30So I think most people actually prefer the pixels
14:34you know image processing in its shots in general the
14:39Galaxy here has the probably the most impressive camera spec wise. It's got a 200 megapixel camera
14:45So when you take photos with this and you turn that on being able to crop in and not lose the detail is really impressive
14:53It's got a 10 megapixel periscope telephoto on here as well to 10x optical zoom 10 megapixel telephoto 3x optical zoom
15:00So basically this phone is like the king of taking zoom shots. That's a really really impressive
15:04So if you're at a sporting event concert, this phone is absolutely amazing. I mean, it's it's no competition
15:10It's also got a 12 megapixel ultrawide. It can shoot an 8k 30 12 megapixel selfie
15:15It shoots in 4k 60 and you guys know with a hundred times zoom. You can take crazy shots of the moon and
15:22Yes, it's a really impressive camera. I really like the stills
15:25You know, like I said the image processing it's not my favorite compared to the pixel but this would be the second camera
15:33You know that I would prefer
15:35So it's just a really really good phone for taking stills and video
15:39And like I said the zoom shot zoom shots are it's just no comparison on the iPhone
15:44I still think it takes some of the best video in general
15:47But this is really not my favorite phone to take pictures with at all
15:50Especially indoors skin tones always come out grayish and I have to edit the photos
15:56Outdoors is fine. But this is really not my favorite phone to take pictures with at all. I rarely take pictures with
16:01iPhones, so yeah, so not my favorite but the iPhone
16:05It's one of the phones that a lot of people would assume that it would automatically be my favorite since everybody
16:11You know raised about iPhone cameras, but I don't know. It's just compared to the pixel in the galaxy
16:15It's not my favorite phone. It doesn't zoom well
16:18Compared to the galaxy. Like I said as far as skin tones, it doesn't do that as well as the pixel
16:24But I do think it has a pretty
16:27Pretty good advantage in terms of video. It just takes really good video in my opinion
16:3248 megapixel standard on here 12 megapixel telephoto 3x optical zoom 12 megapixel ultra-wide shoots in 4k 60
16:3912 megapixel selfie shoots in 4k 6s. Well, too. So again, it's a really good camera for FaceTime
16:45And I know a lot of people like that
16:47But yeah, so as far as me personally, it's not my favorite camera for taking stills
16:53Yeah, I just prefer these other two phones for sure. Alright guys, I want to talk about the battery life experience
16:59and which is the best out of all these phones and to
17:04Everyone's surprised this year the s23 ultra has the best battery life out of these three phones
17:10It's actually kind of incredible
17:12So it's got 5,000 milliamp hour battery 45 watt charging and you have wireless and reverse wireless charging on here
17:19This phone easily lasts a day day and a half easy. It is extremely good battery life
17:25Which really surprised me because I was not expecting that them to step it up this far this year
17:31So I would say the battery situation is just better even though the iPhone which has always, you know
17:37Had pretty good battery life, especially on these max versions
17:40the issue with the iPhone is that the charging is kind of definitely slower than the the s23 ultra for sure and
17:48Yeah, it just it feels you can easily get a day out of this. The battery life is really good on the 14 Pro Max
17:54It's got a four thousand three hundred twenty three milliamp hour battery
17:57But like I said, the charging speed doesn't seem to be as fast as the s23
18:01so that's why I would say I will put the s23 first over the iPhone because it's just as good battery life if not better
18:07And also it charges faster and it's got reverse wireless charging as well, too
18:12And the iPhone does not it just has wireless in the max a the pixel has really good battery life as well
18:18but definitely not as good as the
18:21Galaxy or the 14 Pro Max, but it definitely is an all-day phone. So it's nowhere near bad battery life
18:275,000 milliamps 23 watt
18:29Charging and then you have wireless and reverse wireless charging again does not charge as fast as the Galaxy as well, too
18:36But really good battery life on the pixel, but I would say s23 definitely the best battery situation here
18:42Not only is it lasts a long time, but you have pretty good charging speeds at 45 watts and you have you know
18:49Wireless and reverse wireless as well
18:52All right, so that's pretty much it
18:54I've had a really good experience with these phones
18:57Here the s23 has been really impressive this year with it's really good battery life
19:03Really advanced software for power users being able to use the s-pen and when you I just has a ton of features like Samson Dex
19:10And the highly customizable and Samson just makes it really easy to customize and play with the phone
19:16Pixel has just come in clutch for me this year with the cameras as always
19:20Just really good cameras on here and just a extremely smooth OS in my opinion absolutely love the OS and
19:27Yeah, the iPhone as always really good video beautiful hardware on here
19:33Apple does make some of the best-looking phones as well, too
19:35And again, not my favorite camera not my favorite display iOS definitely is getting a little bit more customizable
19:42Like I said, it's really good for FaceTime. I message a lot of people like that
19:46But yeah, I've had a really good experience with these phones
19:48So be sure to let me know which phone you guys like the most and I'll catch you guys in the next one
