00:00What's up guys? Today I want to go ahead and talk about the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
00:04One month later give you guys my opinions. I've been using
00:07you know older flagships and comparing it on the channel to
00:11you know these older flagships just so I can get a good feel for
00:14I know people who have these phones like Note 10 Plus, S21 Ultra, Note 20 Ultra,
00:19S10 even. Should you trade the phone in? Spend that money to upgrade? If you guys
00:26want to see those comparisons I have a ton of them on my channel just go ahead
00:28and check them out. I tried to cover almost all the older
00:31flagship phones I have and the upgrade here is pretty good. So
00:36with the S22 Ultra it didn't check enough boxes
00:39for me to go tell people yeah you need to upgrade your S21 or your Note 20
00:43Ultra and this phone is still pretty like
00:48depending on which phone you're coming from
00:50like an S21 Ultra you don't need to upgrade. A Note 20 Ultra you don't
00:54really need to upgrade but again it depends on the actual
00:59person and what they're looking for in their phone
01:02like what is really important to you. So throughout this
01:05time you know this month of using the phone you really notice the battery
01:09improvement with this phone. So I've been running even loud
01:12wallpaper on this phone and if you guys checked out my PUBG
01:16drain test this phone got six hours and 47 minutes
01:19of screen on time so it's very impressive
01:23of just straight up just playing PUBG. Not only that but it didn't get super
01:27high either so that's also another plus too. Battery life has been
01:31phenomenal this is actually a massive leap for Samsung.
01:34This is the best battery life we've seen in any Samsung phone.
01:38It's just pretty it's pretty impressive so if you're somebody who
01:42just didn't like Android phones or whatever or Samsung phones because you
01:46thought you weren't getting good battery life
01:48in comparison to something like an iPhone or something like that
01:51or even another great battery Android phone is like an Asus
01:55ROG phone the gaming phone that has phenomenal battery life
01:59but for a top tier flagship phone like this from Samsung to have
02:02just excellent battery life up there with Apple's you know since they have
02:06such great optimization with iOS and the chip
02:09this is pretty impressive and not only that but this has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
02:13for Samsung so it's a slightly overclocked processor as well
02:17too so I'm just really impressed with the battery performance on here.
02:21This phone easily can get well over you know eight
02:25nine hours of screen on time or basically can last a full day easy
02:30two days easy so I'm really impressed with the
02:33battery life on this phone that's the biggest upgrade that
02:36I've seen with this device here. Also guys the speed so
02:41just you know like I'll show you guys with the Note 10 plus
02:46if you're an average casual user you're not doing too
02:49intensive stuff um the Note 10 plus even with a Snapdragon 855 chip
02:55like it feels still pretty much on par like it still feels fast that's why I
03:01said the average person yeah you might wait like a second or two
03:06but honestly I don't I just wasn't seeing a
03:09massive speed improvement so if you were looking for this crazy speed
03:12improvement and it really the gap closes really with S21 Ultra
03:17Note 20 Ultra with a more powerful chipset so I don't think
03:20the speed improvement is that much better I think if you're a casual gamer
03:23somebody that plays PUBG you know a few matches there
03:27from these old flagships like they all play HDR extreme
03:30they all play really well so like I said you're not gonna notice too much of a
03:33difference with speed and I just think the battery life is the
03:37biggest highlight with this phone. The next thing I want to talk about is
03:41the camera improvements here so Samsung has made some pretty good
03:45camera improvements here we get the 200 megapixel
03:50camera on here now which is pretty impressive it takes some very high
03:54quality shots um basically it's really for people who
03:58like to zoom into shots maybe if you were
04:01taking a picture and you were going to blow it up right
04:04that would be really useful that's a great you know case scenario
04:07but also guys the 8k video on here is actually pretty
04:11usable in my opinion like it's not as cropped
04:15and I think it looks really good guys so the 8k video last year it just
04:20it was like cropped and it was like 8k 24
04:24as you guys can see like really really nice
04:27uh video on this phone just super high resolution video guys
04:31and I really really like uh the stills that this phone is putting out
04:36um as well too it just takes some phenomenal photos like I said
04:40um again if you're coming from like an s21 ultra note 20 ultra check out those
04:44camera comparisons you can sort of make up the
04:47decision whether you thought this was a good upgrade as far as like just taking
04:51regular stills because I know a lot of people they're not doing the 100 times
04:54zoom and stuff like that I know a lot of people aren't really doing that
04:57but this does take excellent zoom shots at 10 times 30 times it is very
05:01impressive some of the best zoom photos you can get
05:04uh on any smartphone right now great low light shots it's just a great
05:08camera when it comes to just taking pictures in general guys
05:12and like I said if you're somebody you're at a sporting event or anything
05:14like that being able to zoom in it's pretty cool guys not only that but
05:18the night photography on here like the astrophotography is pretty cool
05:22thing with the samsung uh raw application as
05:25well too um and um yeah I just absolutely love the
05:29the image quality on here I think it's great like I said if you
05:33coming from an older flagship look at those older
05:35look at those uh comparisons and you can sort of make up like okay
05:39I can see the the difference here all right so when I first got the phone
05:42I was a little bit like I just didn't like this boxy design so I was a little
05:48bit hard on the design and I think it still stands it just like
05:52it's super boxy now and it's even more uncomfortable I think
05:56in the hand like holding a note 10 plus it just like as you guys can see like
06:02the note 10 plus it has a little bit of curve so it's not as boxy
06:06this is just super super uncomfortable kind of
06:09um I put a case on it so it really doesn't matter
06:13uh because that you know basically goes away but it's
06:16and what's funny about the design it is easier to hold
06:20since it is like more squared off it is easier to hold so it's harder to drop
06:25but it's also more uncomfortable as well too so
06:28you kind of have to I end up kind of adjusting how I hold the phone like this
06:32so it's not cutting into the palm because typically you hold the phone
06:36in the very bottom but you kind of have to like hold it like this and
06:40it's just kind of weird you have to naturally you want to go like this but
06:45lately I've been having to hold it like that but like I said that's just
06:49just small little petty things most people are going to put a case on it I
06:52advise you to put a case on it's you know $1,200 phone you should put a
06:56case on it um also guys s-pen here
07:01they really haven't touched on the s-pen really in a while
07:05um no real significant features it still feels basically the same as
07:11all the other note phones honestly if you're a digital artist you
07:14absolutely love it you I use it for notes like you know if
07:18you're going to um grocery store you jot down notes it's
07:22really helpful for that um other than that uh the design is
07:27really nice I think it looks great not too much
07:29different from the s22 ultra and um I think the design has pros and
07:34cons like I said also I think I really like what they did
07:37with the screen on here if you guys can see
07:39the screen is not as aggressively curved uh this year so
07:43it's not flat but it's nowhere near as aggressively curved so
07:47you can it's easier to apply like a what do you call it screen protector
07:52which I've never used but it's easier for those people who are
07:55who would like to do that um but I do like the screen not being as
07:59curved um either way curved screen or aggressive
08:03curve doesn't really matter to me but a lot of people like this move I think
08:07it looks really nice either way so that's something that you know I
08:11think you can appreciate all right so overall it's a pretty good
08:15upgrade um I would say the biggest things here
08:18are the zoom right taking zoom shots is always pretty cool
08:22pictures of the moon all that cool stuff also battery life is a massive
08:26improvement here the cpu and the overall just performance
08:30like I said it's not really that much big of a difference um if you're not
08:34like somebody that's a hardcore gamer or somebody that's doing productivity
08:38apps editing on your phone stuff like that
08:41um then you won't notice too much of a difference with speed
08:44um but like I said the cooling on here is just definitely less hot
08:48but overall it's an excellent phone beautiful 1440p
08:52display on here beautiful design on here it looks great
08:56awesome cameras as well and um I think Samsung just hit it out the part with
09:02the battery thing so that was one of my big complaints also they fixed the
09:06speakers as well guys uh the speakers are super loud have a ton
09:10of bass go ahead and play something for you
09:14just that's one of my favorite improvements
09:31just really good speakers guys especially compared to the s22 ultra
09:35but uh yeah guys that's pretty much it be sure to let me know what you guys
