00:00If you like filming a video with your smartphone and are comfortable spending a little over
00:06$150 USD to achieve more professional-looking results, a smartphone gimbal might be right
00:12for you.
00:13Hello guys, welcome to GadgetTen.
00:18We've got the top 5 best phone gimbals of 2022 for you today.
00:22You can buy it at the link in the description below the video.
00:32Number 5 – Gudson Moza Mini S
00:37When size matters, the Moza Mini S performs like no other.
00:41This phone gimbal has a slim, light body that folds down to 5 inches in length.
00:47Small enough to fit nicely in a backpack, drawer, or even your glove compartment.
00:52A built-in sensor and brushless motor do away with the shake that turns good videos into
00:56vertigo-inducing nightmares.
00:59This little gimbal automatically detects and tracks objects and people, in addition to
01:04panning, tilting, and rolling.
01:07Footage stays crisp thanks to 3-axis stabilization.
01:10The handle on the Moza Mini S is equipped with one-button zoom and focus controls for
01:15smooth operation.
01:16If there's anything to complain about, it's the variable battery life that sometimes stretches
01:218 hours while at other times barely makes it to the 5-hour mark.
01:29Number 4 – Zhiyun Smooth Q3
01:35Zhiyun might be the biggest name in camera gimbals besides DJI, and the Smooth Q3 is
01:41just one of several models from MobileIT offers.
01:44With a compact sliding design and excellent build quality, it feels broadly on the same
01:49level as DJI offerings.
01:52Even if it doesn't match DJI's handy magnetic clamp design, it does come with a built-in
01:57swiveling fill light for keeping your subject or yourself illuminated, and its stabilization
02:02is broadly similar to the OM4 and 5's.
02:06Unfortunately, Zhiyun's ZY Cami app isn't as intuitive or stable as the DJI Mimo app
02:13but feels slightly annoying to use, and locks some features behind a prime membership paywall.
02:18Thankfully, you don't need to use the app for general stabilized filming – your phone's
02:23camera app will work, but some of the special shooting modes like Dolly Zoom do require
02:27it as do object tracking and gesture controls.
02:30With a better app, this might be a genuine equal to the OM4.
02:38Number 3 – Holm iSteady Mobile Plus
02:43The Holm iSteady Mobile Plus is an affordable gimbal with advanced features you'll adore.
02:49Included with this model is a newly released 3D Inception mode that rotates your phone
02:53360 degrees while filming.
02:56A sports mode kicks 3-axis stabilization into overdrive, ensuring movies are never shaky,
03:02even when you're running down the stairs or biking over rugged terrain.
03:06Battery life on the iSteady Mobile Plus is an admirable 12 hours, and the unit can charge
03:11your phone if necessary.
03:13This model has 4 panning modes and various time-lapse features, and can do minor retouching
03:18during post-processing with the included app.
03:24This well-balanced model is one of the best phone gimbals because of its versatility,
03:28and it fits every phone up to the iPhone 13.
03:31All in all, this is a pro-grade gimbal at a bargain price.
03:41Number 2 – DJI OM4
03:47While it's no longer DJI's latest or most advanced mobile gimbal, the OM4 remains on
03:52sale at third-party retailers, and it's still a fantastic 3-axis stabilizer for your
03:57phone thanks to strong motors and its pioneering magnetic clamp design, which allows you to
04:03attach and detach a phone swiftly and with minimal fuss – no need to struggle with
04:08a spring-loaded clamp.
04:10The magnet clamp doesn't hold all cases equally tightly, though, so be careful when
04:15submitting your precious smartphone to its mercies.
04:18The OM4 is a more conventional gimbal than its successor the OM5 and offers more than
04:23double the battery life.
04:26While it's not as compact or lightweight as the newer model, it uses the same Mimo
04:30app with its excellent object tracking and trickshot modes.
04:34Note that the OM4 is not the same as the newer – and cheaper – OM4 SE.
04:42Number 1 – DJI OM5
04:48The OM5 is one of the smallest, lightest gimbals, and that will make it the most attractive
04:52option here for a lot of people.
04:55With its 21.5cm selfie-stick style extension rod, the DJI OM5 might not be the most traditional
05:02of mobile gimbals.
05:04Some will appreciate the extra distance, but it comes at a cost – the long battery life
05:08offered by the older OM4 is drastically curtailed here, and the OM5 can't act as a power bank
05:14for your phone.
05:16The OM5 features a magnetic clamp that makes mounting and unmounting your phone a cinch,
05:21and while the gimbal itself is fairly small – 100g lighter than the OM4 – its powerful
05:27motor does a great job stabilizing larger, heavier handsets.
05:31With the Mimo app offering superb, smooth object tracking, gesture controls, and trickshot
05:36modes, it all adds up to an elegant premium option.
05:40If the price is no barrier, then this is a fine gimbal.
