00:00Let's take the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus out for a spin on another vlog test.
00:05🎵
00:09G'day, you beautiful people. Welcome to Isa Das Tech, where we do tech in your life, in style.
00:13Today's video will have us testing out Xiaomi's newly released mid-range device.
00:18This is the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus, not to be confused with the Redmi Note 12 Pro.
00:23And yes, I will have a separate video on this soon. I'll link it up here and down below.
00:27But yeah, this is the Plus version and we're taking this out for a spin today to check out the cameras and what it can do.
00:33If you're new to the channel, these videos are when I bring out these phones to use them in everyday scenarios
00:40so that you can see for yourself just how well these perform.
00:43Just a quick reminder, all you need to do is look here to see if what you're watching or what you're looking at has been shot with this phone.
00:50Now to recap, what is the deal with this phone?
00:52Well, this has a 200MP main shooter at the back with OIS, which is something that we're gonna be testing out as well in this video.
00:59It has an 8MP wide and a 2MP macro camera.
01:03Up front, that's a 16MP camera on the punch hole.
01:07Right? Let's test these phones. No, this phone. It's only one phone.
01:23So before we continue, I know that there will be a lot of questions about what the difference is between the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus and the Redmi Note 12 Pro without the Plus.
01:33Basically, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus is a phone that's designed to give you a better camera experience evidenced by the 200MP main camera.
01:42On the other hand, this phone has a 50MP main camera. The rest of the cameras are the same.
01:47They both run on the same chip. They have the same screen size.
01:51Except for the fact that the back of the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus is slightly curved versus the completely flat back of the Redmi Note 12 Pro without the Plus.
02:03But also, both phones have 5000mAh battery except the Plus has 120W charging and this has 67W charging.
02:11But yeah, those are the differences in a nutshell.
02:18So we're shooting with a front-facing camera and this is the outfit of the day.
02:24I'm actually going to be meeting with a friend. You can shoot in 1080p on the front-facing camera, 30 and 60fps.
02:32You're watching 30 right now and then this is 60fps.
02:37Now again, I always say this in my videos. I'm not going to be exporting this in 30 or 60fps or whatever resolution.
02:43But I show you these samples so you can see for yourself just how the camera or just how the phone manages these different resolutions or frame rates.
02:53We are yet again in front of my mirror just so there's control for samples like this.
03:11But this is 1080p 30fps on 1x.
03:14Yeah, I pressed the button so it exited. So 1080p 30fps.
03:20I keep on pressing the button. So okay, 2.5x. You can zoom up until 6x and back out.
03:27Up until 1x, you have to pause the video to get too wide on this resolution.
03:35I like how the light is shining off of the phone. It's one of those matte phones that have this really nice frosty look.
03:43And look at that. It looks like it's glowing. But anyway, let's move on.
03:461080p 60fps this time. There is no wide. It reverts to 1080p 30fps when you go on wide and you can zoom up until 6x.
03:56Again, look at how bright and nice that phone looks with the light.
04:02Back up until 1x. 4k 30fps as well and there is no wide on here. You can zoom up until 6x.
04:14Say hi to Mary and Alvin and Jason over there.
04:19Okay, back to 1x. We will be vlogging in I think 1080p 30fps because that is usually the default for a midrange device like this.
04:29So I'm gonna switch to that now.
04:37I've actually been editing the whole day. So I'm taking a little break. Say hi to Chew.
04:43Hello Chew!
04:47She's not amused.
04:59Lol, those last two samples. The first two, no HDR. So the first one was super overexposed with the background being overexposed and my face bright enough.
05:10The second one was too dark on my face and the third one was when I turned the HDR on.
05:17Right, Chew?
05:20Okay, so really quickly before I head out, let's try the macro mode on my plan.
05:25So I'm gonna do normal 1x photo and then macros to see just how they're gonna look.
05:32Again, this is a very well-lit area. This is my grow light. So let's see how this looks.
05:40Let's go!
05:42I've honestly personally loved how Xiaomi phones have so many like social media features.
06:12They have the vlog mode, they have the short video mode. If you've seen any of my camera tours, I talked about that.
06:19The fact that they have that mode on there to make up for the Android inconsistencies when it comes to social media.
06:27So basically this is designed that you just shoot through the short video mode and once you shoot your little 15 second clip, edit it,
06:36your social media should come out at the bottom there and it's gonna be easier for you to share straight from the native camera app.
06:43So yeah, there is also a pro mode on here and I know a lot of people who are very much into camera photography look for this mode.
06:53So you have that.
06:56So obviously I didn't vlog yesterday, but it was a great time.
07:06We're gonna do the vlogging today, which is coincidentally the launch of the Redmi Note 12 series here.
07:13Again, front-facing camera. Now I will say that the rear cameras of the Redmi Note 12 Plus, no Pro Plus,
07:21is supposedly better at low light because it lets in, they say, 15% more light.
07:27And I did notice that the shots from the main camera from last night looked so good.
07:34And so because this is an event, we're gonna be testing out those cameras more.
07:38Rear camera also supposedly has OIS, which is better for low light stuff.
07:43So we're gonna test that out as well. Let's go!
07:47Obviously vlogging with the 12 Pro Plus. And we have here, look at that mirror image, the very shiny Redmi Note 12.
07:58We also have Nicole. Check out the website. She has the 12, so she'll have stuff on that.
08:03Let's take some portrait samples.
08:16Why we be like this? I don't know. It's too early. Yeah. I'm thirsty. I'm hungry. Thirsty for what?
08:46So Xiaomi has a robot song. Selfie strap.
09:16What's up? What is going on?
09:46Supposed to be OIS, baby.
10:16Hi. Hi.
10:47We snuck out.
10:52So this supposedly has OIS, so we're walking and talking right now. We're trying to figure it out.
10:59Someone's taking a photo.
11:06Sup. Sup Mike. Sup.
11:12When you shoot in 200 megapixels, there is a Xiaomi Pro Cut feature that uses AI to detect whatever is in your photo and cut it down to whatever aspect ratio might fit your photo.
12:13We are at the after party right now.
12:17See what's going on. As you can see, we're at the booth. We have the cameras. Let's go.
13:43And that, friends, was our look at the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+.
13:49I will also have a camera vlog test on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro.
13:53Stay tuned for that. I'll link it up here and down below when it's available.
13:56In the meantime, I'm off for another vlog test. Can you guess which phone it is?
