00:00What's up guys, today we're going to be talking about my top 5 favorite older flagship phones
00:03you guys should consider.
00:04I'm going to be giving you guys some price updates on these phones as well.
00:08We're going to start off with the iPhone 11.
00:11One of the most interesting phones on this list because it's a really powerful older
00:15flagship phone.
00:16Now you could easily swap the 11 out with the XS as well too, so if you're thinking
00:19about getting a XS, I would definitely go for that, it's got a better screen as well.
00:24The iPhone 11 is trending for around $300-$350 on eBay and Amazon, I'll have those links
00:30down below.
00:31I really love how this phone feels, it's just an excellent feeling phone.
00:35Just comparing it to the new 14 Pro, it has just been a blast, it just feels awesome.
00:39I wish they would go back to this design.
00:41It's aluminum frame, it's got glass back, IP68, and it just feels really nice with those
00:45smooth edges.
00:46This one has a 6.1 inch liquid IPS display, it's 720p plus, 326 for the PPI.
00:53It's somewhat bright, like I said, no real issues with the display, but like I said,
00:57if you want that better display, you would go with the XS here, but overall the display
01:01is perfectly fine, I don't think anybody would have any issues with it.
01:05This phone got the iOS 16 update, it's been running like a breeze so far for me.
01:09It's got the Apple A13 chip on here, which is really the highlight of this phone, it's
01:14super powerful.
01:15This phone really just blazes through applications, multitasking, gaming performance on here is
01:20even still really good, you can play PUBG, HDR Extreme, no issues at all with performance
01:26on this phone.
01:27Now, this phone does have 64 gigs of internal storage and 4 gigs on the base version, and
01:32you do have stereo speakers, which have really good bass quality, NFC, Face ID, all that's
01:37on here works perfectly fine.
01:39The real highlight with this phone is actually the camera, so this is also where it sort
01:44of differs itself from the XS, is this one has the 12 megapixel ultra wide, and the XS
01:50has the telephoto lens, so I think most people prefer ultra wide, that's why I put it on
01:54this list.
01:55It's 4K 60 on the front and back with a 12 megapixel selfie.
02:00Images look great, if you guys check out my 11 versus 14 Pro, I did the pictures side
02:04by side, check those out.
02:06Image quality looks really good still on the iPhone 11, of course it's not going to beat
02:09the 14 Pro, but it still looks great for an older flagship phone, so you can definitely
02:13get really excellent shots out of this phone here.
02:17Also for battery life, I think my battery life is sitting at around, I know it's above
02:2285%, and I can still squeeze around 6 hours of screen on time out of this phone.
02:26It's got a 3,110 milliamp battery with wireless charging, and yeah, so the battery life on
02:32here is decent, definitely for an older flagship phone.
02:35Alright guys, next is going to be the Galaxy Note 10 Plus, this phone is also coming down
02:39in price, I bought mine, it was in like the $400 price range, now it's sitting almost
02:44close to $300, so this is going to be an excellent buy, one of my favorite phones,
02:50my favorite older flagship phones to pick up.
02:52It's got an aluminum frame, glass back, I love the color on here as well too, it's IP68
02:56dust and water resistant.
02:58If you want a phone with a stylus that's cheap, this is definitely the phone to go for here.
03:03It's got a beautiful 6.8 inch dynamic AMOLED display, it's HDR10+, it's full 1440p, 498
03:10for the PPI, just a beautiful display, it looks pretty much identical to the newest
03:15S22 Ultra here, it's just lacking any high refresh rate, but man, this is a very nice
03:20display.
03:21This phone did get the Android 12 update guys, One UI 4 on here, so that will be the last
03:27major OS update, this phone is scheduled to get 3 years of security patches, you do have
03:31the Snapdragon 855 in the Adreno 640 on here, basically this phone is still very powerful,
03:37I have several gaming tests on this phone, so please check that out, just type it in
03:40the search bar, it still does an excellent job with gaming.
03:43On top of that, you do have micro SD card support, 256 gigs of internal storage and
03:4812 gigs of RAM, so plenty of storage on this phone, plenty of RAM, it's just a beast when
03:53it comes to performance.
03:54The stereo speakers are very loud on here, good bass qualities, no issues there, no headphone
03:59jack on here, you do have the NFC on here, under the display fingerprint sensor is on
04:05here, that works really well, this does have Samsung desktop support, basically everything
04:09the new phones have pretty much software wise, and then you also have on here a fairly good
04:14camera setup, 12 megapixel standard, 12 megapixel telephoto, 2x, and then a 16 megapixel ultra
04:20wide, it's using 4K 60 on the front and back, and then you have a 10 megapixel selfie cam
04:25on here.
04:26Image quality looked really good on the Note 10+, again for 300 bucks, I don't think anyone's
04:31going to complain, you get some nice crispy photos, and yeah, so really no complaints,
04:36like I said, I compared it to the S22 Ultra, it did an excellent job, even against that
04:40phone as well too, a lot of people couldn't even notice too much of a difference, there's
04:44a difference, but you know, it's not like a big difference if you're a casual user.
04:49As far as the battery life, this is another phone that can get around 6 hours of screen
04:52on time, 4300 milliamp, it charges decently fast at 45 watts, which is really impressive,
04:59and then you have wireless charging and reverse wireless charging on here as well too, so
05:04overall the Note 10+, it's an excellent package, like I said, I got it for 400, you can get
05:08this thing now for around the 300 dollar price range, I got mine refurbished, it came in
05:12excellent condition, still going strong to this day.
05:15Alright guys, next is the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, so this one came down in price slightly, I
05:21think I bought mine for like 500, this one it hasn't really moved that much, it's actually
05:25around like 460 dollars, the cheapest I see it, it's still a really good deal for those
05:30that want a little bit more premium experience instead of the Note 10+, you don't want to
05:34spend a ton of money and get the newest S22 Ultra, so this one has a good balance, especially
05:39when we get to the specs, so this one has a pretty nice design as well too, stainless
05:44steel frame, glass back, IP68, you have the built in stylus again, but this one has a
05:50massive 6.9 inch display, it's Dynamic AMOLED, 120Hz, HDR10+, it's again 1440p, 496 for the
05:58PPI, but the 120Hz only works at the full HD, so do remember that.
06:04This phone got the Android 12 update, and this phone will get the Android 13 update
06:09as well, it's got the Snapdragon 865 chip on here, so this phone is just a beast when
06:14it comes to gaming performance, again I dropped the gaming test on my channel, please check
06:18that out, it just blew through any game you really throw at it.
06:22So you do have SD card support on here, this is actually technically the last kind of real
06:26Note with SD card support, you do have 128 gigs of internal storage and 12 gigs of RAM,
06:32I think the 256 gig versions are going around for around that same price too, so you can
06:36probably get that.
06:37And like I said, SD card support on here, stereo speakers on here, which actually sound
06:42really good, very loud, good bass quality with those, and all of the additional features,
06:47the fingerprint scanner is still super fast, desktop support is on here as well too.
06:52The big thing that makes this phone different is that you have a massive 108 megapixel sensor
06:58on here, 12 megapixel periscope telephoto that does 5x, it does 50x hybrid zoom, it
07:03shoots in 8K 24, and a 10 megapixel selfie cam that shoots in 4K 60, so you can see that
07:09big camera jump from the Note 10+, as far as spec wise, so if you take a lot of photos,
07:14you don't want to spend $1000 on the new one, then get this one, you'll still get excellent
07:18image quality out of here, great dynamic range, great zoom shots, just great everything with
07:23the cameras on here, especially for this price point, 108 megapixels, just crazy detail with
07:29those shots.
07:30This phone also, even though it has a bigger battery, still typically gets around 6 hours
07:34of screen on time as well too, I think I did a drain test for you guys as well, 4500 milliamp,
07:4025 watt charging, you have wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, so again, just
07:45pretty decent battery life on here, nothing too special, but overall just a beast of a
07:49device as well.
07:50Alright, next is the OnePlus 7 Pro, I still love this phone, this phone you can find extremely
07:55cheap for around $200, $250, I absolutely love this phone, it's supposed to get the
08:00Android 12 update as well too, I'm still waiting for mine, they haven't rolled it out, they've
08:07been super slow with that, but after that, this phone will go also into its security
08:11patch stages, now this phone, the special thing about this phone is the fluid AMOLED
08:16display, it's 90 hertz HDR10+, it's 1440p at 6.67 inches, 516 for the PPI, a beautiful
08:24display and a really nice phone to hold as well too, as well it's got those curved edges
08:28on here, so it just feels really nice, but the display is beautiful, it has no punch
08:32hole, no notch, it's curved, so it just looks like you're holding a screen in your hand,
08:37and it's absolutely a beautiful display, we have not seen another phone like it from OnePlus
08:43unfortunately, and it's just an awesome gaming experience, video watching experience, it's
08:47super immersive guys, so that's always one thing that I've really loved about this phone,
08:52and you have the Snapdragon 855 chip on here, it's still very fast when it comes to getting
08:57in and out of applications, when it comes to gaming performance, I also have a gaming
09:00test, it does a fairly good job with that too, it has 128 gigs of internal storage and
09:056 gigs of RAM, but the version that they have going around is 256, 8 gigs, so I would definitely
09:11pick that up, stereo speakers are pretty decent, good bass quality, overall just decent sound
09:17coming from that, the fingerprint scanner is super fast, you can also use the face unlock
09:20with the pop up cam on here as well too, which is pretty cool, on here, and I think the cameras
09:27on here are probably, I would say, the worst cameras on the list, it's a 48 megapixel standard
09:33and an 8 megapixel telephoto, it does 3x optical zoom, and then a 16 megapixel ultrawide, it
09:38has 4k 60, and the pop up cam is 16, and it does 1080p 30, compared to all the other phones
09:44on this list, I would not choose it, like if I wanted a phone to take the best pictures
09:48on this list, I would not choose this phone, the pictures aren't awful, but this is like
09:52one of those phones that I always have to constantly edit photos and stuff like that
09:55because the color is always off, it's not that it takes bad photos, it's just compared
09:58to the rest of these phones, I just don't like the image quality, but overall, like
10:03I said, image quality is decent, I've taken this phone on vacations and stuff like that,
10:07I've gotten some good shots out of it, just compared to the other phones, it's just like
10:10less work with editing the shots, the battery life on here is around 4000 milliamps, it's
10:17a 30 watt charger, so you typically can get around 6 hours still with this phone as well
10:21too, I've never had this phone die on me in a day, overall, this is just an excellent
10:25phone, anybody that's into media, like hands down, you have to get this phone, it's just
10:30a beautiful experience, alright guys, next is the LG V60, this is another phone you can
10:34pick up for around 200, 250 bucks, it's crazy cheap, I think this phone offers the most
10:40value for your money, honestly on this list, it is just ridiculous how much value you get
10:44with this phone, so again, you have this tank of a design, aluminum frame, glass back, IP68,
10:51as a POLED display, HDR10+, on here, 6.8 inches, 1080p, 395 for the PPI, basically, there's
11:00no high refresh rate, but you do get a dual screen case capability with this, that kind
11:05of makes up for it, so you get a dual screen case, you can turn it into basically two phones,
11:09which is really sweet, and the screen quality is actually pretty good on here as well too,
11:13this phone got the Android 12 update, and LG did promise that they were going to roll
11:19out the Android 13 update, so we'll be looking for that as well too, if you guys want to
11:22see those videos, I have a ton of videos on the V60, Snapdragon 865 is still extremely
11:27powerful on here, I did a gaming test, it blows through any game you can play, micro
11:32SD card support on here, 128 and 8 gigs of RAM on here as well too, so you have plenty
11:38of storage, this phone has the stereo speakers, which are very loud, great bass quality, overall
11:45just excellent in sound, and then this phone does have a headphone jack with the quad deck,
11:49so anybody that's into serious audio listening, you will absolutely love the V60, it's definitely
11:55one of those rare phones with that quad deck, NFC is on here, fingerprint scanner on the
12:01display, that works fine, the cameras on here are actually still pretty good, it's a 64
12:05megapixel standard, a 13 megapixel ultrawide, and then a .3 depth sensor, it shoots in 8K
12:1030, with a 10 megapixel selfie cam that shoots in 4K 30, overall the image quality is very
12:17good on the V60, so I've always been impressed with the very natural color science on here,
12:22overall you get some very good shots, especially at this price ratio, there's literally nothing
12:27I can say negative about this phone, battery life is excellent on here, 5000 mAh battery,
12:31this can get you well over 6 hours of screen on time, so it's got wireless charging, all
12:37that, just an excellent phone, so be sure to let me know what do you guys think, and
12:40I'll catch you guys in the next one.
