00:22Alan, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has returned home after the inauguration of the newest President of Indonesia.

00:35President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. gave the new President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, his approval after his personal inauguration of the First Couple.

00:50President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos attended the inauguration of the President of the largest economy in Southeast Asia.

01:02Prabowo Subianto was formally appointed as the 8th President of Indonesia,

01:08and the youngest Vice President of Indonesia, Gibran Rakabumi, yesterday at the House of Representatives Building in Jakarta.

01:19The First Couple was invited by the current and outgoing Indonesian President, Joko Widodo,

01:25who gave an important speech.

01:28In his speech, President Marcos said that he and the First Lady will be a part of this occasion,

01:37which is special for friends who visit and the international community.

01:43Indonesia was recognized by the Executive Board as a long-standing partner and close friend of the Philippines in the region.

01:52He also gave the desire to strengthen the friendship of the two countries in this historic occasion,

02:00which coincided with the 75th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Indonesia in November.

02:11This is not the first time that the two leaders of the country met.

02:15Prabowo gave a courtesy call to President Marcos in Malacanang a few months after he won the election.

02:23The two leaders then promised to strengthen the alliance of the two countries.

02:30Therefore, President Marcos' visit proves the deep and strong friendship of the Philippines and Indonesia.

02:40It is also a symbol of the commitment of the two countries to expand and strengthen the bilateral relations.

02:48Meanwhile, President Marcos recognized the contribution of the former President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo,

02:56who helped strengthen the cooperation of the two countries.

03:01In 2022, Indonesia was President Marcos' first state visit,

03:06where he was warmly welcomed by Widodo, who also visited the Philippines in January 2024.
