Inspiring children from across Leeds and Yorkshire were celebrated at the Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards 2024.

00:00The Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards 2024 were held on Friday the 18th of October at
00:06New Dock Hall, with 600 guests coming together to honour some of the region's most inspiring
00:11children and young people. Founded in 2011 by the St James' Place Charitable Foundation,
00:16the awards also raise essential funds for hundreds of charities.
00:19The ten winners on the night were Theo Hampson in the Sporting Superstar category for ages
00:2410 and under, and Lola Pinder in the same category for ages 11 to 18.
00:29The 12 and under Fantastic Fundraiser was Elliot Gunn, and the Fantastic Fundraiser
00:33aged 13 to 18 was Mattie Bishop.
00:36The 12 and under Beyond Bravery Award was won by Heidi Howson, with the 13 to 18 year
00:41old winner being Bethany Martin.
00:43The 12 and under Amazing Achievement Award winner was Oscar Alley, and the 13 to 18 year
00:48old winner was Matilda Chadwick.
00:50The Compassionate Carer Award was won by River Grimes Jude, and the Dare to Dream Award was
00:55won by Freddie MacDonald.
00:56Candlelighters were crowned the Children's Charity of the Year.
