00:00Once more and yet again, the whole of government is faced with the task of disaster response
00:08and risk mitigation, with Tropical Storm Christine poised to make landfall tomorrow somewhere
00:14in northeastern Luzon.
00:16But as always, national governments, disaster response agencies, and local governments are
00:21all set and prepped for the worst with logistical support, communications, and relief operations
00:28all in place and good to go at a moment's notice.

00:35Typhoon Christine is expected to make landfall in Isabela Province on Wednesday morning.
00:42The Department of the Interior and local government is all prepped up and good to go following
00:47the directive from President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.
00:50Local governments and various agencies are on high alert.
00:54Evacuation centers and essential assistants are ready for deployment at a moment's notice.
00:59All units have been mobilized.
01:02All local government units have been informed.
01:04No matter where it will pass, all local government units, all civil defense units have been alerted
01:09and I think we're prepared.
01:11The DILG has recommended that local governments suspend classes at all levels across Luzon
01:18from today until tomorrow, October 23.
01:22However, the final decision on class suspensions remains with the respective LGUs.
01:29The Office of the Civil Defense Project's Typhoon Christine could impact a staggering
01:3430 million people.
01:3618,000 barangays are at risk of flooding and landslides.
01:41The chief executive is committed to ensuring a peaceful commemoration of All Saints Day
01:46and the upcoming Christmas celebrations.
01:48The DILG pledged to double police presence in public and crowded areas.
01:53We've instructed the PNP to double their presence, especially in the malls, in the public sector
02:00transportation, and in the LRT and MRT, where it's popular to carry bags.
