00:35Honestly, I'm not balancing. My acting career is balancing me. I finished my studies and
00:42I came to Bombay and that's how my journey began. So honestly, acting is balancing me.
00:48I'm not balancing anything. So I finished my studies and I decided to come to Bombay
00:53and that's how my passion for acting began. Started giving auditions. Then I went to Los
01:01Angeles to finish my course in acting. I studied at New York Film Academy, Lee Strasberg Theatre
01:07Group. And I came back, I started getting work here. And yes, that's how I got my big
01:14boss and my ad with Shah Rukh Sir and now Housefull 5.
01:24Oh, it is amazing. Ritesh Sir is so humble, so sweet. Of course, I know him from before.
01:30Of course, because of Big Boss, we had common friends and we met after that. Ritesh and
01:37Genelia came in during Big Boss and Jacqueline is a sweetheart. Everybody, Abhishek Sir is
01:43also like so humble.
01:45Memorable to here, I'm still creating my memories and building. We finished shooting for like
01:55the first skit, the half part of it. And I'm still shooting for the second skit. But Akshay
02:02Sir is very goofy, he's very funny. I mean, if someone has the most trolling set, it's
02:08mine. Whenever a message comes from someone's phone and we think what's happening, we find
02:14out that Akshay Sir picked it up and messaged it. So there are a lot of such things. But
02:18the most memorable part of this journey is, I would say, meeting Varda Nariyadwala. She's
02:26my god sister. People have godfathers, she's my god sister. Because I'll tell you, she believed
02:32in me when nobody did. One thing is that everyone is praising you, you have come from Big Boss,
02:38you have also got such a big ad. But to translate into work, it takes one person to believe
02:43in you. And I think for me, it's her. So that is one thing, meeting her is one of the best
02:49things that has happened to me.
02:56Definitely, because I think every dot is connected. I don't know what and how, but the determination
03:01of making it big has always led me to do something or the other. I've been very selective of
03:06what I do, honestly. Be it my Rakhtanchal show or how I began my journey in the industry.
03:13Cut to Big Boss, which I was not going to do. My father and mother advised me to do,
03:19which I did. That time I thought, I would be a disaster in Big Boss because I can't
03:24fight with people. I have not done community living. How will I fight with people there?
03:30But I remained truthful to myself and my persona. And I think that translated into something
03:36and yes, somehow it has led me to Housefull 500%. The kind of love and adulation I have
03:44got after that. It is surreal. I mean, people still go and click photos with their parents
03:50whether I'm there or not. So, you know, it speaks volumes for itself. But I feel every
03:55dot is connected. Earlier, I used to think, why did I do it? Because I lost out on very
03:59one or two important films, which have become big hits now. And I was going to do them,
04:06but I remained in the Big Boss house. I didn't come out. And I thought that I would just
04:10stay for like 3-4 weeks. I'm not going to survive there. But I think I was the dark
04:15horse over there. I would like to at least believe that. And God has been kind to me.
04:22And then the ad came out with Shah Rukh Sir, Akshay Sir, Salman Sir, and now Housefull
04:28500%. Somewhere, I think, something is going well. God is kind. I have taken a baby step
04:35for my career.
04:42If this was the case, then 16 Big Boss seasons have been done, 17. How many people have got
04:47that as a lead? I don't think any contestant has ever got a role as a lead in any film.
04:54And I'm not arrogant about it. Yes, they have received noticeable roles and notable work
05:01and bigger pedestals and everything. And yes, Big Boss gives you a platform, which I don't
05:06think anything can give you. And I'm truly grateful for Big Boss. Because if it wasn't for Big
05:11Boss, then maybe my makers or my fans, whom I get so much love from, or my ad. The ad I had
05:17shot much before I got Big Boss. It was released after Big Boss. So the kind of recognition I
05:23got is only because people saw me in Big Boss. Big Boss has given me that platform. But not
05:28necessarily because of the popularity of Big Boss, you being cast for anything bigger. I think
05:35everything goes hand in hand. This is my personal opinion. But definitely, it gives you that
05:42kind of the bandwidth of Big Boss is humongous, I would say. Because I'll tell you a small
05:47incident. I was shooting in London, a countryside, we were shooting at a small place. People
05:53used to come there to take photos with me. Saundarya Sharma, we saw you in Big Boss. And this is
05:59what Big Boss does to you. It is so huge and humongous. But not necessarily because of the
06:04popularity of the show, you just being cast.
06:07Not at all. Not so far. That is going to be my USP. And I'm the surprise. I'm the newest and the
06:17most junior in the film. And I'm the surprise package of the film. And I also feel sometimes,
06:25like the way you frame the question, of course, it is a mindset and a thought process. But I
06:30think that way, you outshine as well. In Big Boss, all the talented people who come, they all want
06:38to make it big. There are so many contestants. But you still outshine there. At least, I would
06:43like to believe I have done the best in my capacity to do the best in my favor, right? So when you
06:50are outshining there, among so many people. So this is such a big platform. And I don't think
06:56anyone can take anyone's space. Like how can I take space, which belongs to say, Jackie or say
07:03Akshay sir or anyone. Everyone has their own space. You can never be overshadowed. Whatever is
07:09yours, belongs to you, will come to you. In fact, you have a win-win situation in this. Firstly,
07:16you are getting experience. Plus, you get to meet the people you have always dreamt all your life
07:22and be part of such a bigger production. So this is as an experience.
07:27No, I think we should stop taking this too seriously. It's just, we are very opinionated as
07:37people for sure. But then it's just a very light heart, like comedy, a very slice of life kind of
07:43a comedy. And whatever is being shown in the film, it's like how you would be dealing with your
07:49female friends or male friends. I don't think there is any particular portrayal of any female
07:55or any women, what you're talking about, not that I'm aware of. It's just a very fun film.
08:00I mean, it's all for entertainment. Why should we take it so seriously?
08:05Where there is a talk of portrayal, people should take stand over there instead of just subjecting
08:10certain films and franchises for their depiction of characters. We are playing a character, aren't we?
08:16100% no matter how much you twist it, I'm not going to tell you the plot of the film.
08:26But I can assure, guarantee you, you'd play this interview later, you will understand.
08:32This Housefull 5 is entirely different from all four franchise films you have seen previously.
08:39It's very different. It's larger than life. It's a firecracker movie. It's a bomb movie.
08:45And my character is a surprise package. I mean, it's going to be fun to watch.
08:49I hope so. This is what I would like to believe at least for now.
08:53But it's very different. It's not, it'll break the stereotype of regular comedy film franchise.
09:05No, I have not seen my show only. How would I see others?
