00:00I feel like when people do too much coloration that matches,
00:03it gives off mannequin, and I ain't with the mannequin challenge, you see what I'm saying?
00:16What's up GQ, it's your boy Offset, and this is Big Fix.
00:19When I get dressed, the first thing I look for is jeans, pants. I feel like a lot of people
00:31start with the shoes maybe. Pants has always been number one since I was young,
00:35even when 501s was in with Levi's, like it always was there. After that, I'm gonna go with
00:41the shirt, and then I'm gonna go with accessories before I pick the shoes,
00:45because sometimes I don't like being too matching with my shirt. I don't want my
00:48shoes matching with my shirt so much. I rather the accessories, like if I have silver beltline,
00:53I would have a little silver on my shoe. Style icons inspire me. Karl Lockerfield,
00:58for sure. Edis Lemayne, when he was at Saint Laurent. Simone Roche is fire too. I'd be mad
01:05if some of them pieces be for women I can't get. Let's talk through some of my iconic fits.
01:13So right here, I got the sit-it-off belt. This belt right here, I got this belt custom made
01:16for my album, Sit-It-Off, inspired by Michael Jackson. I think he was doing a charity event,
01:21giving back to a kid's hospital. He had the red suit on, and he had the big buckle. I got it
01:25smaller, and then I put sit-it-off inside of the belt. It plays this real sterling metal, too.
01:31I got my Rig Vessel. These are my custom chrome gloves. You catch the details on them with the
01:36one gray patch and the black patches all around them. I got a custom. This is for tour, because
01:40I love gloves. Accessories is what matter. With these chrome heart custom pants that I got made,
01:45with this leg piece that goes through the loops of the pants, and that's custom chrome, too.
01:50Matty Boy, which is the creative director, that's my homie. When I hit him up, I'm like,
01:53yo, I'm going on tour. I want something crazy. I need something crazy. And so me and him went
01:58through ideas, and we came up with design, and that's how you get it, custom chrome.
02:02I feel like every time I step out, it's a look. I mean, even if I go sweats,
02:06the way I'm going to have it, I still feel like it's a look. Even when I go to the airport,
02:10just all gray sweatpants, maybe some Asics, some cool white socks showing a little bit,
02:15pull the sweats up a little bit, and a cool hoodie. It ain't no limited fashion,
02:19so I don't feel like it be no high and low. Only make it high and low is the price.
02:23And so if you're on the lower scale of things, you should go rock with the thrift stores or
02:28the vintage shops in New York. Soho got a lot of hidden gems for the thrift stores and the
02:33vintage spots. Y'all might go hit Brooklyn, go L Train to get some pieces out of the benches,
02:37because they having dope stuff right there. It ain't going to cost them much money,
02:40but it look like it costs a lot of money.
02:41That's some tricky things you're going to talk about.
02:44Stuff always come back around, you know what I'm saying? I just give certain brands alley-oops.
02:49I turned the world up, I feel like, with Gallery's apartment. Side of the house,
02:52where he doing his big one with that. We used to get jeans out of American Eagle and Aeropostale
02:56when everybody was not rocking it. And so we was going in there, they had the crazy ripped denim
03:01jeans. And Diesel, too, used to have crazy structured jeans. I've been going crop lately
03:05on a lot of my pieces, flaring the pants. That always has been a style, but coming back,
03:10bringing it, coming back around. So I mean, when I first was flaring it up, everything,
03:13everybody was asking, like, why you flaring up your pants? I don't like getting into the
03:17conversations of who did it first. I just like to say I did it best.
03:21So Rick Owens is my man, so you never get tired of him. Michelle, shout out to Michelle. I love
03:25her. I eat dinner with her every time I'm in Paris at the crib. Rick is timeless, man. I feel
03:29like a lot of people is getting onto it, catching onto it. But you want that for you, for your
03:33peoples. I want people to catch on. You know what I'm saying? It's certain stuff I know they
03:36won't wear still. Some of his pieces, they look like couture pieces that are released to the
03:41public. So everybody should get in Rick. Do you have a favorite MJ look that you pulled off?
03:47The one when I took my daughters, because my daughters match me. I took them to the
03:50Mermaid premiere. I had on what Mike had on when he was at the Grammys with Janet. It was fire
03:56because my little girls had like the little princess. It was a vibe. Another piece I was
04:00able to put my hands on was Michael Jackson's Letterman that he wore in Thriller. Wearing that,
04:05holding that was like chills in the body because you know it's like the history on it. And then
04:08actually on Fan, I was able to wear a smooth criminal jacket also. Okay, this is my Wallow
04:14belt right here. She is a designer out of London. She's very dope. She's coming up. And then I got
04:20the comb. You can never go wrong with comb. Comb de Garcon, if you don't know. Last but not least,
04:26I got the MM6. When I went to GQ Man of the Year, they sent me this look. Boots fire with the steel
04:34toe right there. Hot top joints. It's a trench coat with like a hoodie scarf. See, it's a scarf,
04:40but it's not a full hoodie, but it got a hood on it to the scarf that you're throwing on with
04:44the trench. And it's a vibe with the MM6. It's stretched at the bottom with the white boxers
04:50like you sagging. MM6, that's dope. How do you ensure that your outfit is not only
04:56looking great, but you're also comfortable? I ain't never uncomfortable because you know,
05:00I know I look good and everything. I don't know about you. But with me, if I can put my little
05:04twist on it, then we good. Like when brands give me pieces that are wild, I always work with them
05:10because I feel like they got a vision too. And I try to make sure we balance the vision. You got
05:14to be a risk taker because it ain't no, like you're saying, it ain't no right way to go.
05:18It's the way you do it. And everybody got their own different tastes. Everybody ain't going to
05:21like your outfit though. Two at the same time, but I ain't trying to please you. I'm trying to
05:25please me. As long as I feel good in it, I'm cool. I just feel like your own identity and wearing
05:30stuff. I ain't trying to wear it because it might be the coolest brand or like, because everybody
05:34say this, what's going on. I really like to go the opposite way of what everybody else doing.
05:39So with these beautiful pieces that I showed you, I have a great idea. I'll send these off
05:43to give back to mental health and help with resources for people that might be going through
05:47it. So GQ, this next rack right here is for my week in New York, you know, it's New York Fashion
05:56Week. So, and I must put it on. This is like the aura of fashion anyways. Like this is the core
06:02of fashion anyways, the city by itself. So New York Fashion Week, to me, it just give a lot of
06:07the young creators a shot. I got to go to a Billboard Power Players event tonight. So I'm
06:13throwing on these calm shorts right here with the buttons on it. I just feel like the buttons
06:18are significant and the color of them, they look like pearls. I feel like you had that bottom on
06:22with them white socks. And I might repeat, like with clothes, I'm not the artist that's going to
06:26ever tell you to wear something once. I'm going to recycle and I'm going to run it back because
06:30I know I'm going to make it look better than it did last time. So with these, I'm thinking about
06:33wearing those calm shoes that has a shoe on top with some socks. This is a calm, it's like a,
06:38it's like a hoodie. It's not a shirt. It's a, it's a layered up piece. I could wear it with
06:42probably like a button over the top, throw the hood on that joint, come through, look like
06:46Luke Skywalker. You dig? I like these too. Calm's one of my favorite brands. I feel like a lot of
06:52their pieces be with the couture and they look like bizarre. And like, you're going to see it,
06:56you're going to, if you see it, you know. I ain't going to lie though, like my early ages, I was
06:59like, I like this. I like that. You got to put the clothes on sometimes to actually see how,
07:04how it fit and how it look on you. Sometimes you might be scared to wear something cause
07:07and you ain't put it on, but when you put it on, it's like magic.
07:10Big Fear number one, we're going to go calm,
07:15button down shirt. We're going to accessorize. We're going to layer it up with this calm
07:19leather hood piece. I'm going to show you, give you an example of how we're going to rock it.
07:23This piece supposed to be in the front like that. You know, that's why I like calm. I ain't
07:26going to tell nobody on though. That's a good piece. Then you're going to go, you're going to
07:30go with these calm button down shorts with my leather bow tie. This is fit one. The shoes,
07:40we're going to go with that. We're going to go, like I said, with the fit kind of wild. We're
07:43going to go with these calms right here with the Pharrell Louis Vuitton socks, slouched.
07:51Give you that prep look. That's fit one. Fit two, mix things up. I could go these calm shorts
07:58right here with the MM6 trench, but I'm going to open it up so you can see the shorts.
08:07That's playing right there. You see I'm sad.
08:14This fit two. Third fit, we're going to go these calm shorts that I showed you earlier with the
08:23chain accessories. Sometimes I just keep it on the pants with my custom crop. So, you know,
08:29this is Zara button ups. I'm saying it's just how you can mix it and you don't got to know.
08:34You just cut the bottom, made a little distress. Now it's a vibe with the calm jacket with the
08:39distress collar. With the Mowalla belt, the crop button up, we're going to be able to show you the
08:43belt and we're going to close this last fit off with some more calm. This is the shorts with the
08:51white soft socks. Wow. Come over here to the accessories. These calm heart, they got like the
08:57tan, like orange lens a little bit. I would wear that with the third look. The calms would go with
09:02this look right here. This is cropped peppy with the long shorts. I feel like that'll be the vibe
09:07for that. The MM6 look, there's leather on the Margiela glasses. Fire. I'm going to wear that
09:12with that. With this look right here. And then for this last look, I'll probably go no glasses
09:19just because the hood is loud. I can throw the hood up. I'll probably go no glasses,
09:23clean face. I look good at all times, baby. Fuck with me. And that's how I'm accessorizing. The
09:29pieces speak loud for themselves. So I go light on the jewelry. I might just wear just a watch,
09:33no chain, no bracelet, just cool watch and keep it pushing. I'm going to go this Audemars. I just
09:38got this joint right here. Get a closer for that. Only me and Michael Jordan and Serena Williams
09:42got this right now. This is the stainless skeleton with the face rose gold. I might throw a little
09:47Van Cleef on there, but I might go one or two just because the outfit's so loud. I'm like,
09:52Trump. For a fit like this, I only see maybe one of the Margiela one. I'll probably go a Cuban
09:58here. There are a couple of these pointed diamond chains, but like a Jesus cross, not too much still
10:03just because. But back, back, back, I would probably just do every chain on, every bracelet
10:08on. But I feel like sometimes now that take away from the look. And sunglasses, I'm looking for
10:12like the shape, you see, cause my face, I don't really like big glasses. So I like kind of
10:17overshade or like slim clip. I got my Speedy right here and my Minecraft bag that Pharrell did, both
10:22of these. I used to be dressing on some bullshit in the beginning of my career. Now that I look
10:28at it, like how I dress now to me, like I was like some shit I was doing. Like I was a little
10:33everywhere. I was trying to find myself, but I got another.
