00:00Today we launched the first edition of the Global Welfare Summit.
00:09Here in Villamiane we have involved companies, institutions,
00:13major players in the sector, health pension funds, to discuss global welfare.
00:19Welfare has now become an indispensable issue for the well-being of workers and citizens.
00:25The data from our observatory have shown that there is a big difference
00:30between small and medium-sized enterprises and large enterprises.
00:34In particular, small enterprises still only in 16% of cases
00:39introduce additional measures compared to contractual ones,
00:43while large enterprises are assessed above 70%.
00:47We have launched proposals for the relaunch of the global welfare of workers.
00:51The first one is about the additional prevention and, in particular,
00:55the introduction of mandatory coverage for large risks within pension funds.
01:00The second measure is about the integration of health,
01:04which needs to be more regulated,
01:09it must be more inclusive and dedicated to categories of subjects
01:13that today cannot afford it.
01:16Finally, it is necessary to promote the dissemination of welfare measures
01:20to small and medium-sized enterprises through the role of the contractual welfare,
01:24and therefore of the social parties.
